Ourwishingwell.com is very user-friendly and is quite easy to set up. I wanted to gift my sister and her husband a trip to Paris for their honeymoon. I had joined hands with my parents and one of my sister's friends to organize this gift and ourwishingwell.com made the entire experience very simple. I wish to convey my heartfelt thanks for helping us to gift her one of her lifetime gifts.

On our extensive hunt for the best online gift registry, my fiancé and I landed at the website of ourwishingwell.com gift registry. They have a brilliant collection of gifts to suit all price ranges. Every experience of registering, creating a wish list according to our taste, and receiving the gifts on time was a pleasurable experience in our wedding journey and brought us closer to each other. Thanks a ton

We created a fundraising registry for our NGO on OurWishingWell.com and what a huge difference it made! Without sticking our hands out for monetary contributions, we were able to raise almost double the amount that we had initially planned for, and all our contributors asked us to keep using this mode as it was quick and hassle-free for them to send us the money.

I recently opened an account on this site. They don't give you any explanation and don't asnwer your questions. I used my one credit card to check how the website works, but they refunded the operation because it appear to be fraudulent. How can it be fraudulent to use my own credit card!

I strongly recommend not to use this website!

I and my fiance are both freelance professionals who have to move around a lot. As we don’t have any specific place to call home for a long period, we were worried once we decided to get married thinking what our guests would feel if we didn’t carry their gifts along. That’s when the idea of setting an online wedding registry cropped up. We were lucky to have found OurWishingWell.com for the purpose.

When we decided to tie knot at a ripe age, we started looking for a wedding registry that would be different from typical registries that ask for "Honeymoon Fund" or ask us to identify every piece of furniture we would buy. OurWishingWell.com gave us the ideal solution by allowing us to customize our wedding registry to exactly what we needed and wanted.

We decided to set a baby shower wishing well for a friend but since all of us weren’t too interested in transporting the gifts or handling too much of cash lying in the well, we decided to use OurWishingWell.com to set a baby registry. It was very easy and took a lot of trouble off our shoulders. Thanks you OurWishingWell.com.

I have used the honeymoon registry of our wishing well. And I must say their services are very nice. I found this very cheap as compared to other registries available. My wife and I had a great experience with their services. It is easy to manage and access. As they provide the services online we can easily use the registry from anywhere we want to. I admire their services very much. One like for it.

Terrible
March 18, 2013

Terrible. The fees are too high, and also, I specifically wanted to use an internet registry to ensure that we didn't have to do a formal registry. Of course, I found out a month after my invitations had gone out, that the site had created a huge registry filled with expensive gifts that I nor my fiance had picked out. Ridiculous!
I just had to go back and delete all the ridiculous items they made it look like we choose for our registry. Don't use this site. It's terrible, just have friends and family give you checks.

Huge Ripoff!
June 30, 2012

Huge Ripoff! As my time on the site comes to a close, I'm quite disappointed. I definitely do not recommend it. The main reason is that the fees are astronomically high. For each gift we received, 8% was taken from the gift (5% from the site and 3% from the credit card company.) Then when we went to withdraw funds, another 5% was taken out of our total amount. This brings the total to 13% fees. If my wedding guests had known that only $87 of every $100 that they gave us was going to go to us, they would not have used the site to give us a gift, and would have just given cash. In fact, I'm embarassed to share with them, that I made such a poor financial decision as to use the site.

Fees are not all disclosed up front - when you go to withdraw they hit you with ANOTHER service fee that is about $30. Just let people give you checks.

They describe their fees as being 'small'. But here is how it REALLY breaks down:
When the gift giver 'buys' you a gift, the total is first knocked down by 3.5% for credit card fees.
Then for anything less than $500, the site takes 5%.
Then, when it comes to withdrawing your money, unless you have taken in over $20,000, you get hit for ANOTHER 5%.
So in total:
3.5% + 5% + 5% = 13.5%.

The concept is great, but it is a total ripoff. I wish we had asked for envelopes with money.

The site allows you to send money to the bride- and groom-to-be so that they can use it for whatever they wish. It is a cash present that woul be designated to a list of items that they wish to purchase if they had the money for it. The only issue is that in order to give them $50 you are stuck with a $4+ fee from the site itself and a service charge from your card company on top of it! Makes you think that you would rather give them cash at the actual wedding reception or use other perks or gift cards that can be free! Why pay $56 to give $50... that is $6 you are just giving away to someone else!
