I didn't know where to go to obtain a new copy of my birth certificate so I searched it up online. I came to this web page & I assumed I was at a legitimate government website. Come to find out the only service this website provides is filling in the application for you once you have already filled in the information they ask of you.
Then you still have to do all the work you would have had to do had you gone to the correct government web site in the first place.
Basically working with them is just like throwing away money. They do nothing for the money you give them.
They make it seem as though your getting a copy of a birth certificate, all they do is send you a free application, it would be the same as paying $47 dollars to print a copy of a vehicle registration when al you have to do is walk into the DMV for the same thing free! You get nothing but the same piece of paper you can get online at any vital location, save yourself the trouble.
This site is a joke. I had my wife go online to help me get a copy of my birth certificate. I live in Virginia but was born in Maryland. She did her credit card here for 47.00 and they emailed her the paperwork to mail to Maryland. She did that and had to pay Maryland an extra ten dollars. Well they rejected it because I had an out of state id. I called the Maryland office and the lady said I can go to any Health and Human services and I could get a copy within 15 minutes. I went ahead and drove one hours to Maryland and when I got there she said no problem, just fill out this form. It turns out to be the same form these clowns sent my wife in an email for 47.00... What a joke. So I end up in Maryland and it took a whole ten minutes and I got my certificate. So what I am saying, is these clowns just send you the paperwork. You have to send the completed paperwork with a self addressed stamped envelope to the state. Just avoid paying these scammers the 47.00 and go print the form off the computer.
After entering all the required information but being skeptical about the website, a pop-up offered a 7 dollar discount and I went to check-out. It declined a major credit card with over $2,500 available credit. Then a bit confused, I entered another major credit cards info, and it was declined as well. Tried a 3rd major credit card that rhymes with Discover and it was declined although about $7,000 was available on that card. Thoroughly confused and aggravated and desperately needing a certified copy of my birth certificate, I used a sub-prime credit card with a puny $700 credit line and $700 available credit, and it was approved.
Then I received a notification page that basically read how I would receive the application soon with the instructions on how to send it off "myself" and receive a certified birth certificate, after I paid the required fees to the state.
Confused as to what I just purchased, I noticed several alerts to my phone and all were potential fraud alerts from the first 3 credit card companies.
I immediately did a Google search and realized I was duped.
I replied to all the credit card alerts, and found out that the first 3 cards had 16 authorization attempts made, of 40-47 dollars each.
Had to request to have all 4 cards re-issued with new account numbers, and have the last account dispute the "fraudulent charge".
Their website is VERY deceptive, and you don't realize it until after you've shared sensitive information with them.
Data-mining for personal information on 3 levels -
Birth certificate information, Home Address and email address information, credit card information.
I still can't believe I fell for their discount "lure", and didn't question why 3 major credit cards with excessive amounts of available credit "mysteriously" declined the transaction.
I learned a valuable lesson today, even though it cost me $47 bucks, I'll feel much better when it cost me nothing.
That's my experience,... your experience may vary but all these reviews can't be wrong.
They don't have a rating low enough to justify the scam artists that this company is. I paid $47 just to receive a form to print out. Also wanted me to send more $$$$$. I have been going around and around with them via email. I originally requested this 6/7/19. Still nothing! Now I have to pay more $$$ to a different company to get the birth certificate. I am beyond disappointed.
In the end, the only thing I got for the $47 was a mostly completed form, that I had to mail in. I later found where I could download the form myself from the state web page. So check there first and save your money.
Now one month after I started the process, I still do not have the birth certificate.
Opening a bank account most of the times is a pain in the neck. They ask you many documents and that it's upsetting. I don't have a driver's license, so I was asked for my birth certificate as a primary piece of identification. I didn't want to lose more time, that's why I decided to order a copy of my birth certificate online. This company was extremely polite (even when I was edgy). About the application, the process was direct and effective. No problem at all. Got my certificate in 3 business days in Rapid City (South Dakota).
Make sure and check first with the state you need any documentation from. This sight says that they comply with all states, however it's false information. Check with your state first!
Don't use this company! I paid $49 for a birth certificate pdf document that's free on dept of health website. I reported the fraud to my bank and had the charges returned, but it was still a hassle. Make sure you use your states dept of health web site to get the documents you need. This company piggybacks onto those sites to make you believe it's a legitimate transaction, but then you get nothing once the payment goes through. Stay away!
Filled out forms pushed pay it told me payment didnt go through so thinking well it is state of Indiana try again!? Duh husband called me, said bank called him they have charged our card 7 times so far! WTF is up people beware anyway they are coming through Barcelona Spain! So much for Indiana. Rex &Cyndra Powell
Cannot believe I got suckered into this. I was in such a hurry thatI didn't check the reviews. Why are they allowed to still be in business? You can download these forms for nothing and mail it in. Now I am paying 40.00 more than I should have for a birth certificate. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE!
I thought I was ordering a copy of my birth certificate, order number OP21T4XZ, but this is only an application help service. Hey, any idiot can fill out an application. What I need is my birth certificate. I called my credit card company and they may be able to help me cancel this charge. This company is a scam. Do not use them under any circumstances unless you can't read English and truly need help filling out an application.
The process to get a birth certificate with onlinevitalus is very easy and clear, as long as you follow all the instructions. The customer service was supportive and clarified all my doubts. It took 4 business days. If needed, I would use them again. If you're wondering, yes I am a real customer. I see that most of the times people just complain. But come on, if you're satisfied with the service, you should say it too. That's why I am writing this review. Maybe it can help future customers that aren't sure if this company is a good one. Trust me, it is.
This is a RIPOFF! You pay 47.00 for nothing. They do not get you a copy of Nothing. They need reported to Better Business Office
Go to your states vital records, all these guys do is steal your money. They charge you just to email you an application from vitalcheck.com but vitalcheck and Colorado public health have nothing to do with them.
Well my lesson is a hard learned one. They lead you to believe that they will take care of EVERYTHING. The only thing they take care of is charging you $47 immediately and email you paperwork to send and you have to pay for the birth certificate on top of the $47 you threw down their greedy toilet.
Looks like I got bent over like the rest before finding these reviews, make you think your 47$ goes to the purchase of a certificate, IT DOES NOT, a legitimate business (which this is NOT) would state the fees up front, I'm sure somewhere in the fine print or linked from other pages stating additional fees, be a real honest business you idiots, this is why the world is F#&ed up, because of morons running companies like these.
Paid $47.00, did not need the document, never filled out the paperwork, advised same via e mail but requests for a refund have been ignored for 3 weeks. I have numerous " case ID" numbers in my collection of ignored e mails..
What's all the hype about... Trust me i was real sceptical after reading all the reviews but went ahead & tried them for myself... I must admit i waited for almost an hour before i got anyone on the phone... guy took my information & told me it would be $72... i placed a order@ or around 5pm on a tuesday & received my Birth certificate that thursday... I'm very satisfied with this service impressed the - out of me... now i can go to the secretary of state & get my temporary permit to drive again... If you can order by phone then do it instead of by mail... its alot faster process...
All this site does is prefill the application for your birth certificate. You still need to pay the state's fees and expedited shipping. Feel like a real dope. Website is misleading but in all fairness I should have read it more carefully. Save the money download the application fill it in yourself thats all they do for 47 dollars. What an ingenious scam. Perhaps they will be held accountable someday. Please avoid them!
Answer: So what what did your state attorney say? I hope you got a decent answer, but obviously they are still up and running.
Answer: You're not getting ANYTHING. You just wasted your money like the rest of us did.
