OnlineBookClub is an awesome way to receive good recommendations for books. You also can review those books and if guidelines are met you could potentially get paid for your honest review of those books. I have been looking for a credible site that offered excellent books with the potential to get paid for doing what I love... READ! I am looking forward to working with OnlineBookClub. So far from the books that I have seen listed seem to be right up my alley with the genres and subject matter that I like to read.

These folks have developed a great following and a streamline process. The honest reviews are very helpful. I hope that as my other 6 six books come out that these folks will do me the privilege of having them review them also.

I cannot recommend this site to anyone at this time. I am having increasingly more trouble the further that I progress with their tier system. I am a writer and proofreader by trade, and their editors find repeated reason to nitpick my reviews and give them low scores, most frequently just as I am a few points from reaching the next level. And, to be blunt, since these editors are quite biased and interpret the set guidelines (which are very vague to begin with) how they see fit, and it rarely goes in the reviewer's favor.

Another issue I have is with the forums. I posted in the help forum about a review that was pending from July 2021 and had not been paid out (I had been patient as it was January 2022 when I finally raised an issue over it) and an admin came along and told me the help forum was not a place for complaints, then deleted my post.

The most recent review I submitted was for a $35.00 payout. It was declined because the editor vehemently states that I included a spoiler in my review (I did not), and now I am out that payment, along with the money I spent to buy the book in the first place so that I could do the review (Some books are self-purchase, and this is typically with the ones listed under a higher payout).

TL: DNR - Don't do it. This site is not worth it, payouts are tiny, and the books are generally horrid (in multiple ways. We're talking no editor, self-published, religiously ranting drivel).

Edit: The owner reached out to me, but basically was just outraged that I dared to leave a poor review of the site. 10/10 do NOT recommend.

I found this website through an article about how I can earn money while reading. Through the list of the websites recommended, I find this company very useful.

I was overwhelmed that the reviewer conducted such an extensive review of each and every chapter. I realize that even a reviewer is still a reader and how a story hits that reader is a subjective term. Nonetheless, this reviewer validated all of my extraordinary hard work to get this novel finished and published, but also to view me as a good writer that I can craft a story that is as he put it, "a real page turner!" and that means a lot!

Such a fun and wonderful way of keeping track of my reading. Just joined for a contest. Super fun!
