I'm still not over the shock of the death of my brother due to the bullies on Nextdoor as well as the so-called support staff which allowed such actions to continue on the website. Along the false assumption that two or more brothers could never have the same initials (which he was bullied to no end over) as well as what I have mentioned about earlier of his learning disabilities to which he was bullied over to the several so called (lack of) support people with no last names (I can see why now) he never stood a chance of not having the ability to keep from killing himself. If they want proof, go to Fort Logan National Cemetery.
Around this time on Monday 4/8/19 marks roughly when I found my brother unconscious with pills by his side, almost 48 hours later he is still unconscious. Trying to understand why I had started reading and surprised by the actions of the so-called moderators had been doing since the very first hour he was on the website. I was appalled by their flat out accusations that I was the same person as my brother. At first I could see he was doing his best to ignore their harassment and go on. Undeterred those same moderators made cruller attacks on my brother. And those folks did not let up, no matter how many times I or my brother reported their actions. It looked as if they could get away with impunity. Today I received notice that our profiles were suspended because of the totally false assumption we were the same person.
Am I angry that those moderators and others could run around with impunity, your dang right I am, especially when they caused enough grief toward my brother that he tried to take his life. I see this site would like photos, but I doubt they would ever be published because it would show my brother, with a piece of steel for one side of his head and nothing below his knees, lying in a pool of vomit. I hate to say this, but if my brother dies because of the treatment he received in that short time he was on that website I'll do everything in my power to make sure Cathy Brady and Ken Rost pay for their deeds as well as nextdoor for not doing a thing to stop theirs and others actions toward my brother.
Enjoy looking at this site on daily bases, lots of information. Good buys on everything to furniture, ect. Plus if looking for help on anything around the house, awesome site to reach out to.
Gee. My review of Nextdoor that was on for a week or so seems to be gone. And I followed all the rules too. I wonder what happened to it. Did Nextdoor leads get that one deleted too? Here we have a situation where people who have no business monitoring and reporting others are in charge. If you keep your head low and your nose clean, all is well. If you say something they don't like, you're out. Now let's see how long it takes for them to delete THIS one. Then I'll have to post my review on Trustpilot which has a Nextdoor review score of 88% bad.

This site has been very detrimental to our neighborhood. Turns out to be an outlet for a multitude of unhappy people who can do nothing more than bash everything. I truly wish that it had never been used in our neighborhood and fortunately there are a lot more of us who wish it would just go away.
Nextdoor staff offers no help when seeking solutions to an intolerable situation.
I really enjoy this neighborhood social media site and look at it daily. I enjoy hearing about neighborhood events that I might have otherwise missed, people's business recommendations, critical situations, items for sale or even free, and I even got a side job about 2 weeks ago from it. However, there are a few very contentious individuals who seem to just want tp profess their knowledge of ALL things and start a huge disagreement. I do not appreciate their comments, but I realize we take the bad with the good in our lives, and I try to just ignore the rude and hurtful comments.
Pretty positive only once or twice have I had to clarify to help a smart-aleck understand. Good info is shared.
Nextdoor mostly works well. I use it to keep up on news, find out what is important to my neighbors, share news and advice, and sometimes list an item for free or for sale.
Enjoy getting to hear what's up with neighbors, news in the area, seeing things in the for sale and free site (picked up some great items for our son's family to be). Great site.
Neighbors talking to each other and learning from those around them is a great thing. After a widow asked for help finding a trustworthy plumber to fix her sink, multiple neighbors offered help for free. That's the way it should be.
Very helpful when posting a neighborhood meeting to address a concern or to announce a neighborhood event like the fishing tournament this weekend or a social. I don't post as often as some members but very quick and helpful to get the "word" out...
Absolutely hate the new daily e-mail format. It seems it was designed to make it as difficult as possible to see replies and follow established threads. I used to enjoy seeing what was happening on Nextdoor. Now I actually dread it.
I think it helps the neighborhood out lets them know what's events coming up. What's happening in the neighborhood and what kind of crimes are going on
In the years that I've been on Nextdoor, I've witnessed it evolve into a great way for neighbors to communicate with each other about their life in general and their hopes for a better neighborhood.
Though I'm not an active participant, I always enjoy reading the topics on Nextdoor to keep up on what's going on in the neighborhood. Thanks.
I gave it a 3 because I have bad experiences with no one getting back to me on Nextdoor concerning me, a retiree, advertising my video and computer hobbies. I do work for many other retired and non-retired people who just want a lot less expense and hastle. I'm not getting rich off the services I offer and it keeps me occupied. But I have been reported several times and I have tried reaching out to the person(s) removing my posts, even when they were in response to a question, to no luck. I even tried going through the proper channels and never a return response. I feel I am being punished for being retired.
I like the way members can select only the neighbor areas they want and then find out just what's happening in them. And if you have given up Facebook and the rest in order to stop seeing so many ads and fake news, Nextdoor is a good way to continue to communicate locally.
Information about my neighborhood is always welcome. Its good that others in the neighborhood feel the same.
I've relied on next door for a lot of our home needs be it selling garden items on marketplace, getting recommendations for home services like window washing to a lost pet. Hands down it has helped make our lives easier!
BULLIES. That's a great term for this forum. I posted about my services in its correct category as well as in general. Some lead had a conniption fit about a caregiving post in general? For real? So then they put me in "read-only" without notification nor the ability to defend my position. After reporting a problem. It took 2 months to tell me THEY did it. Not to mention they sell your info.
