Bought a PayPal prepaid card put $120 on it when I went to activate it I was told by netspend that I can't have a netspend account. Mind you I have a small business account with them so I asked about that and was told it was closed but I never received the money from that account. The lady then tells me that they will send me a check for the $120 and review my small business account to see why I have not got the money from that account. I will not recommend this company to anyone.
After 6 years and direct deposit my card was canceled without notice I was very happy with my card… they said it was fraudulent activity as if I did something with a prepaid card!

Beware that there is a $5 monthly fee. You can't transfer money from its account to another bank account. Unlike other banks, they never tell you there is a monthly fee on the website where you sign up. Once I found out, I want to withdrawal and close the account. They told you to go the counter to withdraw, and you will be charge a 1% for that. I was charge $12.40 withdrawal fee plus the $5 monthly fee even I decide not to use it and close it.

Total garbage "gift card". Legally, gift cards are supposed to be good for 5 years. Netspend set their company up to purposefully get around this law. Their company is trash. Their polices are trash. Their cards are trash. They should be tossed into the dustbin of history. THEIR CARDS ARE A SCAM. AVIOD THEM AT ALL COSTS! ZERO STARS.

First, let me say NetSpend had awesome customer service. The key word had! I have used them since 2016 and then was switched to all Access by 2019. I thought they were great to use because all 4 kids in college and it was an easy way to send money. Well, I had a direct deposit sent which they stated they needed proof, I was like ok. Send proof wait 6 hours, no email. Then when I receive an email it has nothing to do with what I spoke to rep about and sent. No one knew what I was talking about?!? I called to see why no response and the rep was talking so much I couldn't even speak. I was so confused, what happened to the customer service or the practices I had grown to love? Needless to say, the 5 of us are switching asap. Do you research there are newer companies which have what NetSpend used to be. I still don't have a response. Please again do your research!

Hi,
Netspend will do everything and anything to stop you from activating your card. They will ask you for social security ID, driver license, US passport, utility bills, home information, everything you can think of. I am not sure what do they do with this information, using it to send us IRS FAKE calls? Open new accounts under our names? This company should not be allowed to operate in US.
Read their card package, it says they charge 8 DIFFERENT FEES.

I have had my Netspend card for several years. The entire reason for getting the card is because of the 2 day earlier posting times for direct deposit. Over the years of having netspend, I have gone from getting my pay like clock work at 9pm Wednesday night (payday is actually Friday), to early hours Thursday morning, to now it randomly posting late Thursday night. The Times I have called about this issue, of course, Netspend blames my company though I know others who use different financial institutions who post their pay early DONT have this issue! This has caused me so many problems especially when setting up bills. Needless to say, I am SICK to death of Netspend and this BS! Just give me my f***ing money already!

My elderly father has an account with this company and recently lost his card and requested a replacement for a $25 expedited fee and the card never arrived. The fee was supposed have to card sent in 1-3 business days back in June. Since then my father has been hospitalized and each time he calls and tries to inquire about his account they ask him a series of questions that i know he doesn't know the answer to as he has early onset dementia and when you provide his social security number they now say the account doesn't exist. My father's monthly social security benefits are applied to this card and for the last two months he (we) have not been able to access his money to pay his bills like rent, which means i have been paying the bills. We've recently had to enlist the help of an attorney. NetSpend should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of unsuspecting people like my father.

Someone gifted me a sum of money on a Netspend card for expenses I had. I warned them before about Netspend but they insisted. I put the card away but later decided to add the money to my bank account. I definitely know my passcode but Netspend kept declining access. I called the company and discovered they had my card blocked, but was taking money for their maintenance fees. I couldn't get my money but they can take it. I tried to get what was left at an ATM. Card declined again. I was finally able to access a very small amount. I guess Netspend will take the rest for their fees. At least I have pocket change. Crooks.

I bought two different PayPal netspend cards for my step sons, so they could buy stuff for Christmas online. Both were $100 and after several attempts to activate and a ridiculous amount of back and forth I gave up, well now it's been a few months and I started to try again to activate as I don't like being stolen from and now they basically just hang up on
Me and say those cards are expired. I seriously wonder what percent of money put on these cards just get lost to fees or just abandoned out of frustration. This is the second time in two weeks this company allow unauthorized money to be taken from my account. The first time it was 875.00. I explained I'm a cancer patient I need my money back. Then I had to wait 10 days. Received a call from fraud
department stating someone order another card
and they will block it. They attached this card to my account and someone was able to take out 303.00. You can call the non English speaker don't understand. Have no numbers to fraud department or headquarters. Get rid of this CARD! Try Chime Card.

Netspend is not the prepaid anyone should want whi cares about their money. Research prepaid card business before just accepting thier guidelines. Netspend has gotten very rich off ripping off cardholders by deducting senseless fees from your account and other complaints. A class action lawsuit soon will be issued against them for fraudulent activities. So before you use any prepaid please do your research.

This is the worst card ever. I am current in the process of filing a lawsuit contacting and filing complaints with FTC and BBB, consumer division, and Michigan attorney general. I just purchase the card loading money on there and they locked my money over false fraud protection. Cause me to be put out of my hotel room cause the card was locked. I sat in the hotel lobby for hours on the phone trying to get the problem straightened out. I had no money for food and had to wonder around for hours trying to find somewhere to go with luggage. They don't care about they customers once they get your money. I advise no one to used this card.

I have been with them since they started. They are the worst when it comes to depositing checks into your acct. I have one check from Dept of Treasury. They declined. I have a paycheck that they accepted direct deposit from my company but my 1st check they won't deposit. Why have an acct if they don't do what is needed.
