1/5 — Very disappointing experience. I do not recommend this shop.
I ordered a painting costing over €500 and it took more than two months to arrive. When it finally arrived, the frame was broken and the overall quality was far below what I expected for this price.
Customer service is rude and ineffective.
Poor quality, poor packaging, long delivery time and a disappointing after-sales service. I would not buy from this shop again.
I ordered an oversized print because it seemed like a reasonable price for a framed print. The frame arrived damaged and was flimsy and wouldn't support being hung. I had to pay to get the frame redone locally and neibac refused any kind of refund. This place is bordering on a complete scam. If not just terrible quality workmanship and worse customer service. Do not use them!
THE PROBLEM
On 21st August 2025, I purchased what was advertised as a painting with a gold frame from Neibac, an Italy-based company, but received a poor-quality print with no frame and was charged an unexpected £40 customs fee. Misleading Advertising: The website and product listings clearly refer to items as "paintings", with no indication that they are low-resolution prints. This is a clear case of false advertising. When challenged, the company claimed that in their context, "paintings" means "prints," which is deceptive, especially for English-speaking customers. Product Quality: The print received is of very low quality and unsuitable for its 60cm x 60cm size. It does not match what is shown online. Missing Item: The gold frame was not delivered with the order, despite being part of the purchase. Hidden Charges: I was charged £40 in customs fees unexpectedly. When the frame was later resent, they demanded I pay customs fees again, which I refused. Customer Service & Refund Refusal: I requested a refund within 24 hours of receiving the item. Over two months later, they have continued to refuse a refund and refuse to acknowledge that their website is misleading. Evidence of Misrepresentation: I provided Neibac a screenshot showing their website uses the word "paintings" to describe products. They admitted via WhatsApp that their use of the term "paintings" actually means "prints", contradicting standard English definitions. This confirms they are knowingly misleading customers. DESIRED OUTCOME
(1) Full refund of £145 (original product cost including frame) (2) Reimbursement of £40 customs charges paid upon delivery (3) Correction of misleading advertising on the Neibac website:
All product listings currently labelled as "paintings" should be accurately described as "prints". The site should explicitly state that the artworks are not hand-painted, but printed on canvas. (4) Clear warning for UK customers about potential customs/import charges, including an estimate of fees, before purchase.
