I'm taking SPN1120 and we use MySpanishLab and it is horrible. For my homework they would give me words that I have never studied. The voice actors sometimes say things too fast or say words I've never heard of. When you get something wrong the feedback is not helpful at all. This program is just horrible and should have been replaced a long time ago. Like others have mentioned before, it should not take us hours to complete our homework. I was planning on taking Spanish 2, but I've changed my mind since I'll have to use this program.

To think that a well known public university would use this course is an embarrassment to their institution. How dare they charge me $3000 plus almost a hundred dollars for a "book" that was nothing more than a sheaf of notebook paper pages less than a 1/2 inch thick containing a series of 4 chapter lessons. I have never in my life been subjected to such utter garbage under the guise of learning. They will be receiving links from me at the end of the course to a fantastic learning series in the hopes that they can see great vs pure unadulterated crap.

MySpanishLab is the most horrendous website i have ever attempted to use for class work. It's extremely vague in what it's asking of you, uses vocabulary that is not often/never used in Spanish speaking countries, never reviewed in class, never loads correctly, penalizes for anything that you could possibly think of (spaces, capital, accent, etc.), takes HOURS to complete numerous assignments assigned for one class period even though the assignments should really take about 10 minutes each, when you answer a question incorrectly it is supposed to give you a hint as to why & the hints are absolutely idiotic and have zero help whatsoever. Never recommend this site, it's awful, I hate it, and Spanish classes need to use something else if they want their students to pass their class let alone enjoy it and take another.

I paid almost $150 for access to a website that is horrendously outdated, slow to load, and frustrating to use. Homework assignments that should take 5 minutes tops take twice that because of loading time, penalizing for capitalization, etc. I don't have a choice of whether to use it because every Spanish class at my college requires it, but I would advise avoiding myspanishlab if at all possible. Duolingo is FREE, better quality, and far easier to use.

Oh my god this is the most stupid site ever to study Spanish. I don't know why my stupid college require the access to this site. I paid $210 dollar to buy a custom book make by this site, with full access code. There should be course Materials, Tools and eText, but I cannot use the online version of the textbook. When I contact with Pearson, they give me very ambiguous answer. I had to call them 3 times because the first 2 one barely speak that English that can make a native American can understand.

All the exercises made by Pearson is SO stupid. They aren't gonna help you get better - it's actually better to stay at home and learn the language yourself than to waste time on doing this site's assignments. It penalizes you for not capitalizing, for mistyping, it doesn't update frequently, and it requires my to turn off my pop-up blocker, which makes my computer vulnerable to pop-up ever since.
That is so much worse compare to FREE site like Duolingo, About.com, Babbel, etc. Those sites know what is important when a person needs to learn a new language.

If my next Spanish class requires access code to this site again, I'm dropping that class.
