I paid extra for the Omni membership to have the extra tools. I cannot use Legacy 10 because it isn't compatible with Chrome OS or my Chromebook. Not everyone uses Windows. This makes having this membership less useful to me. I also don't have the tree tracing paths to all of my DNA matches and don't know how to fix duplicates and tree discrepancies and I have a lot. I'm questioning why this costs so much if certain users don't have full access to the benefits?
I have used MyHeritage for a long time. I have more than 10,000 individuals in my family tree. I was able to find the most distant ancestors and relatives. With DNA I could connect to family members in Australia and the USA. Record matches pointed out a news paper article obout the funeral of a great grand uncle in Clinton, Iowa, with about 200 people attending and about 70 carriages. Another record match had an article in a New York magazine about a great grand father who had never left his home town of Hamburg, Germany. It has been a most intersting journey into the different branches of my family.

It is a very interesting web site and very enjoyable for all the family to follow family history, they provide a wonderful service, I spoke with a representative from My Heritage last week and she give me some very valuable and interesting information, her name I think was Anog.
I was extremely pleased that Shane had called me back when arranged. I thought that I had missed out on an amazing deal, but Shane honoured this deal and also upgraded me to the Omni plan. Very affordable for me a this current time thankfully.

Have been a user of My Heritage for 6-7 years. Received call from my Account Manager about new heritage companies they have bought. One was Family Tree Legacy which links into current tree etc. however, software is not apple compliant. To use it one has to do very convoluted process - beyond my expertise and patience. Tried getting a refund but so many hurdles!
My Heritage is different to other Genealogy sites in the way it does the searching for you. It shows you potential links from thousands of existing Family Trees around the world. I would recommend this site, maybe even more so if my recent DNA test throws up the relative I've been searching for for years!
The representative of MyHeritage is wel informed and polite in his approach. After a helpful and constructive discussion I decided to continue my subscription because the program is still evolving, the representative (sorry for forgetting his name)made me a nice offer and of course I enjoy already 10 years of discovering and adding family and their events and backgrounds to our history. Great product, I have been able to track four differant family trees.
The only thing in all the search modes it needs to be set as you look at lists that when you are through looking at a individual it goes back to person on list so you can continue from there. It goes clear back to the beginning of the list and you have search until you found were you left off before you can continue. This process at this point takes a lot of time and it gets frustrating.

I've been researching some of my Grandfathers brothers & sisters lately from my mother's side. Had some luck finding some new relatives that I didn't know I had. The record search have been a great help so far. Not finished yet but will keep trying.

Allerdings muss man sich auch erst mal ein wenig damit beschäftigen, wie man innerhalb der Seite vorgeht. Man muss aufpassen dass man nicht Matches bestätigt, die nicht passen, und man damit auf die verkehrte Fährte kommt, Heritage macht einem dann ja Vorschläge, was neues gefunden wurde, wenns dann verkehrt ist, setzt das andere darauf auf, und die Fehler setzen sich fort.

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).

They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
