LOVE how MyHeritage lets you see direct line back to home person makes finding common ancestors a lot easier an quicker, still a very expensive hobby though.
Sometimes it seems people get duplicated. Maybe you AI bot can help with that
I have been trying to find my father's side and found cousins instead.
Has been great until i got the notice for renewal, it is just too much for a pensioner to pay. I up graded from basic to premier 2 years ago and thought that was it. Imagine my surprize when I got a notice that my account will end unless I pay over $300, even with a discount, I just couldn't afford to renew.
I have been able to sort out and verify many relatives. I still have figure out how to make correction.
My heritage has the records and their Omni Plan is a great idea to further enhance your education with webinars through My Legacy and the plan includes everything hing without additional payments needed for add ons. They definitely have your interests in mind not just revenue making.
I've been using My Heritage for about 13 years and have thoroughly enjoyed using the app, but more importantly the discoveries, record matches, super searches and the research features have allowed me to build an extensive tree and expand as more information becomes available. I would recommend My Heritage to anyone building their family tree.
It started out with only two of my grandparents. Now I've accumulated over 3000 people and the story continues. It has been a tremendous journey and now a table conversation of our family tree. Looking forward to uncovering more of my family line. Well done to My Heritage for a broad and comprehensive range of records dating back almost 700 years
I had a few outstanding email leads to process and suddenly the links no longer worked, instead I was taken to the website Home page.
After registering query, I was informed that an internal Security change had been applied and hence these o/s leads links would not work and I (and presumably all users) were not advised that this change may have an impact on existing unprocessed email links.
I do have to add that new emails are unaffected.
I found My Heritage very easy to use. I like being able to use the product in ways that suited me, as there are a number of options available in building the tree. Being able to turn the end tree into a poster or ebook is excellent. Backing up the tree is easy. The search engine very easy to use. The available information is very wide. All in all I found the product excellent. Occasionally I encountered a few glitches and the service was repaired very quickly. My only disappointment was the cost and losing access to the tree when not renewing the package. I think allowing access to your own tree for a small fee a year would be a good option. If any further research was then wanted an additional fee to access certain areas of research for a period of at least 3 months would be greatly appreciated.
I do not appreciate receiving reminders for Birthdays or celebrations for the members of my families that have passed away. On several occasions.
Comparing my info to other My Heritage members info about ancestors brings to life my family. Finding out more complete dates and places gives me a feeling what a person's life may have been like.
It has been a very successful experience as I have found that my family tree has become greatly enlarged by tracing members back for several hundred years. This was a process that was enabled by the MyHeritage app which is easy to follow and work with.
Your layout is easy to work with it can be easy seen and understood as well colorful.
For my wife and I, tracing our family ancestry has been a very fun & enriching experience! I've traced mine on my father's side as far back as the early 1300's in England. I've been amazed at some of the things I've learned from My Heritage. I'll be sharing this knowledge with my children and grandchildren.
The results were not what I was lead to understand by the MyHeritage website, I expected to receive a more specific result on where my forefathers' from and the admixture of the families,
The same applies for my wife's DNA tested (Verena Marx 19/13/54) I did not expect to pay for each piece of information that was requested or searched fore.
Je ne pensais pas aller si loin dans mon arbre... merci

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).
Answer: If you are looking to get as many connections to your tree that you can, use My Heritage. If you want flexibility in who is added to your tree, use Ancestry.
Answer: Dear Jonathan, Yes I have the same problem, I wrote to My Heritage and they have still not responded to my request for assistance. They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
