MyHeritage charged me an annual subscription fee of SGD 539.13, which I have problems cancelling the charge on my credit card with the company.
The company had made it essential to input my credit card details to start the DNA process and had offered me a free trial. They subsequently charged me SGD 500 after I had forgotten about the trial. I find It was pretty duplicitous after the customer service had ignored my request to refund me back my money.
SGD 500 is a considerable sum to me, and I urge you to think twice before purchasing the kit from this company.
I've been a premium member of myheritage.com for the past four years and I've got only good things to report. Time and time again I've been heeded and assisted by caring staff such as Mr Eden and Sebastiaan who were always supportive and caring. A big well done to you all!

I sent a kit on 07/19/2022 (6 weeks ago) and have not had any reply. No way to contact myheritage through their website. Service to be avoided.
I saw that the technical service here "tries" to help and I wrote an email to "paul. Vipsupport", one week ago and still no reply.
I tried to cancel my orders, I contacted them the minute I purchased it but it seems like an impossible thing to do. I have to deal with chatbots, auto reply and get so frustrated. It seems like they want to take your money on purpose and have no intention to support you at all. Very scammy.
My account was linked to unavailable email address and needed to change password. I was quickly dealing with competent assistance. She Solved my issues pleasantly.
I can not believe the way the company does business! I did upgrade to the $299 because I got no where prior! Money Money Money! Constantly in your face wanting it! Then they charged me twice for it! Got refunded for one but still received a notification that my subscription had been suspended! So I am back to square one! Even though they took my $299 and kept it. The way they do that is criminal itself!
I canceled the subscription and still got charged. The process of password reset was a headache on its own. Based on my experience, I do not recommend this site at all!
The MyHeritage Tech Support Team found a solution for a new and confounding technical problem that I recently had while using their Family Tree Builder software. MyHeritage has been my genealogical site since 2015 for creating, updating, and managing my family tree, and it has always been reliable. My recent issue involved suddenly not being to use several functions in the software. After I contacted the tech support team, they quickly responded and opened an investigation case for me. Through email interactions, we discussed what wasn't working. They provided clear and detailed instructions of actions for me to perform to solve the problem and asked me to reply to them with the results of those actions. I am an older person who is not fully computer-savvy, but with their patient help while I provided them detailed descriptions of what I did to follow their instructions and what resulted, we solved the problem. After the problem was solved, they even provided me information about what was most likely the cause, which satisfied my curiosity about why it happened. It was very easy to work with them and satisfying to know that they really care about helping their customers. You can certainly rely on MyHeritage for great technical support if you ever need it!
I am absolutely disgusted and furious with myheritage. They made a mistake in my DNA results and made my question whether my father was actually my father. I had to get results from a different DNA service to verify that a mistake was made. I would STRONGLY recommend against ever using this service.

I cant tell whether this is a good or bad company due to the mixed reviews... it seems to be hit or miss. Sadly, I dont know what to make of that.
My Myheritage account has been charged for an upgraded account, however no upgrade has been provided. Myheritage (#*******) have verified that:
- I have been charged R1,699.99 (Proof of payment - bank statement sent)
- I have not been provided with any upgrade - they have checked my account on their side.
If this is an issue between My Heritage and Apple, the consumer should not be the victim.
Myheritage have been helpful until the point of a refund, at which point they tell me to go back to Apple. Apple provide the APP, Myheritage provide the service and the 'upgrade' which i have not received. Apple will not refund.

I woke up this morning to a paypal charge of 135.00 to my bank. Their website is not clear about this charge. I thought I was doing a free subscription. I will never use this website again. When I called their website customer support, I initially got a run around answer. They said they had to put the request in and that someone would have to contact me at a later time. And they didn't know when that would be. Then when I asked for a supervisor they magically were able to authorize a refund. What a bunch of crap.
J'ai eu à faire avec cette entreprise pour mon propre ADN.et comme celà était indiqué, il a fallu une quarantaine de jours pour les résultats. J'ai été étonnée de mes résultats mais j'y crois car mon fils avait fait la demande avant et 49.9 % de ses résultats correspondent aux miennes.
Quand je suis allée sur le site, j'ai fait une mauvaise manoeuvre et un paiement a été effectué. J'ai donc demandé d'annuler ce paiement et du jour au lendemain j'ai été remboursée.
Société très réactive et très sérieuse.

Im grossen und ganzen, finde ich den Dienst nicht schlecht. Der Support ist 10/10. So einen schnellen und überaus zuvorkommenden Support aus den USA habe ich noch nie erlebt. Echt top!
Was ich einfach ein bisschen schade finde, dass mein Vater auch nochmals das gesamte Abo lösen müsste. In der Direkten Familie reicht ein Abo nicht. Da merkt man schon, dass es teuer ist. Vorallem nutze ich es nicht so oft. Ich gehe in Archive, lese viel und gleiche zuletzt die gesammelte Informationen mit MyHeritage. Die Smart und Recordmatches sind ein bisschen verbugt. Ich habe jetzt mehrjährige matches die "leer" sind. Es zeigt dir an, Person xy hat 30 Matches. Du öffnest es und dann sind doch keine da. Es müssen mittlerweile hunderte sein. Da macht matches bestätigen kein Spass.
Im grossen und ganzen gebe ich 7/10.

I got a DNA kit from my son for Christmas a few years ago. I cancelled the email account associated with the My Heritage account bc of spam, a couple years later.
About three weeks ago I heard from a man thru My Heritage matches searching for his bio family.
In order to open and transfer my MH account to my new email, I needed help. I had three different ppl at MH assisting me. Every time I got a correspondence from one of them I secretly thought this will be when they tell me they can't transfer my account.
All three ppl went above and beyond to assist me and I was finally notified they had located and successfully transferred my account. Because of their valiant efforts, my cousin has submitted a DNA kit as a first step to locating this gentleman's possible bio family.
I so very much appreciate all that was done to help me locate and transfer my account.
Unfortunately I can't leave less than 1 star. I signed up for two week free trial and before my two weeks was up, before I had a chance to opt out, they took away my choice and billed me for a year. 139.00
I see other similar reviews here. I wish I had seen them first. Pay pal says I have to let them keep the money.Its definitely money wasted because I canceled my account with these awful, deceptive people. I certainly wasn't told I would be billed for a year, and wasn't told it was 139.00.
Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).

They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
