I was so surprised and disappointed. I was set up with automatic payments and when it was time to renew subscription $340.20 was deducted in a snap. I had no ide the price was so much higher than initially. Needless to say - well before time of renewal this time I cancelled it all and I won't go there again
MyHeritage tech-support was great. Claudia addressed all my issue, and turn around time was great.
I couldn't get the photo transfer facility to work for me. I have a lot of photos of individuals and of records attached to my family tree gedcom which was originally created in Ancestry. This meant that I couldn't move my family tree file seamlessly from Ancestry to MyHeritage. I could see value in MyHeritage but this, for me, was a problem. When I raised it with MyHeritage they quickly acknowledged that I was encountering a limitation on the software's handling of gedcoms and refunded my subscription without the slightest quibble.
I hope that, in due course, they will sort this out and based on my experience to date I would have confidence to explore trying MyHeritage again. They are clearly an ethical company.
Dreadful website. Tyring to track overdue DNA kit sent weeks ago. No way of tracking on the website having logged in to my account (although their info says to click on a tab under DNA: "manage my DNA kit" but this tab does not exis). Tried phoning several times...tried "hgelp" centre. This company is ONLY interested in trying to sell add ons...expensive add ons...to pay more money on top of waht I am beginning to suspect is a SCAM! Am advising friends and family to were considering dong the same DNA test NOT to bother with this company.

The representative Majoa perfectly assisted me and came up with a solution for my issue. She also provided me with accommodation for the inconvenience, which was not the fault of the company, but instead of the postal service.
This is a total scam. What they advertise on their website, about documents you can get information from, find more about your ancestors is just untrue. After subscribing to the complete package, I could not find any more information about my family than what I had already found from someone else tree they made themselves. So this trash of website was completely useless.
I got in touch with them, to which a lady phone called me a few days later. Even though they supposedly offer a 30 day money back guarantee, she was saying that it was not possible to do so, even thought just 8 days since my purchase had passed. And she was pretending to speak with a billing department, trying to find me a deal, which was just another lie, as one of the times, i got on hold for just 5 seconds while she went speak with the billing department. Everything smells as a scam here.
So, do not fall for the lies that are advertised about their services, and don't fall for the scam this company is. And forget the money back guarantee they say. At this moment, no other option left for me rather than involve law enforcement entities to solve my situation.

Have tried on numerous occasions to contact this company and no one replies back.
Be very careful with this company as I got charged for something I did not order or authorise and they have failed to respond to me. I called and got no answer and have emailed a complaint and was given a case number but nothing has happened since then. This was middle of February and still no reply.
I was charged over £50 for something I did not order and it wasn't even in my name as I've never been on this site.
Coning, Robbing and untrustworthy.

I have had a tree here (3 people) for several years. I decided to try to actually use it. Found site very challenging to use - not really user friendly. I tried to add a second part of family and could enter my name - but the rest I was not able to see what they wanted... boxes were invisible, and type is very light grey on white... impossible for me, as a visually challenged person to read. The tree I do have is also too large to fit on my screen, but no one has been able to make it any smaller, and type is already very small. I called thinking being a subscriber might give me more insight into using their product (I use another company's product & DNA, with none of these problems)... no person, instead I was told I was 6th in line and instructed to leave message after tone - no tone, repeat of instructions - no tone, then music. This was in sales - If they make it this hard to get to a sales rep - what happens when you need customer service? I know from other people that they have a lot of good, sometimes hard to come by, information, possibly more from the British Isles than any other company - that's why I am / was interested in using their services.
Pay attention to the automatic subscription that comes at the end of the 1-month free trial and know that the free trial starts when you ORDER your kit, not when you receive results. You will not receive a notice that the free trial is expiring and you will be charged automatically. If you do not intend to keep a subscription, I recommend cancelling the auto renewal immediately by setting up an account and using the MyHeritage Chat for instructions to "Cancel My Subscription."

Although my experience with MyHeritage was initially disappointing due to the delayed refund and delivery, I eventually received a full refund for both the DNA kit and subscription fees with the assistance of Sophia. While I appreciate her help and am grateful for the eventual resolution, I still have reservations about recommending MyHeritage to others based on my personal experience. While it's possible that my negative experience was an isolated incident, as a resident of Germany, I would urge others to approach this service with caution. For now, I plan to explore other websites for genealogical research in the future.
Please do not use this website or APP. I signed up for a free trial to try and find some record and couldn't find anything. I canceled my subscription, I even checked my Apple subscriptions to make sure it was not active and it was not. I was still charged $198. I have contacted support twice. I have gotten the same email twice with what I need to do for a refund. I sent everything they said they needed TWICE and then they stop responding. This is a SCAM. Don't even bother with the free trial or these scum bags will just take your money.
I needed help in attaching DNA kit results to the correct person in my tree. I called in early and found I was 28th in line. MyHeritage took my number and called me back within about an hour so I did not have to wait on the phone. They helped me through the process step by step and within 10 minutes or so the results were attached! Yay! Their staff person was patient and kind as she clearly walked me through the process. They appear to be on east coast time so call in early to avoid a wait.
Really disappointed to have $260 taken from my account for a subscription I don't require - I purchased a kit as a gift for someone else so have no use for a subscription. Have called to cancel with promises of a call back which has not happened. Do not recommend as I can see this is a very common issue

Bought dna kit and it came with free trial and once the free trial ended I got charged 149$ didn't even get a reminder didn't even know I had a free trial called em they wouldn't give me a refund, 0 stars for them

My kit was sent by confirmed mail. I got the information that they received it on the 8th of February. Yet it only appeared received on 22nd Feb in their website.
Meanwhile I was worried that my DNA kit was lost I email the customer support on the 22nd of february. But no one replied until today 14th March. Almost a month later to tell me the package was received.
They say procedure takes 3 to 4 weeks. Yet last week a month passed and results are not out yet.
Nothing Tra so aren't about this service. I wonder if the DNA info will come out real or also they would lie about it the way they lied about not receiving the Package.

I was happy with my DNA results, but after few months.I saw my bank account and I saw that MYHRRITAGE.COM charged me $136.74 dollars. I called them and tried to talk to them about it and they said they will give you a call tomorrow and I never got a call, and I even asked to talk to someone else that knows how to fix my problem and they couldn't transfer the call and they hang up the phone. So I would not recommend this company because the are soooo unprofessional, and can not run the company will.ALSO I DID NOT GET MY MONEY BACK!

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team ([email protected]).

They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. He told me to send an email to [email protected] and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
