Minds is getting better and better. I'm able to grow my audience in ways I couldn't with the mainstream networks.

The supposed "free speech " social network is heavily censored. They will mark all your posts NSFW then delete your page with no warning, if they dont like your politics. An influx of morons from fascistbook and twattter has left Minds reeling with a newfound ignorance. The owners sadly changed the format expressly to suit phones, then 6 months later google play and the apple store made them castrate the app, idiots all. Some good people there but the owner is a moron.

I was looking for alternative social media sites and came across rumble, parler, $#*!ute, and minds. I made accounts on all 4. I have Instagram and Facebook still and was concerned about the censorship. I read tarot cards and lean on the conservative side of the fence. My posts will be usually on tarot and meditation topics and sometimes about politics. I made I think at the most 2 posts on minds basically exactly what I post on the other platforms including fb and ig. I usually post my video pick a card readings or my stance on politics or what's going on currently in the news. Im not trying to sell anything and I possibly posted a link to my linktree which is just a link to my videos. I am not currently taking on clients. I get an email out of nowhere that I was instantly banned for spam... I haven't even been on the platform for more than a few weeks lol... I guess the censorship is here but worse than fb and ig. Its really funny because it's supposed to be the fb replacement or competition... really sad actually. I thought the platform was boring anyway no loss for me. Just want people to know they aren't free speech like they claim... they will take your account down for absolutely no reason. Lame..

MINDS, does NOT follow their own community guidelines. IF you post anything that they do not like they will claim it to be SPAM, and just BAN. No 1st strike. No 2nd strike. Just plain BAN. And when you request the reason for the BAN, they do not respond, because what they have done is completely unlawful, unconscionable, and willfully negligent. In other words, the BAN is completely unjustifiable. That is why they do not respond.

It was a free awesome social network while they were small and known to a limited number of ppl.
It attracted artists, free thinkers and generally ppl with original ideas and mindsets. Now attracts angry children hooked on politics or porn.
Today it is just another money-making social platform that will give you some hard times if you don't pay them a fee.
After being a member for about 4 years, they shadowbanned my non-profitable, personal channel for no apparent reason. I tried to talk to support, but they ignored me and refuse to talk about the issue. I even talked to owner Bill Ottman himself and the same story - he avoids to talk about shadowbanning and manipulating data.
Today it's the money-driven social network and if you're not planning to pay monthly fee ($40), don't waste your time.

I initially enjoyed Minds.com because it finally gave me the means to have exposure; i could finally share my art and get actual views without being throttled and censored.

However, this enjoyment was short-lived as the corrupt and greedy Bill Ottman decided to take all the good aspects and lock them behind a paywall- Minds Pro!

Previously, we could boost infinitely, but for standard accounts, you're only allowed to use a measly FIVE tokens per 24 hours! Now not only have we been dramatically limited by this, but they have also seriously throttled views for non-pro accounts, so your '5000 views' take more than a day to complete.

They obviously intend for influencers (pewdiepie, crowder, etc) to buy Pro accounts, as the hefty FORTY DOLLAR PER MONTH price for pro membership is WAY too much for the average joe to afford. It's a travesty and I regret ignoring everyone's warnings about Ottman. Im also disappointed in Tim Pool for not warning us about this; He's another corrupt greedy charlatan pretending to be juste.

You're better off just moving on and finding a new way to earn a living, unless you're willing to fork 480 dollars a year on a deviantart clone.

Do not post any personal pictures especially of your family and kids. Other users will photoshop your faces onto hardcore porn and the site owners think that is considered free speech and will NOT remove it unless you get lawyers and law enforcement involved. Don't give your identity away at all because they will find your images other places online, they got ours from our business website. The site allows cartoon child porn saying it is 100% legal, be careful who you subscribe to because they will post the child porn mixed in with okay content and you'll get tricked into seeing it. I believe that the whole site is a crypto scam and that the owners are gaming their own token reward system. I don't have enough evidence to prove it for sure yet, but I do have some proof and I'm working on getting more. If you want to support free speech, this website is a waste of your time, I have never been more censored in my life. I made a meme of the owner as a snake oil salesman and they removed it, you will get banned for criticisms of the owners. If you are a Nazi white supremacist that enjoys gangstalking, then you will love Minds and will fit in perfectly with the top recommended channels.

Im changing my review due to new activity by the site. I deactivated my account since, as I said previously, users arent allowed to leave- no reason given. All the admins will tell you (if they reply at all) is to delete [all of] your content which is, frankly, an arduous and absurd task, especially since they could easily and SHOULD simply delete if the user requests. Why keep their account and data? So much for being unlike Facebook. At least Facebook will delete upon request. The minds staff will flat-out ignore you. Anyway, the update is that Ive STILL been getting emails when Im not supposed to. Ive now set my rating to 1 Star. I already forfeited the ability to delete and remove my data, so the LEAST they could do is leave me alone now. Minds is a disgusting website with even more disgusting and manipulative owners. I recommend everyone stay away and let this site continue its fade into obscurity (or report it, if you so wish).
Update: My review above is from May of 2018. I just received another email, and it's June of 2020. Leave me alone! This is ridiculous. You eventually told me you would remove my account information, but you still email me years later. I try to unsubscribe, but clicking this in the email takes me to the site's login page. I'm reporting Minds. This is unacceptable. Not even Facebook was this bad.
Update: it's September of 2020. I got another random email "for me."

Signed up there after hearing "Minds is a social media on the blockchain" [like everyone else.] However, Minds seems like out of the minds with the post mostly against Facebook, spreading Fake news, NSFWs, and fake liberalism.

In my rough guess, more 50% accounts here are fake and sock-puppets.

The user interaction is very low if the number of subscribers is to be considered for an account.

However, the Minds have potential to be great social media and one of the kind on Blockchain, but it looks very-very far away!
