I strongly warn parents against buying the Miko 3. I purchased this for my daughter hoping for an educational tool, but it has done the opposite. The "engagement" features are designed to create dependency, and I observed a noticeable spike in anxiety and addictive behavior in my child after using it.
When I contacted Miko to return it—citing these genuine mental health concerns—they flatly refused the return. They do not stand behind their product and prioritize profit over child well-being. There are better, safer alternatives. Do not let this robot into your home.
This was a birthday present for my 9-year-old son, and he absolutely adores it. He enjoys the fact that it can be used to play games and that it follows him everywhere. He moves it about without issue on the hardwood and carpet. He's had a lot of fun learning new thing.
Miko is a great idea because it helps children learn a lot of useful and interesting things. I see this toy as is an investment in my child's future. I think it would be better if it had multiple languages, but maybe we will see that in a future update.
