I am a new customer. Received catalog saying I was pre-approved. Placed order by mail and get notice via email that letter coming in mail saying they need a down payment. What? Already waiting a week. Disappointed in this company and how they handle new customers.
Their catalogs have a code that allow anyone to open a Midnight Velvet line of credit with this code. Someone stole a catalog from my mother in law, opened a line of credit, and bought $780 worth of stuff. Luckily my mother in law was home when the box was delivered, otherwise it would have been taken off the porch. Then customer service tried to make is seem like it was our fault. Also, the inquiry showed up on our credit report. Truly a shady copy that preys on the elderly. STAY AWAY!
I placed an order using a credit card, and MidnighttVelvet opened a MidnightVelvet credit account in my name that i did not request! When i contacted them about closing this unauthorized account they deflected and didn't want to comply. I still don't know how they could have opened an account without accessing my credit profile, but this is currently being investigated.
I brought a beautiful umbrella that said There is power in the Name of Jesus with a young lady on her kneels with break-in chains. I didn't use it right away but when I finally got to use it. It was really hot and I didn't want to get sunburn. Anyway, the wind started blowing a little and break the umbrella I was so upset. That's strike 2.
I honestly only ordered a few times from them but I didn't need to order more then that because they clothes that I got were much better quality then expected so I don't have to keep buying because this item or that item fell apart after washing or just got too old, plus, the return policy, if needed is very easy to work with. (I had on top I didn't like after all when I received it.) Customer Service is very friendly and easy to talk to and very eager to please the customer.
I love shopping with midnight Velvet they have beautiful clothes and products and if something does not work for you they are great about helping you with your returnes. Will shop with them again and again for they treat you right. Thanks midnight velvet, I have to give you five stars.

I bought an off the shoulder wrap sweater and a blouse top with leather shoulders. I get compliments on them all the time. I love the sweater although I do question if they forgot to mention there's wool in it, it's slightly itchy so I'm wondering if there's a small amount in there. L wear it over a long sleeve shirt, so it still works and I love the way it looks. The blouse is comfy and cute, great fall/spring top.
Even the reviews on the site about the clothes are bad. My neighbors and I got catalogs in the mail that offered 1000 dollar credit that we have to pay a hundred dollars to get! My neighbor ordered two dresses. Both came a month later than expected and were horrible quality. Do not want!
