Mercari claims and keeps$ from merchandise damaged in shippment

My item I shipped via fedex through mercari was damaged. Mercari made claim to fedex and kept, the $35 never paying me for the loss of my merchandise. Their excuse was I didnt use bubble wrap. Yet they submitted claim got paid and kept it
