This is a horrible site. I would recommend any other site over this one. Plus the customer service is terrible. They need to learn how to respect there customers!
This dating site mate1.com is not a site I would recommend to all my single friends, most profiles are fake and lots of scammers, I wish I had read it's past bad reviews before joining... I was a victim.
Mate 1 is a total Scammer site... Absolutely no real People on the site... Most women are In teleconference based in Ghana, Human trafficking ring? Also full of Nigeria Scammers and Con Artist... it's really Sickening... Request for money,,, ITunes cards... lol... Scammers actually tell you at end they work for Mate1 to Scam you... Please Authories Investigation is merited. Stay Away from this site it's Criminal and Dangerous!
Mate. 1 is the lowest of the low. The website is LOADED with fake profiles or women from other countries, or prostitutes, the list goes on and on. I'm too old for this. The website Mate. 1 should be shutdown for false advertising and misleading info. Will NEVER use this site ever again.
Why is it taking so long to verify my profile picture, i waited more than hours to verify my pictures but it was in vain. I really need to know why it take so long
Good but not good enough IMHO. Prefer wejustfit.com. Take it from a guy who has tried at least ten sites this year alone!
What else can you call a site that charges the males, a monthly fee, and allows females to use the site for free?... What you get are females who have all the time in the world, to show fake interest to keep the males from cancelling their subscription. Avoid this piece of crap site, with phony profiles and made up interest to get your money.
The people on this site are not who they say they are or even live where they say they do most of them end up from Ghana it is one of the biggest scam pleases in the world

I've been on mate1 for a while 3 months. 4 months all the women claim their from Africa or have a past relative that has passed away and they had to go to Africa to claim their inheritance... I've never sent money to anyone of them but they try to get money claiming it's the beginning love process if I owned the site I would have a truth entering policy.

This is a site for. Scammers. If a man is in the Army he is a scammer and he has an agenda for getting money out of innocent women. You need to stop these people from getting on the site. I have been on mate1 for just over a month and haven't met any girls yet but Iwas able to chat with several nice people. Beware of scammers though. It seems like you will find plenty of them. Like I said, you can e-meet some nice people but in my opinion other well known dating sites like Mingle2day (if you upgrade your membership to gold it is top notch) or even Badoo (if you use your common sense and invest a lot of time and patience) may be a better option or at least a good alternative. Anyway, it never hurts to use more than one dating site to figure out which one you like the best.
After one week on the site I have pulled my profile due to the number of false or misleading profiles I was contacted by many of the user's but to my dismay EVERY LAST ONE TURNED OUT TO BE FROM AFRICA OR SOME OTHER
COUNTRY and all asked for money to be sent after some small talk professing their love after 15 to 20 minutes of conversation I don't know maybe I'm just skeptical but I don't see how anybody could move to that after a few text messages so please everyone be aware that in my opinion I do not believe this is a website that is on the up-and-up
Gave this a shot expecting fireworks. I know a few people who have found love on mate1 but it has not happened for me im afraid. I've switched over to wejustfit.com now and that is looking more promising already. I guess it all comes down to the membership levels in the area your in and this just so happens to be better for me. Hope that helps, thanks for reading.
I met a military soldier claiming to be in his 40s when he look like he was in his 20s claiming he lost his phone on the crossfire wanted me to send money to keep in touch wanted me to send him money to come home really? No soldier needs money Army takes care of them such a scam I blocked him bye Kevin Somerville. LOSER
I had someone 'from' Alaska who had very poor English 'convince me' that she was interested in me (age 67; her age 30) She even called me on the phone (at 2:00 AM in the morning!) Then after weeks of short emails; etc. she wanted money to fly from AK to WA. That is when I figured out it was a 'total scam'. Beware; no 30 yr. Old really wants to meet someone 67 yrs. Of age. (she also showed a 'passport') yet her NAME did NOT come up in a seach of he home town!
