Paid for 3mo up front after getting a boat load of messages. Can't read messages till you pay. Out of 100+, two were actually written. The others were "ice breakers" when I clicked on the profile 75% were already removed. In one instance within 5 min of getting the email alert. Two days after I paid my account was hacked, and the hacker sent out 100s of messages. Was able to get in and shut down profile. Lost my money no way to contact these guys without having an account. Eff em. Additionally the day after I shut down the account someone tried to access the email I used for the site. So no no no no no no no

You sign up, and you're immediately getting messages or sent "ice breakers" another way of messaging and I mean IMMEDIATELY. Within 24 hours of signing up I had over a dozen emails and ice breakers to sort through! The problem? When you reply back to these interested women, you NEVER get a reply back. They hit you up one time (probably from the people running the site) and never reply to you again. So they draw you in thinking there's a lot of women that want to get to know you (emailing you that this women just sent you an email, don't keep them waiting)... but when you email them back, you never get another response again. You'll get at least 3-4 emails a day of women contacting you but again, when you reply back... nothing ever becomes of it. Complete waste of time. Stay away from this dating site at all costs.

Last summer and fall, I used a different site for three months. About half of the women answered when I wrote to them. I had about ten dates.

There's a huge difference on Mate1! About half of the women have had their profiles removed when I click on the email link from my regular email. Those were probably already discovered to be fakes. Of the remainder, all but three never answered -- and I put a fair amount of effort into contacting potential dates. I never posted or sent anything that would be a turn-off, such as a solicitation of sex or naked photos. I am almost totally being ignored but maybe it's by non-existent women -- fake profiles, in other words.

I can tell some of the women are not who they say they are. As a professional writer, I can pick out non-native use of English fairly easily. They say they're from Las Vegas or Miami but their usage is distinctly Eastern European. In that same group, several women were much younger than my preferred age range. It seems to happen often. They commonly hide phone numbers in their profiles, asking for texts. I fell for that once but ONLY ONCE!

Is that enough? I feel as if I'm throwing away $60.00 for three months of nothing.

I signed up for a 6 month subscription and immediately I start getting likes from females but they all ask the same prearranged questions and if you ask them for a pic they never reply. Considering that they were the ones to initiate the likes first it's very strange. Whomever created this site is brainless. How hard is it to get real girls on a site. Why steal $5 when you can make easily $100. Enjoy my money jackass because that's all you'll ever get from me. It's not hard to recognize immediately that it's all computer generated profiles. Worse dating site ever. They should be banned from the internet.

Before I paid to subscribe I was already receiving notifications that I had a match. All I had entered was my last name. After I subscribed I realized I was getting views from men outside my state. The men viewing and liking were out of the age range I preferred. I responded to two icebreaker questions and received no response from either person. I don't think this is a good website to even just find someone to conversate with, much less, find someone to date.

Women get to join for free... that just starts off as BS. Then, none of them delete their profiles after they leave or are no longer interested in dating... so most of your search, turns in useless profiles. Why they don't delete or "snooze" profiles that haven't been touched in 2 weeks or so, is to keep men thinking they have more available women than they do.

In the midst of my one month membership, my login doesn't work and I can't log in. And of course... it happens on a weekend. To top that off, when you go to their customer service page, there's a picture of a woman with a headset on and yet no numbers are given anywhere to call in for problems. ALL issues have to be done via email and guess what... no monitoring during weekends!

There really should be some way to get a refund from these scam artists. You have to wonder how they manage to sucker people into using this site. Not that I'm an Adonis, but this must be the collection site for the hideous. Yeesh. And then you get the people that post obvious fake pictures of much younger and attractive people... asking you to text them. The mistake they make is creating separate profiles using the same fake photos. What a waste of time and money.

I came to the conclusion that this site is a total scam and ripe off. I feel that I'm a decent and honest guy and I had my profile reviewed by my friends and felt that I should received many query's. I'm the type of person that reaches out to people and doing a search for local ladies I sent out messages of introduction and as a matter of fact of over 50 and not one response received back I can't believe that 50 people don't have the manners or common decency to reply by saying thank you but not interested which is something I would do. Therefore I feel that all the profiles are false and made up my Mate 1. I even wrote to them complaining of this and never received a response. I even wrote to ladies way outside my local area and again the same. I also belong to POF whereas I do receive responses to my messages. To all of you people that are thinking of joining this site save your money and time strictly a rip off. If you call them your always on hold for over 30 minutes before they finally pick up and the person that does answer must be the custodian can never get a straight answer... you all were warned stay away they do not deliver.
