First use: Entered Start and finish. Hit preview and... ok, what do I do now? It just showed the path on the map. I couldn't click on anything else. Preview button still said Preview but was greyed out. Couldn't find the detailed directions anywhere or any other button or tab to show the directions. Second try: closed out browser and tried it again. This time the "Preview Button" changed into another button to show the details. Why didn't that show up before? I could now see my start and finish. I then wanted to zoom out to see how far I was to another state. It only would zoom out so far and I wasn't able to slide the map over to see things around it. In the stop by stop direction it shows the total time and distance at the end, not at the beginning. Kind of useless since the first thing people want to know is how far, and how long. Having to scroll down to the next stop to see that info is annoying. Frustrating to use because it doesn't seem to always work properly and it intentionally limits how far off your course you can view. The old Mapquest was better. I'll stick with it's competitors.
If you miss mapquest classic, go to yahoo maps. It works like the mapquest classic site, I hate the new mapquest.
I used to use this app daily. Now it's not just "not user friendly." It's straight up unusable. Its now makin me log in. Signed up. Nothing happens. The site says you can use it without logging in but it's not true. Why would you change something nobody is complaining about? Absolute garbage. Switching to google maps. PS: Thanks so much for getting me and my autistic son who had a meltdown lost in New Orleans. Went to use it when I was lost and that's when I discovered it no longer works.
Tried to find a store location. I was sent on a wild goose chase from Sun City to Peoria looking for a blind store to shop. Finally found the location, not with your help. Only to find out the location was closed 6 months ago. And why are you teaming up with that other big POS called Yelp? Those guys are so inaccurate in ridiculous. I can't tell you how many times positive reviews on that garbage was obviously made by store owners, friends and family.
So many things wrong with this. Why can't I print individual maps for individual steps. Helpful in older areas with older roads that change names, etc. I hope that Mapquest wakes up and goes back to what worked great
I'm not a 'total' Luddite, but this new system is difficult, inappropriately difficult, inaccurate and a total waste. Of time and internet space, (no $$$, though, for MapQuest). Now I am looking for another website that might provide something similar to the old, 'classic' MapQuest. The one time MapQuest left me in an 'inappropriate' neighborhood is FAR under-shadowed by the difficulty this sight provides.
I used to use this all the time. It's horrible now--can't even see directions on the map. Whoever designed this should be sent to Cyber-Siberia. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Well, now it's really broke.
Fire the incompetents that tried to fix something that was not broken.
Go back to original Mapquest that people like and were able to use.

The Classic Mapquest met all my needs, was quick, accurate, clear. The new one is difficult to manuver the routes, directions too lengthy and inaccurate, map is cluttered and many roads misspelled and/or inaccurate. Can't easily drag desired custom route with out going thru hoops and then it screws up the written directions. Maybe we all need to go to the media and bring attention to this messed up site and boycott altogether which I think already is being done.
I used to be able to click and drag my routing. Now when you click and drag it leaves another address. WHY? So stupid that's why. I complained to MapQuest a year ago and they don't make any corrections. USELESS SITE!
I drive for a living and I loved the old mapquest. The new mapquest is a joke. I won't use this site any longer.
What happened to Mapquest. I can't even get on it anymore. It used to be so good. Now I will be trying another site.
Why mess up something that isn't broken. You would have thought with everyone still choosing to use the old version while they transitioned would have told them something. Nothing works anymore it couldn't be worse. Does anyone know of any other map site that could do the things the old mapquest did? Ex: drag route, add points etc.
The Classic Mapquest used to be so easy to use and gave me all the information I needed. Now it's confusing, convoluted and gives me only the info they think I should have. If I'm plotting mutliple stops, it's hard to figure out how much time to allow between each stop. New Mapquest is frustrating and I'm constantly using other map programs because I give up on New Mapquest. Sucks!
I am tired of fooling around trying to properly navigate the NEW mapquest.

I have to agree 100% with those who HATE the new mapquest- I used the old one as long as possible, and the new one is COMPLETELY useless. It is impossible to get it to recognize a route that YOU prefer over one IT prefers. It takes folks through my neighbors' cow field, and that is just the start of the problems. I'm off to find a better site to use... that can't be at all hard.
What the heck happened? The new Mapquest is NOT user friendly AT ALL. Very hard to read. The fonts are horrible. The map is a mess. Very difficult to navigate. The Old Classic was a thousand times easier to use. PLEASE BRING IT BACK!
What has happened to Mapquest? It has become relatively useless! And besides, don't you test system design or programming changes before rolling it out?
Who screwed up mapquest? Why complicate a good thing? Idiot design! Crappy, can not even get on, some geek come up with nothing else to do?
