Buckeye was missing for 12 hours. She was found 8 miles from her home. Lost My Doggie sent flyers to all the vets in my area and when I made my rounds to let them all know Buckeye was found to every place I met with during my search for Buckeye, I saw the flyers Lost My Doggie sent out. That brought tears to my eyes. There were so many people helping me search for her. Seeing that flyer that was sent out was like a God send. LESS THAN 12 HOURS AFTER THE "ANIMAL ALERT" WENT OUT I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL AND THE MAN TOLD ME IM PRETTY SURE WE FOUND YOUR DOG. I GAVE HIM MY ADDRESS AND 5 MINUTES LATER THERE WAS A KNOCK AT THE DOOR AND THERE WAS A COUPLE HOLDING OUR DOG. THEY TOLD ME THEY ONLY LIVED A COUPLE OF STREETS OVER FROM OURS AND THAT THEY HAD RECEIVED THE ANIMAL ALERT ON THERE PHONE. THIS SITE IS OUTSTANDING. THANKS SO MUCH!

We were devastated when our dog, Zoe, went missing. We promptly went online to find a lost dog service and found this one. They created a flyer for us for free then we went and made hundreds of copies of and posted all over town and facebook. It worked! A week and several sightings later, we got an early morning call that led us to an area of town we didn't think we'd need to search. Several hours of searching later, we had her!

We had an excellent experience with lostmydoggie.com when our two dogs went missing for 24 hours. We purchased the $90 package, which allowed us access to the flyer, sent 25 faxes and 10 emails to area shelters and vets, and made 500 calls to area homes. The woman who confirmed my order upgraded me to 700 calls to local homes, with no extra fee, since we had two dogs that had gone missing. The lady who ended up having our dogs, who showed up on her back porch, received one of these automated calls and called us right away. This service brought our dogs home. The morning of my husband's birthday we noticed that one of our house cats, Athena, was MIA. We searched EVERY inch of our house and nothing! We drove around, asked the neighbors to search their yards and called the local shelters. My mother and I were typical women, being emotional and thinking the worst. My husband was the calm and rational one that looked up multiple websites that gave tips and sites that put up info on lost animals. We came across this website and it gave us helpful tips on where to look and how the personality of your animal can affect how far they will travel. I posted all of Athena's information and began to search around the neighborhood based off of this website's advice. My post was visible on the website immediately. After 8 hours of searching, we found Athena in our next door neighbor's shed. She was hiding up high just under the roof of the shed. She had a perfect view of us running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Although I didn't have the opportunity to experience the communication part of this website to find my cat, this was still a useful tool in helping me find her. I lost my dog on Christmas Eve and it was a horrible experience I never want to go through again. We searched for hours and went around our entire neighborhood everyday until the day he came back which was the 28th. He was missing four days. Luckily, he found his way home and was scratching on our door that morning. Even though no one called because they saw the flyers, this website is GREAT! Everything was really easy to use and input. If you have a lost pet PLEASE do all you can to find them! If someone has your pet, such as an animal shelter or vet they will contact you as long as you sent out that alert. If you don't have money for some of the other packages just get the free one! Anything helps! You can also print out the flyer they made for you and post them around town just like I did. I hope this helped, don't worry you will find your dog!

First off, with the help of lostmydoggie, we were able to successfully recover our family dog!

Our dog got loose while visiting family in Columbus, OH. After exhausting our own search methods and feeling rather helpless and desperate, we decided to research a handful of online options. Having never been in this situation, being from out of state, or having any experience using a pet alert, I was a little skeptical and apprehensive.

However, what attracted me to lostmydoggie were the good reviews, both from users and the news media. I also liked how much they offered for the free option, and the pricing on the phone alerts was quite good. I started with the free plan knowing it would save a lot of time and effort notifying all of the local agencies. Then after further reading and seeing how fast things were being processed and sent out, I realized stepping it up to phone alerts would be much better.

I couldn't believe how fast the phone alerts went out on Christmas Eve! I heard a copy and was rather impressed to hear a human's voice on the alert. I emailed lostmydoggie later that evening and asked if I could get access to a phone log online. Donna replied promptly via email with a full excel file.

Then on Christmas day, Donna called me and said someone called her responding to the phone alert! Our dog was found and the local dog authority was called to rescue her. The woman who spotted our dog reported the dog was injured and was seeking shelter in a nearby bush. The woman stayed around until the authorities arrived.

In reflection, a few things really stood out with lostmydoggie. First, the response was extremely fast, and during a major holiday! Second, an actual person was monitoring this site, both email and phone. Words can't express the relief and elation we got from getting a personal phone call with good news, and at that point it reinforced that this company has a genuine interest in helping others and doing pet rescue. I'm certain that creating a heightened awareness within the community contributed to the timely rescue of our dog. My only regret was not contacting them sooner.

Our dog is a Siberian Husky whose chain broke one evening and ran off. My husband and I looked for her for hours and couldn't find her that night. The next day we continued looking and I was getting desperate; so I decided to search online for optional help. That's when I found this website. I was able to sign up for free and send an alert for our lost dog. Sure enough the third day came and I received several calls from near by clinics and one of them had our dog :) I'm very thankful for this website and many others like this.
