This site does NOT cooperate. I purchased a massage and the merchant NEVER answered their phone. I was not able to redeem my purchase and they gave me something called deal bucks which is a way for you to still purchase something from their site. This is not worth your time or worth the "deal" price. Stay away if you wish to not deal with a company that is not willing to deal with you. ZERO STARS.
Customer service will not refund you money if you have an issue with a company. I had bought a message and the masseuse never had openings. So my voucher expired and LivingSocial would not honor a refund.
Wonderful site to make you believe in luck. Lucky if you get everything smooth else don't expect anything from them. I bought some vouchers and goods never delivered. I contacted vendor and i have given promises and no delivery at all. Living social says vouchers are expired so we can't do anything. Then again I provided proof (i have been charged delivery) then no answer. If you don't receive your stuff then your are on your own. If you can't survive but buying from here Use american express. Dead social.
I bought a living social voucher for a nail salon but they would not honor it because I was running a couple of minutes late due to not being able to find their store---instead of telling me how to get there they acted rude, said I lost my appt time. So. I said I would just try to reschedule or they then told me I lost the use of the voucher because I did not cancel within 24 hours... this is stupid--what if your kid gets sick or you are sick? -- and then I tried to redeem the 17 dollars purchase price 2 months later and the salon would not do that either--I tried to make appt on the phone... I complained to Living Social on their facebook page and they are all. Oh email us info and we will take care of it... BULL. It seems some business' get mad at the customer when they have one of these vouchers... I don't know the reason behind it. Living Social said this salon has the right to forfeit the voucher and now I am out of money... Living Social has hundreds of bad comments... they refuse to refund my money or make this right... I would stay far away from them. And they deserve minus a star. Not even one..
A friend of mine told me to download the app "FullCircle". It has lots of great features! One of them is called NearbySuperDeals and it is like Living Social, but I think better. You don't have to purchase anything online! The deals are all local and it says that it currently is free for a business to post a deal so it seems like new companies are signing up everyday.
This site is great if you want a deal but do not expect any customer service. In additon, if you buy something from them and the merchant does not live up to the agreement you are screwed. Living social will do nothing to make it right. I bought a certificate for dog training and when I tried to schedule it will the merchant I was unable to. I called LivingSocial to try and get it resolved. They were great on the phone and promised me they would resolve the situation. After that nothing but emails stating too bad nothing we can do. I even asked for a credit to their website to use for a different deal and was told No.
Do not use them. Groupon is a better company and website!
I would not even give them a Star if a zero was possible, they sold a mobile service massage and then when i went to redeem it they would not come to me asked me to come to them
When i approched living social about a refund they basically said to bad to sad to late can't get a refund after 30 days, Buyer beware
I wouldn't give a single star for this garbage. My fiancé purchased 3 driving laps with Racing Box at Pocono speedway. We drove an hour and a half to the track the morning of the event and find that it was cancelled. I called living social to request a refund and was denied a refund. I was told I would only get credit towards something else after I told Living Social that I no longer wanted to do business with them and just wanted to get her money refunded. I'd also stay away from any Racing Box offer, as I tried to contact them as well and I get no reply by phone at all.
Horrible customer service! The site glitches right at the time that we were checking to make sure our coupon code worked and when it refreshed it not only had sent our purchase through but it DOUBLED our order! We didn't get the coupon attached and now were overdrawn in our bank account for 2 of the items we didn't confirm. We email them immediately and 5 days later we get a response saying they will not refund us nor will they accept a return. LS you just lost 2 more customers and we will be filing a claim with the BBB and our bank. I suggest we start contacting the news stations as well so the word gets out how fraudulent these people are! M
Living Social issues vouchers with several expiry dates, so you have to really read hundreds of terms and conditions in a tiny print to know that the voucher is only valid at only a couple of hours a week on certain dates and actually expires 2 months earlier than advertised. The reminder that the voucher is about to expire comes on 2 months later than the actual expiry date! Customer service is non existent. They send templated messages - 2 lines meaning - I don't care about your problem, you are not having your money back, don't want to hear from you again. Disgusting upsetting experience. They just rip off businesses and dont care about customers. All they care about is money.
Purchased coupon for Iphone wall charger from Blingberry, unit did not work, paid $55.00 + shipping they sent me a refund for $18.95. Do not Use Living social or Blingberry
I am so done with Living Social! - This company will be going out of business and I can't wait. Just took off my account information and credit card # - problem after problem occurred, no refunds. In the end I have lost over $100.00 - Do not get scammed by this lame company. We all live and learn, especially when we get burned.
Frustrated
Horrible customer service. I ordered an Iphone armband December 31/2012,
Still waiting for it. I have emailed them several times and still no answear. Keep away from this
Company.
There is zero customer service and I am discontinuing my subscription... but I cannot even access my account since they had their internet issue. I am so frustrated with theses people. Just spent another 15 minutes on hold on the phone. I can't wait to tell every one I know to not take the risk with them.
Same as the others, bought a ticket to an event and realized soon after I couldn't make that date. I checked their FAQ and it mentions they can do one move of date but after multiple calls they refused to exchange dates.
I ordered gold coated playing cards, did not realise the order had gone through, so I went into site again and unbeknown to me ordered another lot of cards at $87 when i realised what i had done emailed them immedietly, their explanation is once order has been placed it cannot be canceled. I will not deal with these people again. They are scammers. Shortyeric
They are a bunch of crooks and will do anything to try and get out of giving a refund! I booked a beauty treatment and the supplier had booked it in for an hour later than I had booked it for. It was the last day of the offer and we agreed between ourselves that I would be treated and the supplier would ask Living Social to refund me. They did this and when I spoke to Living Social about it they denied the supplier had contacted them and asked me to prove it! I contacted the supplier and she spoke to them again and asked them to give me a full refund. The outcome was (after various very heated phone calls and several emails) that Living Social refused point blank to refund me as the offer had expired! Their customer service is absolute rubbish and I would recommend that people go to other discount sites such as KGB, Groupon and Wowcher - all of whom have excellent customer service and would all have given a refund where a merchant cannot honour an offer.
The company is somewhat legit. However, the vendors that they sell vouchers for are not, necessarily. If you purchase a voucher from a scam company - they will not refund. I have been going back and forth for days with Living Social about a voucher they sold for Fresh Air Duct Cleaning. Sadly this company is nothing more than a call center full of excuses on what you did wrong to cancel your appointment and void your voucher. They have no techs and no intention of showing up to clean your ducts. Living Social received their take from the sale and has even sold this voucher again! The extent of their research is to call the company and repeat the same canned excuse for cancellation. Very poor customer service, but even worse, the voucher for sale cannot be trusted.
I purchased a coupon for a massage thru LivingSocial May, 2012 with an expiration date of 2/13/13. I called the service provider the week prior to the expiration. I was told she wasn't taking anymore appts for that coupon but was extending it (for a month thru Mar and then thru April) and would put me on a waiting list. 3 months later she has never called me with an opening. I called her a number of times but she would never book me out into the future. I sent the details to Living Social but they will not refund my money even after providing me a letter where they had told the owner she should honor the promotional value.
Much better customer service from Groupon, SuperDeal, AmazonLocal and PoshBirmingham. I will not do busines with Living Social again. $35 down the drain.
Answer: I wouldn't recommend these people to anyone. A total nightmare. They take your money don't send the goods and they don't answer e mails
Answer: There do seem to have been some financial problems with many of the deals from Living Social. But when I had a problem they answered the phone and it was dealt with quickly and the goods resent.
Answer: Have you contacted the customer service at Livingsocial.com? I have found them to be pretty responsive in the past. This is a seperate review site.
LivingSocial is a leading "daily deal" site that sells discounted experiences and local services--restaurants, spa trips, home services, travel, etc.--via voucher. The consumer must pay for the voucher upfront, and the voucher generally must be used within a specified time period or it cannot be redeemed. To make these deals possible, LivingSocial sells merchants on its ability to help "find and keep more customers". LivingSocial is a private company based in Washington DC and its shareholders include Amazon.com.
