LinkedIn has created a lot of impacts both for organizations and employees, it is such a wonderful platform that - anyone can share valuable content that brings change to the society as well as business.
Definitly one of the best services if you are looking for a new job. Just add your working exprience and start to build your connections with HRs!
We help Canadians remove old criminal records with a Canadian Pardon so that they can be safe to get jobs and travel to the US!
To be fair, I just looked at a couple of pages on this site and gave up. They list no wages. That's a huge factor in sifting through the jobs. Some of the same jobs are listed on Indeed, and Indeed lists the wages.
LinkedIn is one of the most adorable website for job seekers, you get to connect with new people with the same career objectives, you can easily get a good employer and an employer will be to recruit the person suitable for each job specification.
I like LinkedIn. It's a pretty innocuous site. I have no complaints. I've used them for about 5 years.
I joined this social network in 2017. Until now I don't understand What's the use of it.
Does anyone get a job thought Linkedin?
Fond out this company had a breach June 2012. I was never notified as I should have been! Found out this info on credit karma website. I cannot post photo of this as my email address and partial password is shown, however, I will rewrite word for word what is states:
'In 2012, more than 6.5 million linkedin user passwords were breached an posted onto an online crime forum - but that was just he tip of the iceberg. Four years later, linkedin discovered more than 117 million email and password combinations from that breach on the dark web. Even if you don't use your linkedin account anymore, it's important to take steps to protect the info that was exposed.'
These sites need to be financially penalized as this is a atrocity. When will these pathetic companies learn?
Linked is a very good website which allows employers search for your skill and all u need do is keep increasing your skill in your field of work and update on your profile.
It's a shame to see LinkedIn with racism and profiling in 2019!
My wife decided to setup her LinkedIn profile for the first time two days ago... she included her full name, business details, education, certificates and all the necessary details including country. However the next day she was also asked to send a photo ID (this is unheard of) but despite that, she also complied and sent as requested. That same day she was told that her account was banned citing "security concerns" and the need to "protect their community"!
She has complied with everything, she's not from the Middle East or any war-stricken country or has any relation to such. She sent them multiple emails asking for help as to why the account was banned and all they said is they can't give the findings of their security team.
A full read of their Terms and Conditions showed no violation or anything that could have been against their rules with a 2 day old account. It's a real shame some companies still go to such levels to discriminate against certain minorities. I'll make it my mission to keep posting this level of discrimination experienced by your company and hopefully, it'll be reached by a news agency!
As someone off the road, I can't really show up for an interview at any given time just to be declined or to get a maybe. Using this site I can set up a virtual interview and get an answer right away.
I sent an email with a forwarded email I received from them and explained this Mark Johnson (fake name?) guy who claims to be some exec* gave them the wrong email address. They returned an email stating the email address I sent to them is no longer valid (it was a customer service address - I guess they're saying they no longer have customer service) and to log in and search around the help section. Hellooooo, not everyone is dumb enough to have a linkedin account. I am not about to sign up with a company who doesn't see the need to protect information and take issues on complaints. Everything they needed to know was right there in my email with the forwarded email I had received. It's quite clear they don't care about security issues.
There is NO way to contact them when someone is fraudulently using your email address. From LinkedIns reviews I'm guessing fraudulent use of my email address isn't the only less than consumer friendly issues LinkedIn has.
I'm saving the emails I received and sent, but I don't think I should put a photo of them here. It's bad enough my email appears to be attached to a fraudulent account with a company who just doesn't care what's going on.
If they clearly aren't concerned about these sort of issues - I wouldn't sign up because I seriously doubt your information is important to them either.
*not listing company just in case there is such an idiot and such a company. There are 1000s with this name.
First impression, the system works. Easy personal information setup, interactive site, people can view our employment status directly from our own page. Easily to get a new job when changing status from working to looking for a job. Quite fast.
I love visiting this site in terms of business because most times, it will connect you to your target audience making it easier to hook you up. It is just good for business match-making.
I have a profile there since 2017. But I still can't get used to it. My friends tell me that they get offers thanks to Linkedin, but it's not about me. My account didn't help me with career formation. So I don't see reasons to stay there.
I subscribed with linked in premium for a trial for a 30 day period. I was expecting a monthly renewal after the expiration and I see a yearly charge to my account. I spoke to customer service and asked her if this was a default set option of yearly renewal and she refused to speak about it any further and before I could complete my conversation, she shut the chat window on me. Now I see that I was charged for the trial period and there is no way to reach customer service. Overall a terrible experience
A competitor has cloned my LinkedIn page, one to one, and when I asked for support, my Business page was taken down, but the Hackers cloned account, which is currently spreading threatening message to my circle of clients, stayed up and running. Absolutely incompetent and crazy LinkedIn support personnel now damage my Business now as a consequence, for letting a hackers cloned account up and running, and for taking my Page down.
I have been trying very hard to get support with an ongoing issue I have with LinkedIn. This has been dragging on for months, and yet the problem has yet to be resolved. Their "member support" keeps asking the same questions of me, over and over and over -- it appears that each agent that gets handed my issue, doesn't take the time to review the history, so they go to their "flip chart" and say, "You just need to do XYZ, and your problem will be solved". Unfortunately, if they had read my file, they would have seen that I have already tried "XYZ" (and A through W, as well), and that these steps have done absolutely NOTHING to help resolve my problem. On top of that, they have thrice said that they couldn't find a resolution, so the have kicked the issue up to their "Research Team". Unfortunately, their "Research Team" has done nothing but re-suggest the same tested-and-failed flip-chart solutions I have already proven ineffective, so they are also useless.
Bottom line: If you want to use LinkedIn -- good luck. As long as all you want to do is make connections, you'll likely be fine. BUT, if something goes haywire and all of the sudden your email server is overwhelmed with input from LinkedIn that you cannot stop, and their "Member Support Team" is your only hope, then you have NO HOPE!
Platform has changed frequently and is now more cumbersome for recruiters to the point of becoming irrelevant. Too many glitches/technical issues and no results. Only interested in talking when renewals are due or there is money to be made. We already pay more than is valuable anymore. Do not recommend LinkedIn recruiter - find an alternative.
Answer: The recommender should be direct, comment on project you have worked on, and a brief summary of your work style
Answer: It is a platform for professionals to connect with each other but it is failing miserably because it doesn't deliver. There is a great deal of dissatisfaction with the product.
