All three times I ordered formal dresses, and each time I was very pleased with the product, shipping, and customer service. The shipping was very fast and I could check on the progress of the shipment at any time. The dresses themselves each came exactly as expected, the material was quality, and the packaging was secure. I'd absolutely recommend this website to anyone, especially because of the affordability, range of sizes, and number of different formal dresses. And you get rewards from past orders. I was going to change my review to 4 stars since light in the box agreed to resend my shipment without charging anything. Today i finally received my new tracking number, i checked on DHL website it says "shipment on hold"; So i called DHL to find out whats going on. They told me the SHIPPER put an incomplete name AGAIN! They cannot ship out the item unless the shipper call in and fix it. I mean how can you make the same mistake 2 TIMES? UNBELIEVABLE, that means now i need to wait for another month for light in the box to fix this "ISSUE" again? How much longer i need to wait to finally "RECEIVE" the item? 6 more months?
Update: DHL just updated, shipment got RETURNED to the shipper AGAIN. Great now i need to wait for another month for Light in the box to "fix" it

Originally I posted a bad review regarding the issues of my shipment. Customer service of light in the box saw my review and contacted me and try to resolve the problem. They promised me to fix the problem WITHIN 1-2 business days if i delete the review i posted; so i deleted my old review. Rite now it's already 1 week and they still haven't fix my issues, the worst part is they DON'T reply to my ticket messages at all. (On their website they promise to answer ticket messages within 24 hrs)

Ordered March 28. May 6th, they still did not deliver. The package was not shipped. Very polite auto-answers resemble trade conditions two centuries ago (best so far was the "there is bad weather in china" so there is a delay). No possibility to claim refund or to cancel order. All tickets are closed automatically while problem persists. Finally, when trying to use the "complain to supervisor" link, auto-reply message informs that my "rating" does not allow me to address them...! FRAUD COMPANY! PLEASE STAY AWAY!

All you can do is raise tickets, bots will send a reply telling you to be patient and wait 60 days and after 60 days raise another ticket to get the same reply be patient and wait 60 days. This is a scam, don't believe the positive reviews they are sent by the same scammers to lure fools like me.

They charged us $49 dollars shipping to start with then we got another £80 duty cost on top... the dresses were awful... when asked to return they wouldn't let us said we could only get 20% of our monies back or 30% on a credit?! Is this even legal? A total rip off

I paid for 5-8 day shipping for an item I needed for a party. Shipped on April 14, needed by April 26th. It's now May 1 and the package is still not here. Customer service is poor to say the least.

Ordered some goods on 30th March, supposed to be 10 days! Still nothing by end April, so chased, we were out when post office delivered, only to have a form saying we needed to pay £13.69 tax? Nothing was stated on the original order- if it was a must have been very small print. Advised that if I rejected the order I would only get a refund of £24.00 - paid £34.00
So we will pay the tax and keep the goods, just hope they are up to scratch!

I suggest you be very careful when deciding to deal with Lightinthebox. I ordered from them some dresses according to sizes worn in America. Of course, after a long, long time I received the dresses and they were all very small on me. True, they were cheap, but the materials they were made off were also very cheap. I tried to control my disappointment and politely emailed to them to send me a return slip because I didn't want to pay for their return. I send them many emails and every time I did, I got back a message "problem solved." I even had problems donating those dresses to thrift shops because the sizes were not fit for American people. This blog is only the beginning because I'm also trying to get in touch with the Commerce Department. No US citizen should lose money the way I did.

After some issues in making contact, a problem I had is being resolved in a very efficient manner. A simple email contact would make any problems a lot easier to explain/resolve and the criteria for a returns process, take a photo, is no use when the problem is electrical and not physical damage. Made order over 2 weeks ago. One order sent seperately never arrived. 3 other products arrived damaged. A large wedding hat, venetian mask and under skirt for costume ball were crammed into a single cheap cardboard box, so the mask and hat arrived broken. The company is a scam. They have the cheek to label the hat as 'fragile handle with care' and yet they sent it broke and distorted bent out of shape so that it cannot be worn.
The venetian mask doesnt even resemble the mask that was ordered online either.
Looking at the other reviews on this company, its likely that the ball dress i also ordered will never arrive despite paying extra for 'Expedited Postal'. The products should have been sent together in one delivery, as they were processed on the same day anyway.
The postal and shipping charges cost 33% extra on top of my entire order, and yet my ball dress has not even arrived. I have no use for a dress that doesnt arrive in time for my formal event.

Absolutely non existent customer service... I have been trying to place an order for two weeks and it still won't go through... After reading other reviews, perhaps I should be grateful... Absolutely nobody seems to be trying to resolve the problem. Very disappointing because the hats I wanted were for a Derby Party Fundraiser and now it is too late to expect Light in the Box to get them to us in time and it is too late to seek another source.

I ordered six dresses in total! The casual beachy dresses fit but the formal dresses do NOT! I used their sizing chart and followed the measurements. I wanted to return the three formal dresses but light in the box will not send me instructions on how to do it. I filled out a ticket and someone had responded but only to see if I had USED THEIR SIZING CHART. Selena, who was the person who messaged me, never informed me on how to send them back. She has not replied to any of my responses! I am conpletely frustrated because I feel as though they stole my money away from me. I have a right to a refund and I do not recommend this website to anyone. In fact, stay away from it completely.

All of the clothing I received was horrible quality and did not look at all like the photo they had online. They were just plain awful and the sizing was a joke. I received an XL shirt that would not fit a small person and a Med shirt (was supposed to be the same shirt as the XL) and the medium was literally larger than a 4x One was a terrible quality plain sweatshirt with a sticker posted on it and the other was a draping long gown like garment. I was appalled.would recommend finding a different company.
