Lifetime Fitness

I was harassed by another member at the Lifetime Fitness Shenandoah, TX location after asking her to clean chalk off a barbell. She mocked my appearance, got in my face, and put her hands on me. Other gym members witnessed it and got staff. I raised my voice because I was being cornered—but I did not initiate any physical contact. I filed a formal complaint and was told the security footage would be reviewed. When I followed up, the story changed. First I was told I touched her. Then it became "you both touched each other." The camera angle? Too far from the rack to show anything clearly. Still, Lifetime used it to justify doing nothing. To make matters worse, the woman's husband—also a member—stared me down in an intimidating way as I walked off the gym floor. I said something because I was uncomfortable. His response? "Cry harder, little $#*!." Lifetime still allows both of them to train. The manager told me I'd need a restraining order for them to take action—but no police report was ever filed, making that nearly impossible. The same manager bragged about his great relationship with the local police. So here I am—harassed, blamed, and unsupported.
