My elderly mom wanted me to help her create a new will. Based on her minimal funds, I chose LegalZoom based on the many positive reviews. It was a huge mistake. My moms "estate" is very simple but does include a small home. "Wills" commonly include detailed distribution of assets, to include real property. The "comprehensive will" product on legalzoom does not provide for inclusion of a home which is durable in probate. Also, the "comprehensive" aspect of the will includes assistance from an attorney. I had questions, very basic questions, that the legalzoom person could not answer. So I scheduled a call with an attorney (which required a wait time of 5 days). On the next day I received an email from the attorney's firm stating that the call will not be conducted as scheduled unless "all of the individuals who will be signing the document to be on the phone call. " Well how am I to get my elderly mom and two witnesses together when we don't even know who they are during the draft stage of a will?
The technical issues at legalzoom were abundant. One part of the will could not be used because the website skipped right by it ("special circumstances"), yet the legalzoom employee just ignored my request to describe what and why it is missing? When a will is edited is takes a whole day to provide the resulting PDF file for review. Wait times to talk to a rep were in excess of an hour and a half on Jan 5,6 and 7th of 2021. The legalzoom rep I spoke with had no idea what the resulting will document looks like after inputting the basic data on the web.
All around a terrible "service". Their only redeeming quality is that their billing department immediately refunded my money without question (as though they are always refunding money). I wasted the better part of three days on legalzoom.
I paid to register LLC. However they emailed me to ask for materials. I eventually did all the work and registered by myself. I also replied their email to cancel the service and for the refund (within 12 weeks). However, when I eventually called them in Nov 2020 asking for refund, they claim that it already passed the 12 week limit and they did not receive my email to cancel the service. I called several times, one of their staff offered a $50 compensation, which I denied. I need a full refund since I did my job to cancel the service.
I will never use LegalZoom again. Not only have my documents been held up three times now, but in the three times I've had to speak to an agent they have turned what was supposed to be a simple process into an ongoing nightmare. Today I woke up to a surprise charge on my account of $249. When I look on my receipt in my account, the charge isn't listed and shows the fee "included" in the receipt. Nice surprise. They have sent communication on everything else, but not this. If you want legal services, go to a real lawyer. It will save you the hassle of the back and forth, misinformation, and time. It will be worth the extra money.
I had paid for a trademark search with LegalZoom and they did a very very poor job…the trademark was rejected and I called LegalZoom and talked to Joya a manager with LegalZoom and they weren't willing to make it right…I told Joya that I was going to leave negative feedback on the internet but he didn't care…. We were having a back and forth and he said I interrupted him and he went into a long spiel about how interrupting was disrespectful…I tried to point out that a back and forth was how conversations go…I let him say his peace but boy to be dressed down by an employee of a company when you are a CEO of a couple companies and i'm 60 years old is quite offensive…I would find a better company to do business with…as it's one thing to refuse to make things right but quite another to be disrespectful and I was nothing but respectful to him…can you say "power trip"... I hate leaving bad reviews but hey I gave them every opportunity to make it right... used to be a good company... steer clear... or you will lose money like our company did.
Purchased a Living Trust on 10/3/20, and unfortunately received terrible customer service to the point I cancelled my purchase on 10/16. LegalZoom claims to have a 100% satisfaction guarantee and offers a full refund within 60 days of purchase. I was informed by their personal services dept that I would be refunded everything except $50.00. They explained that there's a cancellation fee with a deed company within my living trust. I was never made aware of this or even spoke with anyone at a deed company. In fact, my trust application was never completed before I cancelled. Bottom line, LegalZoom has loop holes in their satisfaction guarantee. And they have terrible customer service, don't explain things up front, and if you need help they really don't care about you as a customer. So glad I never completed the Trust as they would have been a nightmare to deal with moving forward.

I paid Legal Zoom to assist with obtaining a Trademark. Immediately I was bombarded with popups and emails requesting that I purchase more service when the initial service wasn't even complete yet. They were so slow that someone with a similar business name was able to submit and go live a month after I contacted Legal Zoom. Because of mis information, information that I did not want made public was made public. I attempted to contact Legal Zoom by phone and was on hold for over an hour before some person with zero answers finally came on the line. I decided to contact the US Government trademark office directly and was on hold for less than 3 minutes with excellent customer service. I realized that it wasn't necessary to use LegalZoom in the first place and really feel scammed. I basically paid them to make the entire service more difficult and now I've spent hours on the phone trying to correct the mistakes they made while applying for my trademark. If they had any level of customer service I would ask them to correct the information however, I can't even get someone to answer the phone, another call and 50 minutes later still no hour, recording says wait times up to 8 hours. Do not give these people your money they are scam artist.

Paid 330 dollars and after a month and half they still do not know when a simple DBA is going to be finalized. Spent more than 4 hours on the phone, been offered erroneous information, there is no supervisor on the phone ever and they keep blaming the state officials. They are just disrespectful arrogant and ignorant.

Legal Zoom gave me great service before I handed over the money. Once I paid the wait times to speak to a rep were over 2 hours, I would request a call back and get hung up on and never receive a call back, I had documents waiting to be sent to the state and were outdated by the time they got to the state so they were rejected, I resent documents over 7 times, one rep would say everything looks great only to get a call the next day saying they never received the documents? I filed in May and still have nothing to show for it... THREE MONTHS later and paid for the "expedited 5-7 days". Legal Zoom is a joke and I will NEVER do business with them again.

I was revising my Will. I went on the chat and recived Aimee. She was extremely capable and extremely competent. She calmy walked me through the steps although I, was having some difficulty. In the end through her expertise ( she never offered legal advice) she was competently able to navigate me through the system and in the end all things worked out perfectly. I would like to thank her as a knowlegedable employee who knows exactly what customer service stands for, she's a credit to your company.

CSADA takes 0% of any donation for administrative costs, 100% goes to the animals. This was created so low-income people can keep their beloved animal and not have to put it down or give it away due to expensive medical costs. This pet may be their only reason for getting up each day.

I have no issue with the legal direction of the program, it is the antiquated user interface that will drive you crazy. Once you start it, there is no way to move backward or forwards to a different section with out clicking each individual page, 15-20. It is just maddening. If you end up having questions or need to check on something you will kill hours just trying to see if you included something or not. An then when you want to review it, you have to complete it to even take a look, no preview. So you end up with a revision for every time you make a change. Made me just want to tear my hair out. There is no reason to have such a horrible user interface in this day and age. Felt like using a tax program 20 years ago.

One year I signed up for "RA + Legal Form" and the next year I tried to cancel. They charged me anyway and I had to argue with them to get a refund. This year? They charged me twice! (I kid you not.) Charged me twice for a service that I tried to have cancelled years ago. They refunded one of the charges but not the other. Get a real lawyer... it'll be cheaper in the long run.

Do not use Legal Zoom. They are overpriced and have terrible customer service. Most disturbingly is that they raised the price of a product by $100 without any notice and then had 3 hour wait times to speak with a representative. While other companies are working to help small businesses during COVID, Legal Zoom is raising their prices and then dodging calls to cancel the overpriced rip off service. I spent 4 hours trying to reach them to cancel the product that was literally DOUBLED in price and am still out of luck. Please please please do NOT use Legal Zoom.

Careful of subscribing for some of their services. If you want to cancel, they still charge you on a loophole. I. e. To dissolve your business Legal zoom requires you to contact the Sec. Of State in order to honor your request to cancel. They can do that and charge you $139 to do so, if not they will charge you the full yearly charge $240).
