Yeah, what many others have said about this place being a scam...
The site is little more than a platform for those who wish to prey on the lonely, heart broken, or naive individual.
If you're bored, you can watch in real time as profiles change before your eyes. Don't be surprised if, after a quick "hello", you're asked within the first five or six messanges for personal information or to "get to know each other" off site.
As soon as you push back or indicate that you've had the experience of ppl misrepresenting themselves, lying, or scamming... POOF! They're gone.
(Until they resurface at a later date...)
So if you're bored, looking for something unconstructive to do, wanna waste some $$$, & enjoy beating a scammer at their own game, STAY AWAY.

I don't think its a scam if you don't like the Lady X her out or delete her if you think she or he is a fake. I have found a considerable number of contacts utilize fake, pirated photos claiming that their sister or aunt set up their site. Also the ages posted are typically wrong, suggesting younger ladies are looking for older gentlemen, those with money, for financial benefits. "Never send money to ladies (or men) you haven't actually met." Typically the request for money is that their phone is acting up, their mother needs food, they will come to you if you pay for the ticket. Kismia is slow to respond to claims of fake profiles (blocking reasons). Kismia does have a better reputation than POF (Plenty of Fish) in terms of the level of fake profiles/photos/age/cities claimed to reside. The rule of thumb is that if it's too good to be true, a beautiful girl showing an interest in me, it probably is..

As for communication, there are no problems, except that you can not send photos in correspondence, which is very annoying. Advertising on the site is also not, even in the free version.
