I saw this link at the bottom of an espn.com page. I clicked on it knowing it probably was a scam. It brought me to a page with Memphis Gazette at the top of the page with a reporter or something laying over a LCD tv box that he "recently won." I clicked on the JumboCloseouts link and was taken to a page with a video that I didn't even care to listen to. I decided to google the Memphis Gazette and quickly found out that a Memphis Gazette doesn't even exist. Not to mention the fact that the page of the proposed Memphis Gazette looked like a real news website, but it had links everywhere on it that you couldn't even click. That's 2 red flags already. Then I searched for jumbocloseouts on google and found this site where all of you have told your stories. I can't believe that you would be so dumb with your information and credit card numbers, but whatever. You live and learn right?

Just to Follow up on this, I too was suckered out of $150.00 Live and learn as one writer notates below. This company will pay! Poor lady with the sons birthday cake!
I've filed a complaint with the BBB. I'm working with their webhost Rackspace.com to take these theives offline. The webhost is in NO way affiliated with these thieves other than the fact they host their website. They can be contacted by *******@rackspace.com.
I can't believe I was taken as well, I guess I've just developed a trust with the technology that is not necessarily good I suppose! If you find out anything that can help take these scammers offline and save someone else the grief, please offer suggestions.

I regret that so many have been scammed by this site but I do thank you for taking the time to post your experience. Thankfully, I googled these reviews prior to entering my credit card information. Thank you for saving me $150.00. I hope you all will be successful in getting your refunds.

I am a 64 year old female I worked for a bank for 21 years, starting from the bottom up to a site manager, then went on as a site manager for Pitney Bowes for 10 more years before retiring. I thought I was fairly smart. A couple of weeks ago I was on line and this advertisement for Jumbocloseouts.com was on the computer this is one of those penny auction bidding sites., after reading it I thought I would try it out the site said you get 100 bonus bids just for signing up. I proceeded to see if I could bet and win I won a perfume that was in a bottle like Calvin Klein's Euphoria, and a pair of cubic zircon earrings. I sent the web address to both my daughters and my son. When my daughter came over a few days later after receiving the perfume she smelled and we both liked it so I proceeded to win two more bottles. I thought I would put them up for presents later. When my social security check came I went on line to pay for what I had bid on and found out that my credit card had been charged $150.00 for bids along with the charges for the perfume and the earrings. I was shocked I had no idea that I would be charged for bids after all I signed up by a certain date to get 100 bonus bids. I called and talked to a gentleman at Jumbobids.com and he told me that you were always charged for bids and it was on the screen when I signed up, I told him I did not see that and I did not want them and he told me they were nonrefundable all he could do was offer to give me $50.00 back and that was if I didn't call my credit card company and dispute the charges. I told him I needed to talk to someone who could get my money back. He told me to email the support group and I told them I had but they hadn't answered me yet. He told me to give them a couple of days. I emailed the page that I had used to sign up
Along with the terms and agreements. There was no mention of $150.00 on this page. I have sent a total of 4 emails which they have answered but all of them say in short they win 99% of their disputes if there is activity. There was activity until I learned of the $150.00 charge. I have told them I can return everything to them, but nothing seems to help. Happy bidding is what they tell me.

Like the rest of you I have been taken for the $150 US. I have called VISA and they have been unhelpful in doing anything about this, I think they are just as bad as this site... I am going to cancel all my VISA cards!. I have sent the-email to request the money back, but have no hope of getting anything back. What a scam and nothing can be done about it. What a wonderful world we live in... buyer be ware.

This is a scam
August 27, 2010

This is a scam. Items are of poor quality. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS. I was duped too. Prices are overstated as always. This site should be investigated by the FBI. You pay 3.00$ for something worth maybe 10.00$. So you think you got a bargain. Then you are charged 9.99 for shipping. Guess what. You paid for your bids. It is a win-win for them. For us, we are SOL. SCAM ALL THROUGH and THROUGH.

This is definitely a scam and I fell pray to it as many others have. I called my credit card company and they were able to broker a compromise -$50 refund of the $150 total. However the customer service people at jumbo closeouts were defiant and bullying. Absolutely keep away from this deceptive website. I am taking it further like many others.

I was on a Fox News page looking at articles. One of them was an article about this web site. I click on it and my computer closed out of explorer for some reason. When I went back in to try to find it I ran across this page instead. Thank you all for saving me $150. I am very dissappointed. Every link on that page was a Fox news story they were even in the address bar. What is Fox news thinking? I really thought they were investigative reporters. Must no apply if they are making money.

Stay away from this website. Total scam! Like every one else, I got ripped off and was charged for $150.00 when I signed up to this website. I won 6 bottles of Centrum Multivitamis and they charged me additional $13.76. When the products arrived, it was not Centrum but some unknwon brand. I E-mailed them and requestd a refund, no one get back to me. I tried to dispute this website from my credit card company but didn't succeed. So stay away from this thieves and con artist people.

I am going to dispute it, in addition to contacting the Better Business Bureau for false advertising. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM!

I too went through HELL! W/ Kevin and I was a ferocious nasty witch. Different though than most of you, I never entered the site. I got emails goading me to go in or lose my bid points- trust me i was tempted to get something. I was so f-ing mad though i refused and just kept fighting w/ Kevin. This started 8-9 and today the 26th I finally got a refund for $150. But trust me I had to be tenacious! What I did learn though is being respectful to him went a long way. I had started out as a demon from beyond hell, calling him terrorist and filthy names coupled w/ chilling threats. I was exhausted and SOOO angry. I stopped and regrouped, decided to be HUMAN w/ him as my other self wassad and unhappy, and exhausted. I spoke to him respectfully and thanked him for his cooperation in advance, today my bank assured me it came in last night. Needless to say, lesson learned. Good luck everyone. Don't let the Hate eat you up!

There are roughly the same 14 items to bid on. A couple of gift cards, a ipad, kindle, few laptops, and 46 " samsung plasma. Three of the auctions are for discounted jumbodiscount bids? So you bid for the chance to get discounted bids to bid on discounted items...(about 10 different items). T
He biggest ripoff of this site is the obvious rebidders they have that will up the price and time limit every single time you bid on something. And they have the same screen names if you watch. At. 50 cent a bid, these people are bidding 4 times as much as this stuff is worth. When you see the news report, look above at the advertisement label. I have seen the same news report attached to different penny auctions. STAY AWAY FROM ALL OF THESE!.
