I'm new about a month with DeleteMe and so far I am pleased. They give me emails of status updates. I love their idea in that we are paying them to delete us as to protect our privacy that which is what the Federal Trade Commission's Consumer Protection Division allows us, our privacy to protect us. I'm not seeing any changes on return from my $100 investment on this account. I still daily receive spam phone calls at 8-10am that wake me up sometimes and hang up when I talk to them. Scams, frauds and crooks are still not even at bay. I hear from delete me on this my second month and all I see are it saying my information has been sent for removal from 48 companies that I have never heard from. I'm going to contact the better business bureau and the theee large credit companies

I have been paying DeleteMe for 4 straight years and so far, I am seeing my name in so many sites like truth finder, ancestry.com. Etc. When you ask DeleteMe, they will just reason out that they have no control over those sites and that I have to be the one to request for the removal of my info. I don't know what I am paying them for.
First, let me say that you're not alone in your frustration. People are finding their info spread across the internet more and more these days, which is why they're turning to our service to help them remove it. However, we try to be very clear up front that our service focuses on data brokers and people search sites, but we are bound by laws in place, and is not a 1-stop-solution to all online privacy issues
For example on our "how we work" page we provide a specific list of sites we remove from. We are constantly working to add more, but it's not easy -- many of these sites are adversarial, they change their policies frequently, and do everything they can to avoid removals under the letter of the law. The landscape changes on a daily basis.
Certain data brokers are refusing to respond to all third-party agent removal submissions as we have communicated. We will continue to advocate on your behalf to combat this non-compliance to honor our opt-outs and remove your information from these data brokers. If we are not able to remove on your behalf, and we will do our best to try, we want to ensure that you have the collateral and walkthroughs needed to remove yourself in places in which we can't.
We understand taking action is essential to reducing your personal information on the internet. While DeleteMe is hard at work in regaining compliance using the means at our disposal, we have provided steps that you can take to effect removal of your information on these sites.
Folks are responsive, intelligent, and know their business. They really care about privacy!
