We continue to be a happy customer. Jobvite has delivered on all the pieces we expected and our applicant's enjoy the easy application process. We love the ease of use, global presence, social media and LinkedIn interactions, and customer support! Great job.
Our company of ~1000 employees uses Jobvite, and have been using Jobvite since the earliest stages of our startup stage. The Jobvite platform and business model grew with us, and we're very happy with the experience. From new integrations to continual updates, Jobvite's ATS has been the backbone of our hiring process.
Of course, many other products can boast that claim, but it's really the stellar partnership we received from our account manager. She keeps us in the loop regarding the specifics of each update, and works to customize our Jobvite experience. This white-glove treatment is by far what has continually reinforced our choice with Jobvite, and we've recently opted to subscribe to their Engage platform as well.
Overall, a great service.
Just started getting some new spam emails. Tried to unsubscribe from advertising with Jobvite (there is a link in their privacy policy to do this) and some of the advertiser unsubscribes failed.
Can't delete my account from Jobvite without filling out a form to open a case, according to their FAQs. But, it didn't say where the form is. Where is that form?
I am venting. My job is tough and made tougher by this terrible ATS - Jobvite. It is so stupid and un-intuitive. If you hate your recruiters - get jobvite. They will all want to quit.
Bouncing from screen to screen to screen is frustrating.
Scheduling section is a disaster.
Keeping track of candidate progress is a disaster.
Notifications are all linked - so you don't have complete emails - just links back to screens in JV. SO STUPID AND UNPRODUCTIVE.
I could go on for an hour listing the other productivity related issues in this program - but it would cause my blood to boil and I'd either have an aneurysm or I'd have to go out and shank someone.
The company service was not worth price and their contracts try to lock you into an automatic renewal annually regardless if you want the service or not. Also, be aware of their customer service representative that provide false information to make sure you stay in the contract.
If you would like a system that is not user friendly and customer service that is horrible... use jobvite. I would never recommend this system, even if you are on a tight budget. The only reason we used this is because it was cost effective and pushed positions out on social media sites. You will not have a dedicated account manager and there is a 30 day out clause... so even if the contract is annual... you can be locked in further.
If you need a black hole where to send your private data and have no right to access and no guarantee of what they'll do with it, please use jobvite.com and apply to the cheap companies using this cheap system.
The cherry on the cake: highly unsafe platform trying to register the characters you type while you're doing it. Nice for hackers who need your passwords!
I love using Jobvite. They have the most intuitive recruiting app for both employers and future employees. I have used them in both roles. From an employers' perspective, I like the ease of use, richness of future and their constant new innovation.
From the Jobseeker's perspective, I like their simple and easy to apply process followed by the ability to check the status of my application.
My company sadly uses Jobvite. I hate it. It gives me no way to see upcoming interview requests to accept or reject them other than them showing up in an Outlook calendar, which doesn't help me much since Outlook doesn't run on Linux (which my entire group uses). Jobvite provides me no way of seeing upcoming interviews nor a way to evaluate a candidate unless you can find the email. I get hundreds of emails a day so it gets lost in the pile.
Jobvite is worse than useless in my opinion. I *HATE* it with a passion and I feel sorry for anyone trying to apply for a job through them. I'm at the other end, I just want to see who has applied so I can access their resumes and accept an interview, etc. I can't even do that!
It's the worst piece of crap websites I've dealt with. Due to our HR, we HAVE to use it. I'd have much better success if I could just use a pencil and paper than using Jobvite.
Can I please just see a list of candidates I have been assigned so I can see their resumes? I'm not a HR person, just an engineer. Every time I go to the Jobvites page it shows everything, Sent Jobvites, Views, Applications, Hires, etc. as zero. I'm supposed to inverview somebody tomorrow but I can't even find them on Jobvite to look at their resume or even to click to accept the interview. It has never worked for me. I need to be able to access the site since I get buried in email and can't run Outlook.
The only way I get reminded of interviews and whatnot is that the HR person usually sends me nastygrams to accept an interview which I can't because there's no link within Jobvite!
If you're a company considering a program for tracking job applicants, stay far away from this piece of crap. It's useless for tracking and I hate it with a passion, unfortunately we're required by HR to use this stinking pile of crap.
If there were a way to give a website a -1000 rating, this site would be well deserving of it.
Agree with all the other negative comments. Buggy file upload is particularly bad. Should be called Job$#*!e.
Awesome site. I applied to a number of jobs on Jobvite - it seemed that most of the companies that posted jobs on sites such as LinkedIn had an application process with their program.
Most of the companies I applied to were very established (I applied to Starbucks and Pandora). Since they trust Jobvite enough to use it for their application process, I feel like the system is reliable. I recommend it for any job seeker because they also have job opportunities posted on their website. Definitely recommended.
This product is horrible and adds stress to what's already a stressful project in looking for a new job. There are no notifications to let you know you haven't been selected (i can only imagine what nitifications arent being sent to candidates or recruiters regarding other communications) it seems to not deliver all messages, like others, I have had recruiters contact me again after I sent a reply because they didn't receive it, not a fan. As HR software, I understand some culpability is on the user to make sure they're using the cute correctly and have the correct options checked, but the software should also be more intuitive for the HR professionals so that seamless communication is insured.
We're sorry you didn't have a good experience. Jobvite does indeed allow recruiters to provide notifications to candidates regarding the status of their application. Unfortunately, it sounds like the company you applied to turned this feature off. If you ever have a question regarding your status, please note, you can login to Jobvite and check your status or call us at 855-315-HIRE(4473) anytime for assistance.
If your HR department uses JobVite, I highly reccomend firing them. As a 10-year software development professional, I found the process on their website unintuitive, unprofessional, and insulting.
For example, upon uploading my carefully prepared resume (which I've carefully designed in Word, PDF, and HTML (online)), the resume was poorly converted into plain-text, which wasted approximately 30 minutes of my time reformatting it to make it readable. After 'completing' my application I was confronted with another page of "screening" questionares. While filling it out, my session ended, and I had to redo the whole process again.
If the company that used JobVite contacts me, I'm likely to ask for 15% more than I would elsewhere simply because this shows the kind of incompetent bureaucratic nonsense I can likely expect while working there.
We understand how much time and energy goes into preparing your resume. This is why we give recruiters the option of viewing resumes either parsed or in the format provided by the candidate (Adobe, Word, etc). We hope that you don't ever run into this situation again however, if you do, you can always call us at 855-315-HIRE (4473) for immediate assistance.
I was an applicant to a company that was using this system. The recruiter started by using the software to contact me, but after we realized the system dropped a lot of the replies, the recruiter finally just decided to give me her direct E-mail. This system resulted in several failed scheduling attempts for interviews. Don't use this system to recruit, you will just loose qualified applicants that just will end up really frustrated.
We're sorry you both ran into difficulty when contacting each other. The problem described is not something we've heard from our customers in the past and would like to reach out to better understand what happened. Can you please provide me with the name of the company you were speaking with?
When I first used it, I thought it was a legacy product from 2009 which was stuck in beta mode and not developed further. This is how I still feel after having used it for weeks. They have millions of bugs and usability issues, and my colleagues tell me that they have given up contacting Jobvite. It is a waste of time.
It is incredible how much of a damage Jobvite can incur on the reputation of your company. For example, if you internally put a candidate on "Reject" or "To Reject Later", the candidate sees this entry if he logs on to jobvite. We received emails from candidates who were asking about their status - and the status is supposed to be internal only, right? This is only one example of so many.
I will try to switch to another product asap.
We're sorry you've had a problem with the application. We'd be happy to help you out anytime and offer support through a variety of channels - live (via phone), social, web, or email. We can be reached anytime at 855-315-HIRE (4473).
This product sucks, I used it and the interface was clunky and I had to do a million clicks to do anything. The engineers must not know how to solve usability issues very well. In addition i keep getting spam from them.
I have had no luck getting employment through Jobvites. It's just a way to further distance the prospective employee from prospective employers. Some of the jobs even just change their status to "Not Selected" without reviewing one's qualifications. I guess if you don't "network" well enough, that happens to you.
Scammy.
We're sorry you haven't been able to find a job through a "Jobvite" that has been sent to you. Our customers have hired over 200K people this year alone so hopefully you will quickly find the perfect job. We have a tremendous amount of information for job seekers (tips and tricks) to help them find that perfect job online. Please check out our blog at blog.jobvite.com.
Jobvite has been a very negative experience for my company. We had high hopes initially - the social graph is a very valuable asset for companies these days. The first problem was the interface - a bit bulky, and lacking key features that make workflow management unpleasant (file types, no bulk uploads, etc) not to mention rampant privacy issues. It seemed worth it against the promise of tapping active and passive candidates through the social network...
That is until a few months went by and our employees experienced spam reports from their own networks. Jobvite basically broadcasts your position openings as status updates in your employees' social networks. Our settings were fairly conservative - with weekly or monthly recurrence as standard. We eventually had to stop using it as we received increasingly negative feedback from the people in our networks.
At three months into our service contract, we asked Jobvite for an early termination for cause but were denied. For the next 9 months, my only interaction with Jobvite was on my A/P report and it's negative impact on my bottom line. Sadly, after the better part of a year without so much as a login, we missed the termination cutoff at which time they automatically renewed our contract for another year. We called them about this to explain the situation and its impact on our cashflow, but again they wouldn't budge.
I would give it 0 stars if I could. I would strongly recommend avoiding Jobvite.
We're sorry you didn't have a positive experience. It sounds like you were on an older version of the product and didn't understand how to set the Publisher settings within the product. If you are still using Jobvite, we'd be happy to help anytime and can be reached at 855-315-HIRE (4473).
This company sucks, applies insidious discrimination techniques at best. Also does not respect privacy at all, tracks applicants in inappropriate ways, keeps data even after asking for it to be removed, et cetera. If you were denied a job via jobvite, you should report it to the EEOC for discrimination and the FTC for privacy violations. If enough people complain these agencies will take appropriate actions.
We're sorry you've had a bad experience. Our privacy policy may be found on our website at http://recruiting.jobvite.com/privacy-policy/ We value the privacy of all people and would be happy to discuss any issues you have via our support line at 855-315-HIRE(4473).
The site promised that they would not store e-mail addresses when I sent a jobvite to my friends thru their service. This is a lie, because they have continued sending things.

Hi Aaron, Sorry to hear Jobvite hasn’t been helpful for you. The Jobvite page you mention in your review sounds like our standard dashboard that allows you to see everything in the system.
In the Top Right corner, you should see “Tasks” where you’re able to see just your own tasks, including any upcoming interviews or evaluations assigned to you.
Next to Tasks is “Messages,” which shows you all the emails received with links to access your interviews, all without using your email client.
I hope this helps. Your HR department may have more resources to help you customize your Jobvite, or you can call our Support team (855.315. HIRE or@JobviteCares), and they’ll be able to help you too.
