Why is it that every time I see your adds on TV it's all black or Mexican people. I'm white and live in Texas and this is the united States, not Mexico.
Tuve mi primera sesión de fotos en JCPenney y la experiencia fue maravillosa Melissa es encantadora y atenta! Volveré
Jc penny is responsible for ruining my credit score 2x all due to their billing dept. My score is excellent until jc pennys incompetent billing department brought it down by not doing there jobs. The first time I made payment on line through my bank for months they never accepted I had to go to my bank and provide the proof Payments were sent a mess the 2nd time they were not sending me bills monthly bills I am so done with jc penny. I was a customer for many many years. Those of you that continue to use them keep a good eye out for there billing dept. So this does not happen to you. I am cutting up my card. A disappointed ex customer.
I got a CC and was told I could pay with my other CC which was wrong, ok cool. But I wanted to talk to a manager.
This lady had an attitude from the time I walked up.
When I asked for a manager she told me I had to step a side.
When I said no I wasn't finished with my business and she needed to keep helping me
She then began to raise her voice.
Everytime I have to deal with her she is rude.
She has never told me about the survey but she tells every white person about it.
From now on I will wait and hr to get taken care of so I don't have to deal with this racist
This happen at the Apache mall location in Rochester MN
Ordered two boxes of expensive dishes, one of the dinner plates was broken, wanting to give me pennies for a credit or have me return the box to the store. First of all I ordered online to avoid the store and now you want me to fix your problem, closing this account, it should not be this hard!
Penney's has never been a top notch store, but over the years it has gotten worse (mostly as far as staff & quality of product). Now, inconvenience adds to that. Returns use to be taken anywhere in the store. Now you have to go upstairs to make a return. It does not appear that there is any place to actually pay for an item upstairs; only the one checkout downstairs. So there is one person taking the returns/exchanges. There were 5 people ahead of me and just as many behind me when I finally left (no one very happy in line). There are also no fitting rooms open on the second floor where they have dresses, bras, etc. You have to go downstairs to try anything on according to the return person. Is that ridiculous?! I know stores are trying to save money, but there is a point that the consumer says enough already & I'm at that point. What a strange and inconvenient set up they have in addition to their other detractions. Will not be going there again (Bayshore NY). MB

If I could give -0 stars and still write a review I would. My husband tried to buy a 3 piece suit and because his shoulders are so wide compared to his chest they didn't have in stock at any of the stores in our area (5 to be exact) so we ordered on-line. Confirmation came back the suit would arrive in 6 days. On the 5th day we received a email saying suit jacket is no longer available. Called Jcpenney.com 10minutes later and was told the jacket is now available and they can ship and we will receive in 3days. But the pants and vest will be delivered on original expected date. I said never mind about the jacket, just send the pants and vest. We were informed at that time that the pants and vest have already been shipped. We went to our local store talked with sales manager and she ordered the jacket and we paid a extra $35 to get it within 3days. Here we are 9 days past our order delivery date and still haven't received the pants or vest and no word on the jacket either. I am so frustrated and I will never step foot into another Jcpenney or order anything on line. I will be sure to tell everyone I meet how bad their customer service is. Customer service like this no wonder they are one of the next retail stores on the chopping block.
I had ordered Alfred Dunner black women pants online. After washing the first pair, I noticed a light area on front of the pant. I thought "maybe" it was something in my wash. I ordered the second pair. This time I read the instructions which noted: they were to be washed inside out. I had not done that the first time. I followed the instructions, to a tee, for the second pair. Again they came out with a light spot on the back of the pants. JC Penney does not allow any clothing returns on items that have been washed. The problem does not happen until they are washed! These pants should clearly not be sold as they color is defective. I will certainly never purchase these Alfred Dunner pants again. I will also think twice about any further clothing purchases from JCP.
I had fairly decent luck with JCPenney's website until I had the misfortune of moving. Somehow their website kept insisting on reverting my delivery address to my former residence. I thought it finally corrected itself after several attempts, but still ended up being shipped to this address. I immediately called JCPenney's not customer service line and was assured the mistake would be resolved and the items would be resent to my new address. Well after three weeks of waiting I was told UPS was at fault and not JCPenney's. Today, I was told it was my fault because I entered the wrong address, which I kept changing to the correct address. The "customer care person" called me a liar and I was making it up. So JCPenney's can go pound sand and I hope they struggle because of their arrogance.
I purchased a pair of shoes from JC Penney online. I checked the return policy before doing so. They don't refund the shipping fee (about $8.00) and if you want to return the item they charge another $8.00. Ok so that's a bit steep but they make that known and so I have gone into an online purchase knowing what to expect.
The first pair of AirWalk blue shoes size 8.5 didn't fit so I returned them. That went smoothly. I ordered a second pair in a size 8. The item I recieved in the mail was no where close to what I ordered. So of course I had to return them since they were high top sneakers in a leopard print that would fit a child. Here's the problem though, it cost me a little over $16.00 because of THEIR mistake. I'm willing to pay those two shipping fees because I ordered the wrong size, but I shouldn't have to pay $16.00 FOR THEIR MISTAKE. So now I'm out $24.00 and I still don't have shoes.
I'll never order from JC Penney again. No wonder why they are in bankruptcy.
Merchandise is ok. Free shipping online is terrible. Usually runs a week behind of the date it is to be there. They shipped mine by LASERSHIP. It was a joke.
I was surprised to see so many bad reviews for JCPenney. This was my first time ordering. Their page stated that I would receive my items by Tuesday, which was the day I planned to go on a business trip. One item came a couple of days later and the other came 4 days later. They refused to pay to have them sent back. I did not want to incur the cost of mailing or use my gas up. I was told to take them back myself. I will never purchase another item from them. In addition, the items looked very cheap in person.
I had issues trying to figure out how to get my New Jcpenny card to work online and take advantage of the friends n family sales. It also stated additional savings up to $55 when i use my Jcpenny card. I called very next day to see if they could assist me in placing the order.first she said. Price changes daily and could not honor yesterday prices although i was frustrated in trying to order and secondly she say. There are no additional savings when you open a Jcpenny card. I told her i took hit on my credit report for Nothing you telling me? I also said the are advertising $20 off today when you use Jcpenny card or $15 off when you use any other card for payment. She said sorry for the inconvenience! Like are you kidding me? Thats it? I hung up!Wasting my time opening a card for Nothing!
Bought a diamond earring and necklace set and the insurance.the diamond fell out of my necklace so I took it in to get replaced. My husband explained to them my earrings got stolen in the hospital but just needed the necklace fixed they call me a couple weeks later and tell me they can't fix my necklace but if I will bring in my earrings they will give me my money back knowing I didn't have them so they say they can't honor my insurance because I don't have my earrings I just wanted my necklace fixed that my husband bought me for my birthday. Not a happy customer they wouldn't even give me my money back for the insurance so the insurance was a waste of money
Don't buy anymore promotional items with payments, is tricky after expiration! I will never shop anymore at JC Penney & will never recommend to the other customers about this company! I'm done!
I can get no customer service, the website says my order would cancel on March 1st it is the 14 th I can't get my refund. They expect me to drive over a hour to cancel it in person. Do not shop JCPenney especially the Prattville al location
There aren't very many around anymore but they always have great sales. I make the 30 minute drive out to the nearest one a few times a year.
I have shopped at JCP for 50+ years. I went today looking for a simple black dress. All the dresses were priced at $89. I was floored. Better dresses used to be $69. Even with a 25% discount it was still expensive. I guess my JCP shopping days are over.
Always previously loved shopping at JCPenney! They had great value was easy to return items. Therr was great customer service, but not anymore during Covid you couldn't go to the store and when you were able to return something they charged a restocking fee. Now things are not as good quality as they used to be there no customer service
Due to their outdated technology they sent our order (over $300) to the wrong address and failed to remedy the matter and continued to charge us for the items that we never received. We haven't ordered from them in over 10 years because of the poor quality. Yet my wife tried to take advantage of a sale for our travels. And they computer sent it to an old address that we haven't live at since college so even though she put in our new address. Customer service was terrible. We spoke to multiple people and even called ups. No one did anything.
Answer: I believe that there is a policy related to coupons. The clerk did look up your. Credit card. If you had been shopping at a grocery without your coupon it would have been the same. It is nice that at times they have made an exception for you which was good customer service on their part. Perhaps you had a new clerk that was still training or very busy. You should not blame the store for one instance with one employee. You also should not expect special treatment just because someone has bent the rules in the past.
Answer: No. A waste of your money. The original warranty will suffice.
