I am a senior citizen, and am not allowed to use this app for some unknown reason. Further, there is NO WAY to get in touch with a real personal to ask them WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? I have tried for TWO DAYS to contact someone with no luck and am done with it. Guess this place doesn't care too much for seniors.

I joined back in 2017 and, suffice enough to say, it's changed a lot, which wasn't for the better.

One, we could have lived without reels but they're trying to catch up to Tiktok, which is a stupid idea

Two, because of their focus on reels, they seem to mostly want you to post videos and will auto generate one, shoving it in your face.

Three, tying into the aforementioned, because of this focus on reels, hashtags don't seem to work as much. Now, the hashtags only show top posts, so if you're an artist, you might be better off posting elsewhere.

Four, the app and the website have gotten to be very hard to use. It's buggy as hell.

Five, this really did it for me. The ability to directly share to Tumblr has been removed. Tumblr shows it as an authorized website but Instagram doesn't and there's no real way to add it back.This is horrible.

While not violating ANY terms our account on fashion and lifestyle was closed for violating "community guidelines." Users can destroy brands and businesses if they "flag" your content in an attempt to steal your audience and compete.
Unlike similar platforms which penalize accounts briefly or temporarily—Instagram will simply close your entire page. If you try to contact support, you get a bot email reply. Horrible, horrible company and zero customer service.

My account was deleted along with my linked facebook because I posted a quote from a TV show and they took it to be threatening, however a man made multiple accounts where he posted my friend's selfies threatening to r*pe her and Instagram refused all our reports saying "it doesn't violate guidelines." But two decades of my life are gone because instead of talking about r*ping women I post about TV shows! Naughty me! And I had no way to explain myself or make a case because they do not have phone support, chat support or email support or ANYTHING that puts you in touch with a real human being, so if a bot decides you're in the wrong, too bad, kiss your friends and your content goodbye. Instagram and Facebook are the worlds largest scam companies. They've made several false invoices claiming my account owes them money for advertisement promotion. I have NEVER requested promo from neither Instagram or Facebook, nor have they ever promoted my page or posts. They don't even allow me to reach more than 20 people when I post a pic or story, yet alone promote me. This is the biggest scam company in the world right now.

I've had instagram for years and I'm very disappointed at the lack of response when I sent them an email to delete my account as it has been hacked and the hacker is sending messages pretending to be me to hack others and I have not gotten any communication back on the matter. I thought they'd work faster to get this resolved.
