To whom it may concern,
I am person who is hard of hearing and requires subtitles. I am 27 and female. I turn up the sound really loud to hear what I can; I still leave on the subtitles so I can read along. I own my own home so this is possible for me. The subtitles could use improvement. With editing or possibly improved text choice the actual message of the shows could be properly conveyed. The subtitles at this point are beyond disappointing. They have no conveyance of what the shows I watch actually are saying; sparse and confusing are a generosity of definition. If I was deaf fully I would be completely lost to the true plot point, story point, THE point of the show. Examples of shows I watch where subtitles could be improved are; Bob's Burgers, The Bachelorette/Bachelor, The Masked Singer, Brooklyn 99, Stumptown ect. I am an avid customer and consumer so please advise and evolve to make your product more accessible for everyone.

For the past week streaming live stops. Can not get in touch with support. When it works it is great. Getting tired of the pauses.
Hulu's slogan of, "We' about to ruin TV for you" couldn't be more true. The endless commercials that you cannot fast forward through are beyond frustrating. Even if you have already watched something and you fast forward to the part you need to be, Hulu takes you back to the last block of commercials THAT YOU HAVE ALREADY SEEN. By doing this it messes up exactly where you need to be. In addition to breaking for commercials sometimes every two to to three minutes, Hulu shows you the same commercials over and over again during the same program. For instance, I once saw a Febreeze commercial in a nonstop loop during one program. I also think it is highly ridiculous that only two people can be "using" the Hulu service in the household unless you pay extra. Hulu is a rip off.
I'm paying for NO commercials and most channels have them! In fact, more commercials than regular cable! They claim they have no control over advertisers, yet, you can pay $11.00 more for enhanced DVR. It's all a scam to get more money from you! So, in order to get commercial free HULU, you will pay $17.00 more on your bill. What a scam!
I can't, please lock me in to my home network, I travel for work. A lot.

I have had Hulu for about 6 months and I am looking for a new service. The structure of looking for program is extremely poor. Finding a desire program is difficult. The structure of the commercial breaks is insane. I have watched programs with literally black out as while there was no commercial, there mandatory timing was in effect. I have tried to fast forward BETWEEN the commercials as you can never fast forward through them, only to have the system take me BACK to the PRIOR commercial block. To be honest, I am forced to believe that the programmers at HULU either don't watch their own programing, never try to find any programs on HULU or they just simply brain dead.
BUYER BEWARE! Wish I could give zero stars. Constantly freezes up or "issues loading". Sometimes it would be hours before it would start working again. Customer service tries to blame your internet connection even though ALL of my other streaming services work just fine! AMAZON OFFERS MONTHLY PAYMENT OPTIONS NOW! SOOOO MUCH BETTER! AND NETFLIX IS DEFINITELY BETTER! I cancelled my hulu subscription and also got LOTS of family members and friends to do the same! Including my employer! I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND HULU TO ANYONE! There are too many other reasonably priced great streaming services to have to deal with the horrible service from hulu.
There is decent program selection but If you have children there are very inappropriate commercials for children to watch. Would not recommend
I want to see all the Pimple Popper episodes under my streaming live tv plan. You are cheating me from what I am subscribing too.

Started using as a replacement to Sony Vue. Not even close. Sony stopped the Vue service and needed something for all live and local content. A few months of Hulu and I think we will give up live/local content. Not worth the $50/mo. Ads drive you crazy.
I had Hulu for about one year. I cut the cord after being fed up with DirecTV; a great company ruined by AT&T. Hulu turned out to be very buggy, it would freeze up and make the TV completely reboot at least once a day. Also, and this was the most aggravating, even after paying the extra bucks for "commercial free viewing," the programming is full of annoying commercials - even the shows recorded to DVR. Get YouTube TV, there is absolutely no comparison to the quality: the software is solid and, guess what, there are very few, if any, commercials - and I didn't even have to pay extra!
I really wanted to cut the cable. But who is not the way to go. It freezes, loses its audio, loses its connection at every program change. I know it is not my connection or my Internet as nothing like this happens on any other service I have Netflix, prime, Apple TV. Stay away from it
I would much rather watch Netflix. Hulu has way to many adds (it's like watching regular T. V) all the movies and plain and boring or really old movies. The only good thing is the T. V shows but even mist of them suck. The only things I'm even interested in watching are movies or shows that I need to buy a add in for! Like wtf, there is no reason why I should have to buy add one to watch movies on the streaming platform I payed for. I would rather just watch Netflix because 1. No adds 2. Good movies 3. The Netflix originals are most of the time really good, The Hulu originals are the most boring, unfunny, waste of time I've ever seen 4. I don't have to buy add ons to watch more movies
Hulu support is unable to do just about everything, unless it's related to passwords. Purchasing a gift card to prepay went automatically toward a plan I didn't select. I was then unable to change the plan, why?, I'll never know. The support team didn't even understand why that was happening. If support can't help, who really can? I can't even pause my account because of the prepayment. I am allowed to cancel my account, but they still get all the money. I can't stand this streaming service. I've only had it for 1 year after the Black Friday special, and now I'm regretting applying a $50 gift card for which they basically stole and aren't allowing me to use how I choose.
Hulu has raised their monthly fee and I cancelled because they're not worth the extra money. There's only one channel I really watch -- TCM. I'll figure out another way to watch it. When I told their representative I wanted to cancel (the week before the end of that month's subscription), they told me it would be yet another month before it could be cancelled. I don't like being hi-jacked when it comes to my money. They will never get my business again. They have entirely too many "junk" channels for my taste. I'm not that into sports, murder or news.
We only stream. Amazon Prime, Netflix CBS, NBC all stream fine. HULU RARELY WORKS I tried contacting them with zero help. I write this review under my name so no retaliation from them again. BUYER BEWARE
I purchased Hulu commercial free and yet most anything I click on has commercials. When I call to complain they say those programs are "On Demand". There are less and less that are NOT "On Demand". The least they could do is have a category or notation warning me there are commercials before watching it. Reality told, what they are doing is collecting $$ for ad free PLUS getting paid for every commercial they sneak by you. In the potato chip world that's called double dipping! Don't get screwed. On Netflix ANYTHING I click on is commercial free - its not that difficult - they are scamming us at HULU - should be a class action law suit! Youtube Premium here I come!
I do love it for for the few shows I can find. They are absolutely wonderful but they come at a cost; having to sit through not only ads but much "rainbow" show previews and political campaigns against President Trump and their Kids forum has brainwashing shows to turn little children into homosexuals like "Rosaline," Buy the way, Hulu's (one's who debuted and still have this show 3 yrs later) parent controls are essentially zero according to parental reviews on another review site. They have shut down their Contact Us avenue as I have tried multiple ph #s and all are shut down during this step up of political campaigning. I have discovered that paying double to avoid ads does NOT stop the political garbage they are slinging.
I have had Hulu Live for the past two years. Everything was fine, but I started noticing streaming problems in September 2019. I called Hulu several times and they always gave me a different answer. My internet connection was fine and I would have to go watch the football games at my friends house because it was constantly buffering or kicking me off the app. Last week I called a Hulu representative and asked him/her if he/she received a raise with the $10.00 price increase. The representative told me they did not receive a raise. I asked the representative if there were going to be any improvements with the streaming or add more channels. The representative couldn't give me an answer. I canceled my subscription. I now have YouTube TV, it's way better and I don't have any streaming problems. Wish I had Youtube Tv during the football season. Until Hulu gets there s*** together I will be sticking with YouTube Tv.
When you have access to so many other subscription services, there's no point in purchasing Hulu. You buy a membership but you're still hit with so many advertisements and it's already incredibly expensive! 50+ dollars every month? To still see ads? What's the point...
Answer: Not worth it since they updated their interface into an unusable mess. Customer service is awful, stay far away.
Answer: Happened to me. Stay away from hulu. My systems is high speed and works great with YouTube 4k and Netflix 4K HDR. Hulu obviously is bandwidth limited which might work for customers who watch old movies but their technology is not good for 1080P and modern technology.
