Hulu began merging it's authentication and billing system with Disney+ in November 2024. I had two separate accounts and I moved to cancel one account while taking advantage of a promotion on the other account. Logging in with the system was glitchy and inconsistent during this time, but eventually I received a notice of success for the promotion. Later (after these system issues were resolved) it became apparent that the previously inactive account was repeatedly billed at the same time as the other account without authorization. Both accounts received charges at the exact same time. When I called customer service to resolve these issues, the representative hung up the call and Hulu has refused to acknowledge or take accountability for their system.

I have the hulu annual with disney+ add on. Without any notice whatsoever at all they took the disney add on away. I only discovered it when I tried to login to watch disney. I called them and asked them what happened and they had the balls to say they did send emails informing people. Why would I call and say "What's wrong with my account?" if they actually really did inform people that they would be changing the structure of the disney/hulu bundle. So I have to go a year without disney+. If they jack the price up from $12.99 for the bundle by the time my gift card runs out they will lose my household as a customer. I had no qualms doing this when netflix wanted to play greed games. If they don't care about screwing customers I sure as hell don't want to give them anymore of my money. They did it to themselves.
TERRIBLE STREAMING SERVICE. You lose connection to the videos or they have glitches that stop the video and lose your place. Then you have to watch ads to find AND get back to where you were. There's just SO many small annoying glitches you wouldn't expect from a MULTI-BILLION dollar company! Only reason not a 1 star, there are a lot of decent movies, but realistically there are other streaming services with just as good if not better options depending on what you're looking for.
They make their commercials loud enough to wake the dead. Clearly a tone deaf jerk marketing move. These people deserve to be throw off a cliff for how much they increase the volume on commercials. Basically they are grade D con people. Making me mute a commercial and hate a product is not good marketing you turds. Go catch on fire.
We switched from Direct TV to Hulu for cost reasons. It takes a bit to adapt to HULU functionality. Clicking around within the site is not smooth, they should work on that. There is what they call a dvr... it; s not. You can record programs but cannot easily start at the beginning... sometimes not at all... NEEDS to be better. We opted for no commercials ($6 per month) Most shows still have commercials... some (very few) have none and some requires and annoying clicking game to skip ads. Will likely drop this. If there is a better way ie dvr, commercials

For a paid service, there are WAY too many commercials. Every 5 minutes there are 60 to 90 seconds of commercials. I can't even keep up with the story with so many interruptions. I am going to write this review on every review site I can find.
The past four months I've been watching Hulu. I've been having the problem of it constantly buffering and shutting down saying they're having trouble shooting. And kicking me completely off and having to go all the way back onto Hulu and start over again. Hulu is beginning to suck.
Hulu will charge you if you don't want to watch ads and then still run them! Don't bother to pay extra for no ads because they claim that certain "stations" have the right to run ads and they cannot do anything about it. Ridiculous! You also cannot fast forward through ads if you're watching something on demand.
I watch hulu all the time and I'm now going to cancel because of their left wing political pushing. If I wanted to see ads for Biden I would watch CNN. I pay for this service and I don't want to see political crap shoved down our throats. I don't care who they vote for and I'll be damned if I want to hear them push who I should vote for. I pay so shut up
Can't cancel when you want to, I have tried three times to cancel this service, each time they inform me I never did cancel. Stay away from this service unless you want it forever.
We all really like Hulu and watch it almost every day. Good original shows and others. I do like the news programs a lot and a lot of the tv series. However, not much lately because we can't even find most shows since they switched the format. VERY difficult to use. NOT user friendly. I realize no new shows because of pandemic. BUT it would be nice to get some new things from old things that were shown from recent years. Tired of re watching series for the second or third times and most movies are too tiresome/boring/stupid to watch at all. It could be that we just can't find them with this format.
I love Hulu A lot! And people that are posting bad reviews are the same one that is not making any sense. And a funny thing happened to me using Hulu. One of my Favorite shows said "exp_" and I wasn't freaking out until I keep seeing it every day. So I searched " what does it mean when a show says expire next to it" and it said that means they are taking the showdown. I was so sad. And I didn't finish all the episodes but I really watch all the episodes as soon as I read the Hulu expire thing. And yesterday the "exp disappeared";-;
Why can't consumers get LIVE TV PLUS a Streaming service? You EITHER get a streaming service like Netflix or LIVE TV from a Comcast... it is NOT technologically difficult to merge the experiences

1 time a week I have to re-install the Apple TV Firmware to reset the out of sync audio/video on Hulu
There is NO time-based TV schedule like the last 40 years of cable TV. Boneheads at Hulu think their app is better at deciding for me what I want... guess what, your app is as damn boneheaded as the execs are!

Hulu was founded back in 2007 also makes original content, such as Netflix and Amazon. But they backs between the shows are getting irritated

The app on my tv quit and would not reopen. I attempted, several times, to contact customer service, but I was repeatedly hung up on and sent to survey. Anyplace that thinks this is acceptable doesn't deserve to be in business.
I have two issues with a Hulu that relate to their use of advertising. There are so many MANY ads. You have to sit through four ads before you can start watching. Then there are two breaks and at least one of them features three ads. The commercial breaks often disrupt a show - they definitely need to work on the way they cut to commercials so it's smoother.
The second issue is the volume of the ads is so much louder than the show I'm watching. I constantly have to mute the tv during ads because it's just blaring. When I turn the volume of ads down, I cannot fully hear the shows. Because of these issues I am dropping Hulu and getting Sling.
I switched of Hulu over ATTTV Now streaming service and regret switching over. Hulu does not offer any of the black channels like BET or OWN. I called to voice my concern asked to speak with a manager and was basically told there nothing they can do. I was looking for more... they could at the very least said there working on getting these channels but nothing. Customer service is a joke and the service is constantly buffering. Definitely do not recommend Hulu and the new update sucks as well.
There are so many new streaming video sites, like IPTV and about 10 others that cost next to nothing and offer a much-improved viewing experience. The loud commercials are gone and the $80. A month payment Do research and change
Started with Hulu (no ads) and was pleased. Added "live TV" and shows that previously didn't have ads now had ads. Most shows have ads with this bundle. I know, makes no sense. Their excuse is that "on demand" shows are added and these have ads. They directed me to a link of Hulu's lineup presumably without ads and the first show I clicked started with an ad. The bundle is a scam designed to trick you into watching as many ads as possible. DO NOT PURCHASE this bundle if you don't want ads.
You basically pay for commercials. Even if you record you have to sit through commercials and a LOT of them! You have less commercials with regular tv!
