No contact. When I tried to reach a supervisor, the contact I did have ( not supervisor) told me time was expired at 24 hours, contact for bidding says 48, told me bid was rejected due to us no signing long before 48 hours, said I wanted to speak to supervisor, no contact, dont answer phones, cant get an answer, wont allow inspection required to allow the loan, then charge me 1 k to bid anyways, house relists every few weeks due to these issues, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! TOTAL SCAM!
I have bid and won over 20 properties only to be told that my bid was not enough and the properties has to be re listed, in many instances the properties are reposted for less than my winning bid some times over 10,000 less, Hubzu has no control over sellers and need to shut down the websites, and get out of the business or take control of their sellers
Hi Racquel,
We are sorry your experience during the auction did not meet your expectations. A Hubzu bidder may think they have won the right to purchase the property because they have the highest bid. This is not always the case. Reserve price is one factor that may prevent the highest bidder from winning the property. A reserve price is the minimum the seller is willing to accept for the property in an auction. If a bidder disagrees with the reserve, we encourage the bidder to still bid on the property for what they would be willing to pay. Because if an auction ends without the reserve price being met, and no selected bidder is declared a winner, then the seller reserves the right to accept a lower bid, negotiate with a bidder, or propose new terms to the bidders. It is important to note, it is also the sellers right to simply relist the property for auction again.
If there is anything else we can do to provide you with more information regarding auctions or assist you in future properties, please don’t hesitate to contact us at [email protected] with your contact information and specific property details or Hubzu Customer Care at 855-882-1314. We thank you for the opportunity to respond to your concerns and hope to meet your expectations in the future.

They stole money out of my account. You have to register and pay $1k in order to bid on the property. I won a bid on a home. But I had to cancel the contract due to the fact that the home had unauthorized work done to the roof. Hubzu couldn't tell me who authorized or did the work. The pictures on the website do not represent the actual status of the home. When I won the bid this roof work had not been done. This roof damage was over $30k. So my buyer canceled the purchase and Hubzu would not return my bid deposit. They actually took it right out of my account without my consent or knowledge. I am still fighting with them to get it back.

Notice was sent I was the highest bidder, three days later of offer being rejected by seller. Not great business practices.
No disclosure of murder which occurred at subject property. What a scam..

We won our bid on Hubzu after they put a $1000 hold on our credit card. Their contract says when you pay your earnest money your hold will be taken off. They never switched contract dates as we asked. We needed a code to go see the property, this had to be sent to our Realtor. So after weeks of asking for it, we never got it. The contract dates were never changed. We didn't sign the contract because they couldn't seem to do anything on their side of the contract. They just kept sending us the same contract that they never changed, 3 times a day and never gave the Realtor any code so we would see the property.
A month later and they didn't return our money to our card. They took off the hold and actually charged us for their inept, stupid process. I have filed a complaint with them, and disputed the credit card charge. I will be going to the BBB and attorney general next.
They will respond with the same copy and paste message that they have for everyone else. I will keep reporting and leaving bad reviews until they put my money back

When you see something that doesn't look right... RUN! We started bidding on a home. We were 1 of 2 bidders, then a 3rd bidder jumps in named "M. O." This person starts bidding and over bidding himself FOUR TIMES in the same day, upping his bid to 16k more than his first bid. We knew right away something wasn't right. We would never do business with this site. Something very shady going on.

Do not pay 1000 dollars for the " bump runaround" ask around your realtor knows! Awful crooks! Won the auction which was fishy and then they bump you, saying we were in error.

Beware of this company. I have also filed a complaint with FANNIE MAE. This company is as inept it's neglectful. They are extremely difficult to contact, no one know anything or can do anything to resolve issues. It's simple Hubzu took a $500 deposit to place a bid on a property. I won the auction, the $500 was never transferred to the closing. I have been asking for a refund that no one is able or willing to provide. I am filing a complaint with Georgia Attorney Generals office.

I was informed on Tuesday evening that my client was awarded contract via back-up offer. As requested by Hubzu, I entered the contact information yesterday around 4:15. As I started entering the information, an Hubzu agent whom I had spoken with earlier as well, called and asked if I needed an extension. I told her that I was presently entering the information but sure give us the extension just in case. Then she told me to stop entering because the link I was using is no longer going to be valid. I explained that I had entered through the Website, not the link and she said in that case, I should be OK to continue entering the requested information. And can even recall that the last screen before clicking the submit button said to make sure all the information is correct because I will not be able to change it later. All was good and I submitted it and got confirmation on the screen that it had been submitted.
So then I wake up the next morning to an email stating that we were no longer eligible for the property. And not only that, I was not even able to locate the property on the Hubzu site. (Huuuum?) So this matches a lot of the complaints that I've read about Hubzu and am very disappointed. Seems that someone else might have presented a higher back-up offer and instead of honoring what was communicated to us, you went with another offer.

I am a real estate agent and my buyer wanted to bid on a property in Euclid Oh on Upper Valley Dr. We put in our bid several times and he won the highest bid. Although he won the highest bid they did not honor his bid. This happened several times. They just re listed the property... why when buyer offered almost the reserve price? I tried contacting the listing agent over 22 times only to have him not return my calls. When i called the customer service number no one ever answers... you will be on hold FOREVER! The home was just re listed today and I will advise my clients to never do business with this company! The house has now been sitting empty for so long that it most likely has/will be vandalized! I have heard similar nightmare stories from other agents. The 5 stars reviews are fake and written by them.

It's amazing the stuff this company gets away with the list incorrect information to get the building up and when you tell them about it they don't correct The information. Examples of right now they have 4to 25 Enterprise Rd., Lexington, NC listed as a three bedroom two bath it's actually a three bedroom 1 1/2 bath which is a pretty big deal and they will not correct it they just signal or the information also they reset the clock when you're winning bidder, Right before the auction ends they restart Clock they do it all the time see other reviews it's common practice with them even when you were declared the winning better you never hear a word back from them and they'll just restart the auction the next day..
Hi Donald,
We are sorry that you were not able to acquire the property you were bidding on. Regarding your first question, we have forwarded your concern to the appropriate department for assistance. Regarding your second question, a Hubzu bidder may think they have won the right to purchase the property because they have the highest bid. It is important to note, it is also the sellers right to simply relist the property for auction again.

Nothing but a greedy, ignorant, rude, immoral, and unethical company looking out for nothing more than a few extra red cents. I would NEVER go through this company again. We had come out as the highest bid as the auction closed nearly an hour later than the anticipated closing time. Only to find out the next day that the auction was reopened to not just the top two but ALL participants to see who would bid even higher. If you clearly win a bid why open it up again the next day? Why waste the bidders time in saying that the auction is closed but it reopens the next day? GREED! This company should be ashamed of themselves. Would NEVER recommend and would advise others to STAY AWAY!

Answer: Hi, A reserve is the price set by the seller indicating the lowest price the seller might accept for a property. The Seller's reserve is not disclosed during the auction and once reserve is met, bidding continues through the end on the bidding period. At the end of the auction, all bids and bid components such as financing type and requested closing date are subject for the seller's approval. The seller is not obligated to accept a bid and reserves the right to refuse a bid even if the reserve price is met. To learn more about the reserve and bidding process, you may visit our FAQs at https://www.hubzu.com/portal/support. Thanks Altisource Customer Advocacy Team
Answer: DON'T THIS IS A SCAM SITE! YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR HOME AND ALL YOUR MONEY
Answer: Hi Clifford, We appreciate your interest on Hubzu. We also apologize for the late response. The starting bid amount is set by the seller prior to the auction period. This is normally a percentage, but definitely lower than the seller's reserve price. The reserve is the undisclosed amount that seller has in mind to sell the property for. It is not shown to bidders but it will be indicated on the property page if the reserve is met. Please keep in mind that the bid amount that can be submitted online may not be lower than what is currently indicated on the listing whether it is the "starting bid amount" or the "current highest bid amount". Should you need further assistance or need more information regarding auctions and how it works, please don't hesitate to contact us at [email protected] with your contact information and specific property details or Hubzu Customer Care at 855-882-1314.
