Deposit Refund or NOT
March 16, 2018

It has now been 11 business days since I bid unsuccessfully on a Hubzu listing. My $1,000 deposit has yet to be refunded in spite of numerous attempt via the "on line Chat" which of course if useless. While I am confident I will eventually receive my refund it should not be this hard. Obviously floating money is a profit center for Hubzu. Why else can I return a $10 item at Target and have my account credited the same day but a Hubzu refund takes an act of Congress.

On there website the auctions rule is made for them. You think you can win the bidding easily fairly is never true. They will extend 15 min after you win the bid to allow more competition happen to maximum there interest. And after you won the bid, they will still play trick on you. I complete there request of updating information and summit it. It ended up they never received and asking you to:
Hi xxxxxxx

We're sorry you were unable to enter the contact details required to process your offer
Please note that the seller will no longer consider your offer. The seller is considering other offers and may decide to relist the property.

If you are still interested in this property, click here to place a backup offer.

Think about it. You won the bid and updated the info and they still want you to place a backup offer. What idea is that?

The person on the phone Hershey was so nice so helpful and just an all around normal person that really cared about u she took the time to answer all my questions and concerns I am not just an agent I'm also the person buying it for myself I am a hurricane sandy victim that lost everything but Hershey made me feel like there is a light thru that very dark tunnel that I have not seen in 6 long years I would love to be an agent to represent this company

Dealing with Hubz for the first time today and reaching Jace in Customer Service/Tech Dept was a wonderful surprise. Not only was she polite, patient, informative and professional; she provided me every ounce of information necessary, even anticipating issues that may come up, which would had required another call to resolve, therefore saving me the time and frustration. My additional questions were met with very polite, clear and precise answers. In a world when so many do the minimum in their jobs just to get by, dealing with Jace reminded me that geniune & professional work ethics still exist. A rarity.

How anyone would engage in online auctions for home-buying is beyond me.
I see how it can only benefit the seller or dishonest Seller's agent.

Material defects are not disclosed because most of these properties are distressed foreclosures & eventhough the law stipulates disclosure, there are so many layers involved, the seller, agent, bank & hubzu, there is too much room for deception.

Also, I heard that agents are submitting offers on their own listing, to make the back-up bids go higher, then retracting their bogus offers & effectively raising the price of the property.

Its too murky a model & I will not be engaging in business with them ever again.
And yes, its true... their customer service is not only from a 3rd world country, they conduct themselves as such too!

Dishonest - Very poor customer service - They set reserve prices with absolutely No Intent of selling the house at that price. They place ghost bids on properties to run up the price, They intentionally stall and cause delays so they can charge You huge fees when the sale does not settle on time. Customer service reps seem to be in place just for the illusion of a legitimate business, and they all sound as if they are off-shore, difficult to understand, and have absolutely No knowledge of what is going on. How are these people still in business?

Great site, very helpful

My experience was only positive. They work hard to keep you informed. There are delays in the process but these obstacles are not the fault of Hubzu - they are just as anxious to make a sale as any real estate agent. They always get back to you and, in my experience, will provide as much information as they can.

Easy to get through when calling the support line. CSRs are knowledgeable and fast to address questions/concerns. If you are in need of support I suggest calling the support line. I did not have a good experience at all using the Chat function. Waste of my time really.

Hubzu no good

I made the bet on the house and I was the highest bidder someone was able to get the house not being part of the auction. I was addressing the issue so many times calling but they were not taking that seriously. I wrote some review for one person before and made it look good but that was only for that person. But I don't have anything good to say about hubzu and people working for hubzu, they didn't want to listen to my complaints and didn't do nothing about my complaints. Dishonest
January 23, 2018

I was the highest bidder. My bid was over $30,000 above the reserve. My bid was rejected and the property is being relisted. What's the point of a reserve, if you aren't going to honor it. I have been told that if it is being auctioned by Hubzu, then they own it, but they hide behind "the seller rejected your bid", with no explanation. There were some last minute bidders that bid once almost an hour after the bid was supposed to close. What a scam!

Hubzu is awful!

I would not ever recommend Hubzu to anyone. They have no idea what they are doing, very incompetent. It took me almost two years to close on one piece of property, which because of their laziness and incompetence it cost me around $12,000, that was literally thrown away. If they are involved WALK AWAY, no RUN. TRUST ME. I didnt listen to my gut feeling or all the negative reviews. So I have no one to blame but myself. HUBZU 2 thumbs down. Oh yeah, the companies are based out of Atlanta, GA. But all your calls no matter which sister company you try to contact, it all goes to India. Stay away from these companies; Hubzu, Altisource, Orlans Legal Group, Ocwen Financial Corporation, and if I do recall there is a few more.

Terrible business they have here. I tried bidding on a cash only house. No bids for over 30 hours last 15 minutes within 2 bids it sky-rocketed to the conveniently over priced reserve. This is a such a scam dont waste your time with this site
