I was locked out of my website yesterday and I do not know why. I was asked to change my my password and entered the same one I had before and Host Gator accepted it. I find this strange. I have tried to set up an additional domain name for a new website that I am creating. I was charged the fee for the 2-year plan but now when I try to access it gator.com is showing it as not registered. I reached out to customer service/ tech support and was told it should be updated in 24 hours, but that has not happened either.
