I to ordered a phone from this company.the phone they sent did not work. I returned phone to them and despite getting the odd e mail asking the same questions about it and getting one saying they would send a replacement i still havent received phone or my money back. They are conmen and should be taken off the internet and charged with fraud.if anybody knows how to get money back please post it here. Thanks.

Unhelpful response from the outset
June 10, 2014

Unhelpful response from the outset. Failed to answer polite emails requesting the correct part number to assist me to order a part. If I had this much poor service before actually buying anything, what sort of service could I have expected after the sale? I wanted the part - but not badly enough to buy it from this lot.

These conmen are coining in money on the pretext that they have not received the incorrect item they send you in the first place!
I should have read the very poor reviews where this is their usual trick!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THESE IDIOTS!

Wish I'd found these reviews before using these cowboys.

Granted, it was probably my mistake to assume that a phone handset would come with charging station, but fair enough I ordered one. But to not include the battery cover?

I was able to check that the handset worked with charged batteries, but there was a long delay before I placed the handset on a charging station (because I was nearly 200 miles away). That's when I found that the handset wouldn't charge.

OK so I'm out of 'warranty', but do they care? No. Nothing they can do (so lee says), he then tries to tell me that he's tied by BT to the warranty period. Utter bull$#*!.

Any decent company finding that it had sold shoddy goods would do something to sort it out regardless.

The product provided did not work and this is the response from Lee
"im not sending item out free of charge, if you dont like it tough. The terms are set on the website and are not for haggling".

Be warned they are not into reasonable Customer Service!

My advice "don't use these cowboys"
September 18, 2013

My advice "don't use these cowboys". The goods they supply are of a very low quality or just don't work. Wish I'd seen the reviews posted here first.

This company should be avoided at all costs! They are complete conmen that send out products that are not even fit for a boot sale and when you return them at your cost they claim not to have received them back and hold onto your money!

If you use this company you may just as well throw your money down the drain. The guy behind this seems to be called Lee and if you complain he will just reply with a torrent of abuse and claim not to have received your goods back.

The sad thing is that although they have been banned eBay, PayPal still enable them to them to use their system to run this completely scam business where they tell you to get "proof of postage" and when you try to claim through PayPal PayPal refuses to help because you have simply done what they wanted and that is not send by Registered Post.

Don't be fooled by thinking Registered Post will help you either, there are other posts here and explain that completely rip-off company even ignores received signatures and still claims not to have your goods returned!

They will go bust very very shortly but in the meantime Avoid at all cost!

Trading standards are aware of these people, your best chance of getting any money back is if you paid by credit card ring them immediately and ask for Charge Back.

Whilst the Homephonesonline website says that they specialise in selling
Discontinued and refurbished telecommunication products directly to the valued customer, at the lowest prices possible, they do not tell you what the condition is or whether there are missing parts for each item they sell. So you have no idea what you are buying. Indeed they might be selling a new product (which is what I had assumed since there was no warning against the product that I bought that it was previously sold by Comet and that it was missing a User Guide!).
When I raised a complaint with them pointing out exactly what the website said (and more pareticularly did not say), I got a rude response back.
If that is what they call being a valued customer, then I am amazed that anyone buys from them.
I would have liked a clear indication against the product that I was going to buy exactly what its condition was i. E. not new, in damaged box and missing xxx etc.

Please do not even think of using this Company
I bought some phones here and when they eventually arrived after 2 weeks the phones were so battered and old they looked like they were 10 years old (I thinks that's what end of line means), the box that they sent them in still had the Ebay item number on it which says to me that's where they buy them from and then sell them on after throwing in some new rechargeable batteries which is what the "refurbished" means. When I e-mailed them the reply I received was "All our phones are pre-owned". When I said this wasn't on his website his reply was "Admit you made a mistake and man up".
If there is any plus point about this person is I got my money back except for over £10 that I spent on P&P.
I made the mistake of giving this person the benefit of the doubt, if you read this review I suggest you either get them cheaper by cutting out the middle man and buying from Ebay or using a real company and getting some decent standard new phones.

Homephonesonline are as bad as it gets. Sent faulty junk, which I returned signature on delivery. Then they claimed they never received the return and became abusive, despite the delivery receipt which had a company director's signature on it! I was polite throughout, should have gone to small claims but life is too short. Just don't buy here.

Homephonesonline.co.uk were advertising a carer phone including pendant, I ordered two, but when they arrived there were no pendants - various emails and letters did not get them to send the pendants and so I purchased the pendants from Amazon and reported homephonesonline.co.uk to Trading Standards. I considered taking them to the small claims court but life is to short to waste on companies like these.

I won't be using them again and suggest that you don't either.

Avoid this website at all costs
June 9, 2009

Avoid this website at all costs. I have had to resort to the small claims court for a refund. I received nothing but abusive and unhelpful emails after an item I purchased was not delivered. They also previousy supplied me with faulty goods and then claimed they never received them when I returned the goods. Avoid at all costs!
