I find the blades to be the sharpest i have used and at the same time i have never cut myself using them. The home delivery is super convenient.
My boyfriend and I tried out a few mail order razor brands, compared quality and prices, and Harry's came up in the lead. They're the go-to for us both now! (Though the frequency of deliveries is a reminder that we ought to be shaving more...)

Who mail mails out a product that is obviously defective? Harry's, thats who. Damage obviously didn't occur in shipping as the broken lid had been sloppily taped back on.

With my job I shave daily. I finally gave Harry's a try. It felt like shaving with a disposal dollar razor. My face was bleeding in four places. I would not use a Harry's razor to shave a rhinoceroses butt if it was made from titanium. I don't even know what to do with the set and extra new blade. I would feel guilty donating to a homeless shelter. I know! I will give it to some one I don't like.

Bought Harry's and thought it was going to compare with my Gillette razors... it was a real disappointment... Gillette very rarely gave any nicks... Harry's left nicks all over like a road map... there it away after four days... Never again

Tried Harry's razor and like the shave but the cartridge has soft hinges which wear out quickly. I get a month of shaves easily out of a Gillette cartridge whereas Harry's hinges are gone within 2 to 3 weeks. Blades still sharp but the blades just flop around without the hinges. Might go back to Harry's if they correct the hinge design problem.

Ok, so it's been about 2 years since my last review on their blades. The good news is I can now purchase them at Walmart so don't have to order them online... but sill can if I wish. No bad news to report. All the blades seem to be working as designed and haven't cut my face up like some other blades have. Once note though, I don't use shaving cream to shave with... Not even Harry's. I use butter soap which in my case works the best.
For those having issues, like stubble left behind, I hate to say it but you're shaving incorrectly. Even though some say you should never go the opposite way, that's the only way I can shave and get a smooth shave even with other blades like Gillette. The issue I have with G was, no matter what I did the blade cut up my face. Went back to Harry's after they updated their blades and no more cuts.
And like I said before, no, I don't work for Harry's for they really can't afford me. Really...
Here is my long overdue review update. After getting the new blades I started to test them right away. They were sharp and after many many shaves, using 6 of the 8, I found them to be of good quality and design (better then the last ones I had). I shave 6 days a week so each lasted about 6 shaves which was very good. I do shave different then most. For the first couple of shaves I go against the grain which is very hard on your face. But my beard grows in every possible direction so to get a clean shave I have to shave against the grain. But at the end of the week I shave with the grain which is not as clean. Such is life...
In the end I would have to say Harry's blades are no worse than the competition but cost less. I believe they are better in design. For those who are having issues I say to you, there is no such thing as perfect. If the blades don't fit you then change to something that does. Harry's is a young company and they do make mistakes. They made one with me but they corrected it after I hit them over the head a few times. But they got it, or at least I hope they did. The customer is NOT always right but you still must listen to them. I got my money back for the last order and they sent me 8 blades for free.
After finding a bent blade in one of the competitions blade packs, I wont say their name but it starts with a G, they ignored my complaints. They wouldn't even talk to me. Harry's did. Sometimes it's customer service that keeps a customer. Sometimes it's a great produce. It's very cool when it's both.
If something better comes alone, I might take a look but for now I'm staying with Harry's. And by the way, no, I don't work for them. They couldn't afford me :).
Here is my update... I talked to a few customer service people and someone Karen decided to refund my last order. Ok. They did after sending them a few provate messages. I then received an email saying my order has been process and will ship shortly. Even though I didn't order any new blades, someone at the company decided to take me up on the offer I stated. "What I would really like is for you to send me an 8 pack free of charge, not money. I'm willing to give your company another shot but the first step must be yours.". They responded: "No problem. In lieu of the refund, we've sent you a replacement pack instead. You'll see that soon. Enjoy!". So I received 8 new blades, took about 2 weeks to get them, and they also refunded my last order.
My only question to them would be: Does the right hand know what the left hand is doing?... But then again, thanks for the refund and the 8 new blades.

After emailing Harry's, the person that answered me didn't bother to read my email in full. Their answer was stupid to say the least.
They lost a good customer because all they said, like on here, they will send it to R&D. Nothing for the customer... all for them.
When I decided to end it with Gillette, both Harrys and DSC were suggested. I eventually subscribed to Harry's and they do not disappoint. The blades are great and the design of the whole razor really works. The shave gel is quite nice. It's a great value.
Every year, around Christmas, my husband puts on his list Harry's razors. He loves them so much and uses them all the time. My experience with Harry's.com has been rather pleasant. They have wonderful deals, I find it's worth the price they are asking, and the shipping is rather fast. They make lady razors too, definitely worth a shot!

I decided to try the razor out as it was on sale at Target. I picked up the razor and 24 cartridges. I regretted buying so many blades as I have to use them up before going back to Gillette. I will never leave Gillette again. It is by far the best razor and best blades. The cost is high but I now realize it is fully worth it. I can never get a close shave with Harrys. I waste precious time going over and over the same areas and still have stubble. This never happened with Gillette. The blades also become dull after just a few shaves and must be replaced often. The grey pieces of plastic that allow the blade to pivot break. This has occurred numerous times resulting in nasty, deep cuts. The handle itself is of sub quality and does not have the weight or balance of a Gillette. Also the mechanism that locks the blade into the handle can and does become lose- leading to more cuts and accidents. I literally have had better shaves with disposable razors, which is a really sad statement. Don't fall for the con of 2 young entrepreneurs creating a better, cheaper shave product- it's all just a marketing gimmick for a bad product.

I bought the special sample offer that came with the razor and gel. It was for my husband who only shaves every 3 or 4 days because he has sensitive skin and always bleeds when shaving. He has used the razor/gel a few times now and he really likes the razor. And he really likes the gel. He said it is the best he has used. I just ordered more gel.
I feel so bad for folks who still buy razors at the drugstore, like I used to do. Harry's has a no-brainer value proposition. I finally got my partner to try them, too.
I've used Harry's before and never had issues, but this last time, I placed an order on 3/16 with an estimated delivery window of 3/25 - 3/28. That delivery window has passed, but still no delivery. For 10 days, shipping information says that USPS is awaiting receipt of the package. I've contacted CS several times, and the only response I've gotten was simply a link to tracking information. The CS rep never bothered to read my email or respond to my question. As of now, I'm out nearly $50 but have nothing to show for it and no other way to contact Harry's about it other than sending an email that gets ignored. Will not be ordering from them again.

I'm a barber in my 51st year and I know shaving and razors of all kinds! I remember a few years ago when multi blade razors were introduced, fantastic! Some are better than others but for the most part a huge improvement over the double edge.
I ordered the Harry's intro with included shave gel. Ok I'll cut to the chase the shave gel is great! When I used Harry's blade I felt razor burn for the first time in years! I was surprised.The bottom line is I can't recommend Harry's razors at any cost, very uncomfortable save! The reason for the 1 star is the shave gel. Thanks

I wear a full beard and shaved head. I am mixed ethnicity, with a thicker than average, curly beard. Harry's has a "not for head shaving" disclaimer at purchase. I read some pretty horrific reviews about that, but decided to buy the sampler and risk cutting ribbons out of my head anyway. Hell, I'm a former paratrooper! I ain't scared!
You all know how to shave, so I won't go into the prep much.
I used their shave gel for my face, and it was ok. The blades seemed to ignore a lot of hairs while I was lining up my beard. Weird. Never saw that before. Rating 3 of 5. Very average. The detail trimmer on top was next to useless for me.
Used Aveeno shave gel on my head. And began to tentatively shave my noggin. For that part, I'd give these razors 5 of 5. In nearly 30 years of doing this, I have never had a better head shave. No pressure on the blade, and needed minimal passes. Very impressive.
Clean up was a breeze. The blades cleaned up quickly and completely with half the usual blade rinsing. 5 of 5.
The after shave balm was nice. No burn, light, pleasant fragrance.
I guess no one solution works for everyone. I'm going to continue my subscription for now, and try some other products. Hard pass on shave gel, though.
As another poster said, shipping of my sample took nearly 3 weeks. That sucked, but I'm happy that the blade worked better than most.
Love the shaver and blades, but hate the shipping.
I ordered my shaver and blades on February 25th, 2019, but didn't get them until March 11th, 2019.
The shipping label shows it was shipped from Nevada and being that I'm only one state away, I feel I should have received my order a lot sooner.
Other than the extended time in delivery, I am happy with my purchase.

Answer: Great question, Tony! Blade lifespan will definitely vary a bit based on your particular hair type, shave schedule, and blade care habits. While there's no exact standard for how long a cartridge will last you, we find that the average person likes to replace blades every 6-8 shaves. The idea is that our blades are durable and will last a long time, at a great price.
Answer: The new blades are not as smooth as the old ones and you cannot buy the old ones anymore.
Answer: Absolutely! There are lots of women who use our razors so we'd definitely encourage you to give them a try.
Answer: I had a problem with that when I first got them and found out that I wasn't pusing them on the handle far enough. Also if you hold too close to the blade and choke up on the handle too much your fingers tend to push the blades off. When I held back further on the handles... no worries. Since I changed those two things, I don't have that problem.
Answer: Because when they changed the design of the blade by adding the trimmer, the blade lost its smooth shaving quality, life of the blade and no burn feeling. Now it burns after the shave, blade does not last that long and all you are left with is a cheap blade. If they bring back there 1st generation blades back, I will be the first one to buy them and give back my business to Harry's for LIFE!
