About a month ago I bought a 16 piece Green Pan set of Rio ceramic nonstick turquoise pans. I loved them and thought i was all set and threw away the box! After the first time I used them the metal guard around the base of the handles (between pan and handle) started getting so hot that the handles began melting, bubbling and turning black. I even tried moving the pan so the heating element was as far away from the handle as possible, and no dice. The smell from the toxins are awful 😖 I contacted the company and they said that's "normal"(the smell and discoloration) and they won't honor any warranty.
I am in my 50s, have been cooking for years, and I have never seen anything like this before. Buying these pans from a company that doesn't back there products is a big let down!
