Even when I tell it to "dismiss" a suggestion it will often pop up later. Finally, the program tends to vacillate between hyphenating certain words and then suggesting to take the hyphen out. If you'd like to turn off Grammarly in a particular application, please click on the floating Grammarly widget and then select the gear icon to open the application settings. You will have the option to turn Grammarly off for 30 minutes or permanently.
