The experience so far has been easygoing. Grammarly has made writing not just faster but convenient and I need not worry about missing out on any blunder whatsoever in my written texts with Grammarly at my disposal, be it for a formal email or a client content draft. And its tone detector makes the experience even better, helping me realize the pitch and tone of my writing so I am in control of what message is conveyed and how it will be received by the receiver.

There is a limitation of 150,000 ***characters*** if using Word on a Mac. Even for the paid version. Having to copy and paste a document in sections in order to find errors, then go back to the original to manually correct, takes me 3 to 4 times longer than if I could use Grammarly directly on the original document. It wastes time, and they expect you to pay for the privilege. All I got from support was, at first, I could have 150,000 words. Their customer service doesn't even understand. Then, after persisting, I was told it would be passed on to IT development. It's ridiculous. Grammarly is a good product, however, discriminating against people who use Word on a Mac is disgraceful. I have paid for Microsoft 365, yet am still restricted.

DON"T DO IT!
I installed Grammarly as an add-on to Google docs where I have been writing a book. It had trouble reloading because of my file size and I had trouble saving my edits. I tried working with it for two days.
After uninstalling the Grammarly add-on, Google Docs was still behaving as if Grammarly was still installed. I uninstalled Google Docs and reinstalled. Things are really jacked up now. When editing the document I created it treats me as a guest. I have to go back and approve my own changes! I cant find my tool bars, everything is gone! Its a mess! Luckily the actual information is still intact but my workspace is all f**ked up.

I have to say that this Grammarly tool is really helpful. As a rule, I don't typically need help with grammar, but it is really good at picking up small, little errors that I will overlook at times!
So, yes, it's very useful; it reminds me of - and this is going to date me - "Gazoo," Freddie Flinstones little helper from outer space - you remember the little guy?!
Haven't thought of the little animation character in 25-plus yrs., but Grammarly, like Gazoo, is a welcome little helper that's always there for you, whether you think you'll ever need help or not - because you will at some point!
