It's WAY cheaper to just go to the golf course's site and book. Golf now charges a Convenience fee ON TOP of their 100 a year membership. Its a total scam
I am a Golf Pass Member... decided to try it - this supposedly equals: Waived fees, $250 a year in monthly Hot Deals, cancellation protection, 25% more rewards and more! HUH! THE CANCELLATION PROTECTION IS A SCAM! Booked a threesome, activated the 'share bill with other golfers' button... we will not bill you at this time. I cancelled the tee time within 10 minutes. Received notification from my bank that I was charged $189. Called GolfNow, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE... ' sorry we cannot give you a refund only a credit.' But I am a Golf Pass member, but I cancelled within 10 minutes, but I activated share bill with fellow golfers... etc etc. DOESN'T MATTER - MONEY GRAB! They will not refund your money - TOTAL SCAM!
I have comparing regular prices and "Hot Deals" on GolfNow for a few weeks now. Prices for Hot Deals are typically about $6 cheaper than regular price but then they charge ~$3.50 per person booking fee so if I book for 2 people it is now more expensive. Additionally, payment is due at time of booking without any chance of refund with the exception if inclement weather. All in all it is more expensive to book with GolfNow with less security. Makes no sense.
Booked a Hot Deal tee time. Thought I was getting a great rate. Arrived at course and found out that I could have gotten a lower rate and not paid Golfnow's stupid booking fees. I've been using golf now for years. Since they were purchased by NBC the rates and fees have made it more expensive then booking directly with the course. These so called hot deals are a complete joke.
Requested a cancellation multiple times via email 72 hours before booked tee time, No response, website and call center unable to accommodate.
Appears this will end up in a cc dispute and small claims lawsuit.
Made a hot deal got to course front nine closed for airating back nine was done yesterday and course was cheaper to pay cash can't get a hold of golfnow second time this has happened last time the gave a credit but took three days to contact them
Booked a tee time and 2 minutes later after confirming I found out that my friend got sick with COVD-19. Canceled 4 minutes later and it appeared on my CC that debit will be credited. After checking in a few days so that they charged me and never credited back the amount. I've been a customer of GolfNow since day one, and they always played with their policies witch was always confusing, but been so inconsiderate and not fare... I called them to explain and hoping to resolve the issue. After explaining and giving them a reason I was told that they can't do anything because tee time was not refundable. Even though I was able to do it on their site and received cancellation confirmation. I explained the situation but still received back the same response that there's nothing they can do. I felt like I got trapped and stripped of my hard-earned money. There no human factor involved.
I will never use their services ever again
Worst golf site in the world. They don't provide a function to modify your tee time so you have to cancel and re-book which could be fine, BUT they charge you the convenience fee for the cancelled one too which was $9.96 for my reservation ($20 in total). I had to waste 1 hour talking over the phone and agreed on getting a promo code via email but 1 week has passed and still haven't received it. They are now not receiving calls and they don't provide any other way to contact.
If you use this service don't say you were not warned. If you have a problem and need to resolve it its next to impossible to get it resolved. There is no way you will ever reach a real person. If you do they are not willing to help you. Zero on customer service. They are only there to take your money!
After booking a "hot deal", I contacted the course directly and found MUCH BETTER RATES. The course actually laughed at the rates they had posted. I cancelled my stupid reservation with golfnow and was offer some $20.00 codes that were only good for another "hot deal" from Monday - Thursday! This place is a joke. BUY BEWARE!
Tried to get a refund because of the virus and they refused said they apply a credit to my account but I had to use within 90 days said they would have a supervisor call but no one has called will never use this service again buyer beware!
Booked a tee time on GolfNow and had to cancel due to COVID19. Cancelled more than 24 hours before my tee time and they wouldnt refund my money. After many phone calls they did give me promo codes for future bookings but only good for hot deals after 12 noon, thanks for nothing. TEEOFF.com much easier to work with on the customer service end.
I had a reservation for today but the course was closed for bad weather. I confirmed this through the course manager, Will, yesterday. Will said he could not cancel the reservation but I must I called to cancel and a recording said you could not cancel by phone but must cancel online. I went online and the website did not acknowledge my reservation even though I had a confirmation number from Golf Now. I called back and work my way through their phone system to get to customer service. A recording said there was a 3 hour wait time to speak to a representative. I left message and was called back and was told by the representative that I could not cancel a day ahead of time and would have to call back the next day and was offered no explanation as to why the webpage was not working. I asked to speak to the representative's supervisor and he said I would have to wait 72 hours for a call back and hung up. I honestly do not know how they could have been more annoying or difficult to deal with. I will never use them again and I intend to file a complaint with the Georgia Office of Consumer Affairs and the AG if they do not fully refund my payment.
I didn't expect a refund. Just a credit that could be used on their site. No was the answer. My credit card company has the dispute now.
Made a tee time. Got to the facility - they said they were all booked. You cannot get in touch with anyone at GolNow just recorded messages or 3+ hour waits. Terrible service. I will not use them again.
No refunds of service fee's for being rained out and the course closing due to weather, no follow up from customer service never mind trying to get anyone on the phone... You can get cheaper T times by calling the golf course yourself.
Booked a single for 12:39 only to be told at the course GolfNow called in the morning and changed it to 12:48. I booked that time to play with friends who had 12:39 tee time. I ended up behind them. Never again. Customer service is terrible and they are going downhill as far as I am concerned. What a wasted day and $$.
Had 3 friends fly in to Ft Myers Florida to golf with me. I set up the tee times on Golf Now. 2 days before we are going to golf I get a email that the tee times are canceled. After talking to the course directly they said Golf Now has a history of booking times that are not available. I now use Tee Off or book directly with the course.
Booked a course a week ago. This am Golf Now rep called to inform me that my time slot was double booked and that my foursome wouldn't be able to golf. Alternative tee time offered would have us finishing in the dark. In checking with the course was told that Golf Now double bookings at the course has been going on for over a year. Surely Golf Now would have rectified this by now. My advice is to uses other booking companies.

Answer: Because they got too big for their britches. They think they have such a clientele that the few who will drop off are insignificant. They would not even refund my fees for an accidental booking I made for the wrong day. You are correct, I have been going thru the local websites of the courses themselves. I was a customer for 5 years with about 40 bookings per year, they took away my free fees and the bonuses. I have not booked with them in 4 months.
Answer: Golfnow sent an E-mail to me (Dec) informing me that points must be used by Dec. 31. Ok tried to find a tee time for Sat or Sun because I work M-F. Not one single location available in Tampa, Lakeland and Orlando to book. Having 6600 points that I lose, it seems more notice would have been provided to assist in using valued points (converted $88.20). Nearest course several hours away (Daytona) not happening. Contacted Golfnow and Mr. Joe Babcock of customer service, (oxymoron), had me call 800-767-3574 to get a tee time, what a joke, lady on phone was of no value and promised her supervisor would call back. Hell will freeze first, never again do business with these cons. Thanks, Douglas Roger Sundean
