I was a client back in 2013 and decided to return as I noticed several changes, including Instadates, momentum service and a more thorough vetting process. The interview as well ran over 1 hour - not pushy and plenty of time to discuss all your criteria. I have already been introduced to 7 men, went on 4 dates. Love is probably not in the air... yet! But I feel confident.

I also don't have to spend time on these apps (uhem... Grndr) which consumes so much of my week. I see a lot of value in that. It is a month to month membership which I feel comfortable with as well. I didn't sign up for the coaching but I did elect for the momentum service which provide me feedback from my match and matchmaker which I find useful.

I will update my review after a few more months and introductions.

The coaching is just what the doctor prescribed. I wish it could be every week though, which is my only little negative. Otherwise nothing but praise. The suggestions and tips did help me work through a lot of issues I was facing. My offline approach was lacking so that really changed with the coaching. Most must feel the same problem, in that gay men have a knack of disappearing but I have been able to temper my expectations and move introduction along into something more. Nudge it, don't push as my coach says. With no gay male friends in my life, the sounding board and advice has been invaluable to me. I am appreciative. Even if I am paying for it, thank you in all sincerity. =)

51yo, was married for 18 years to a wonderful woman, 2 kids, newly single and OUT, not into the bar scene or boystown and havent dated a man - EVER. The phone sessions to me were invaluable. Thank you to my fellow Canuck/Greek, Nick... great coach. I feel more confident and comfortable dating as a middle aged man. Its not easy but baby steps. Im a slow learner but Ill get there. Greetings from Hong Kong! I hired a matchmaker just before joining gayquation and was charged (you don't want to know) an exorbitant amount. Gayquation on the contrary is quite reasonable. My matchmaker spoke to me for 1 1/2 hours via Skype. People expect so much from service that are supposed to deliver you men? Haha I am realistic and was pleasantly surprised. It is not easy being out as a Chinese man, even here in more liberalized HK, let alone finding Caucasian men open to dating me. Thank you for the hope.

Took a chance to sign up and felt very scammed. Despite living in a city with a huge gay population it took a very long time to get my first match who promptly didn't return my first e-mail contact. Out of the four people who I was ultimately introduced to, only one even bothered to initially respond via email once.

I so wanted this to be real and work, but somehow over four months they couldn't even find someone to reply to an email despite their "vetting" system. Sadly, I 'd say to stay far away!

I am always baffled at how my friends take the time to write negative reviews but not positive ones.

That being said - kudos to Greg, Nick and Arman, I appreciate your efforts. I know you don't have much to work with when it comes to me haha

We represent only 1% of the world's population so I know your job is not easy. Nor can you play God or wave a magic wand.
Just keep putting me in front of good guys! And to my fellow gay men... have faith. The right man is coming!

This matchmaking service is a waste of time and money. After reading so many positive reviews I had strong hopes that this service was legit. Now having experienced them for myself I can't help but wonder if these positive reviews are fake decoys meant to convince others that this service actually will work for them.

After several months in total I got four matches - two of which weren't even remotely my type, which seems to negate the whole purpose of using a "matchmaker", while the other two matches didn't even respond when I reached out to them. This after the matchmaker told me these guys were interested in meeting me. Fortunately I had the good sense to quit before I got charged for another month. I've had much better luck on other websites and have had multiple coffee dates taking the initiative myself instead of using a third party.

Bottom line - yes, online dating is hard, but you're better off trying to find online dates on your own than using this particular service. You'll save yourself a lot of heartache and quite a few bucks from your wallet.

The Kayak of matchmaking - that is the best way I can describe when friends ask me to. If not sure, start with 2 intros and work your way up to get a grasp of the process and type of guys you will be presented. A senior matchmaker is assigned if you elect for 4 per month. Happy to know there are no contracts. When you see is what you pay with the match guarantee which helps those who "picky" like me and live in a non-metro area. My phone interview, which lasted over an hour, was also very thorough.

Gayqaution and their team are terrific! Unlike some of the other companies, of which I have tried several, they are very fair with their fee. Where others charge more than 10x, they are quite affordable, considering what they offer and the personal attention. I also appreciated there were no contracts so I felt comfortable. Thank you for freeing up a lot of my time, while introducing me to some quality men in my region. I am a busy professional so I do find it difficult to carve away time. Thanks again! --B

I appreciate what my Coach/Matchmaker (Nick) helped me through. I am HIV poz and I live in the Bible belt - and my closet door has not swung all the way open. I also felt like I had bled dry the entire single gay scene, whatever that may be, in my area. He turned up some guys I would not even known had existed before coming to him. Yes I am still a member which means we've not found the love of my life... yet... but I remain hopeful. He discloses my status, makes sure they are ok with it, and I got some dates that helped me learn a lot about myself, what I was looking for and how to improve a first date - like body language, energy, what to look for, etc. Thank you Nick for building my confidence up. I have had the misfortune of using this service in the hope of finding a genuine partner. I was encouraged by their claims that they have a process of screening potential mates and paring you up with a suitable partner based on " a special equation." Unfortunately all their claims proved to be false as again and again I was "introduced" to men who did not at all meet any of my expectations. They just seem to look up people on online sites and apps and "hook them up" with other men. If you are looking for a genuine relationship look elsewhere.

Recommended if you don't want to spend hours on dating apps and with convos that go nowhere. I am tired of Grindr and Tinder - hours with guys that go nowhere. They describe themselves as relationship headhunters. For $50/month it's worth it to me. It saved me a ton of time and energy
