We live in northwest Michigan and get a lot of snow. We have a drain in our garage so the issue is not drainage but containment which this mat does so very well. It really has cut down on the mess and on how much salt/sand we track from the garage into the house.
So far everything has gone smoothly.

Just have to say... Your mat is awesome. I know I told you it was good but it really has been a relief. I have a 1 car garage and live in Buffalo. The snow, sludge for the last few months had made the kids and I miserable. It would soak the garage floor, everything that was in it, and we always had to put boots on just to run into the garage to grab something, track through deep water and then bring it in the house... The mat contains it ALL now and we just know to walk around the mat to get whatever we need. Best part, we can just go in the garage in our socks and also it's not tracked all through the house... Again, love the product, thanks. I have recommended this already to everyone I know that parks in their garage and doesn't have a drain like they should... (which seems no one up here does have a drain in their garage)...

Good description of products. Only problem is being the time of year I bought the product. I installed the ribbed rubber mat a few days after receiving the product. If it was a bit warmer out the mat would probably lie better on floor. I bought one section and had to duct tape one end to the floor. Hard to get the ends to keep from curling up. Otherwise it is a nice product and hopefully the mat will lie better as it warms. No problems with the sides
