The company generally enjoys a positive reputation for its diverse game library and affordable rental options, appealing particularly to those interested in older titles. However, significant concerns arise regarding shipping delays, with many customers reporting lengthy wait times for both receiving and returning games. The customer service experience is frequently criticized, with reports of inadequate support and frustrating communication. Overall, while the service offers valuable opportunities for game trial and rental, persistent issues with shipping efficiency and customer assistance detract from overall satisfaction, suggesting a need for improvement in these areas.

I have been a member for 6 months and so far the games I get are really good quality and they get here fast. Its hard to get the games that are new but if you have nothing else on your list that might replace that then it will get sent out eventually.
I love this site, this has saved me $100s if not thousands of dollars from doing traditional purchases of videos games for my son!
I love this site it provides excellent service, and has a vast selection of games!
The service great never had any problems a little difficult to get new releases, really next to impossible I can usually get the newer ones at my local rental store sooner, but for the older games no problem. Have saved money buy not buying some games that were a waste of plastic. I've even purchased games I've rented.the only problem I've had purchasing is when I purchased straight from the site lost in the mail but did get a refund no problem and they don't send the original case like they say they do if you buy one you've rented, just the ones you buy from the site. Overall not a waste of money very good service if you play games alot
GameFly is good if you're interested in playing older games and not new releases. They carry new release games but it is extremely hard to get your hands on the big name titles. New Call of Duty? Forget it. But you'll find a large selection of games that have been on the shelf for a little.
Overall, great company but if you want new releases try Red Box.
Gamefly is epically awesome! For one low monthly subscription, I can rent video games for any system and play as long as I want. There's even unlimited PC play! They provide me with the return envelopes/postage and the turnaround time til the next game in my que ships is super fast. Great way to maintain your video game budget while still getting to play all the latest n greatest games:-)
Love, love, LOVE GameFly! They have literally saved me thousands of dollars by letting me rent games for as long as I want instead of buying them. They've kept me from purchasing some real stink-a-roos and I've even been able to find some real gems too! Absolutely a wonderful site!
Games delivered fast but some have scratches but they took care of problem
Pretty good, customer service should be improved though. Good selection and a great deal though.
It is definitely the best website to rent games online and pay secondhand games for less than what you find at Gamestop. Rent a game you want, and if you like it, you can keep it for a price listed. They'll send you a cover case that will be coming from the mail. If not, send it back. The little gripe though is the plans are pricy unless you got enough cash left from your checking account, pick the plan you really want. If it's too much for you, downgrade the plan at anytime. It's worth using if you're a gamer. Nothing can beat Gamefly for renting games, period.
They won't show u the cheaper plans once u start your membership. No way to get to the plans they tempted you with. Games slow to arrive too.
I usually get my video games from these guys. The service is top notch..
The game selection and website are fine. My problem was that with shipping and changeover time, I could only play about one game per month. I live in a larger city so getting mail isn't an issue. Apparently if you don't live near one of their shipping centers (i. E. the entire Midwest), it takes two weeks to return a game to them and get another one sent.
GameFly lets users rent games and also buy some games (a very similar concept to Netflix.) GF truly does have a large library of games that I have always wanted to try. I had even bought two games from them as well: Call of Duty: Black Ops (rented first) and Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection (buy only.) The service was great! The only thing that could have been better was the impact it made to my wallet. If Netflix can offer movies and shows at $7-something for one DVD out, Gamefly should be able to offer something similar. After 4 months and two reduced-pricing offers, I cancelled my subscription.
Basically its a Netflix for video games. Great idea and lots of game. Shipping has dramatically improved with more warehouses. I only have two complaints, one is the price. 16$ for one game out at a time per month. A little cheaper would be nice but still cheaper than buying them. The other is that most new games are always out. I have a Queue just like netflix but it usually pulls my 4th or 5th choice games because the others are all rented. Other than that the experience is mostly positive and my kid enjoys getting stuff in the mail too.
Great when you're in a area that gets fast shipping. One time I wasn't getting any of my games, I'm not sure if they were being stolen or what, but I canceled my subscription and every since I rejoined recently I have been receiving all my games within 2 days. Awesome :)
Don't like the whole deal. Too much time to wait for games, some games come scratched and customer service is always overly automated to push you toward website FAQ... "MEH!" is a great word for the service. Service canceled!
With every blockbuster and hollywood video going bankrupt and closing there are not any retail stores renting games anymore. I signed up and they do have a wide selection but the games I really wanted are still in my que. I will update and let you know if I ever get them. Good site
For $60 bucks you can buy a single new game OR you can join this site for 6 months and play as many games as you want in that time period. Best investment I made. I sold my existing games and signed up for this site and everyone in my house is happy.
Answer: Would be nice if gamefly took money orders as another way to pay for renting games..
