We were told that the flowers had been delivered but the florist had tried to deliver them but was unable. Of course, by the time we realized that the flowers were nowhere to be found, the florist was no longer open. However we were able to contact the florist the next day and have them delivered.
So far so good. Recipient very pleased. Hopefully flowers will last a good bit.
