Soo tired of everyone promoting their books. I don't care where or when their book signings are. Now they're also promoting Hannity's movie. Can they just give us the news?
You know journalism is good when it attracts so many haters. We live in irrational times when people abandon reason and react to base instincts.
Convoluted visual mess that is a total pain to navigate through. If the goal is to reduce traffic to your website then mission accomplished. In the meantime would suggest going to BBC or Reuters to check the news.
Your new website is absolutely horrible. Info overload, too busy, user unfriendly, indicative of developers who do not seek user input. CHANGE IT BACK and get some user input.
Good grief, what is it with the New York news media establishment? You folks are SO out of touch! The "old" website worked fine! Sure, a few tweaks now and again don't hurt, but you folks just changed this over to "common core"! Maybe it scrolls better on portable devices or something, but the new site is just plain bad! Horrible to be exact. The content repeats/ duplicates and is inane non news. Your readership- the cubicle rat who flips over to you every few minutes to alleviate workplace insanity has now no reason but to abandon the site for a real news site. Your old format read and worked like a newspaper, this one reads and works like toilet paper.
Advice:
1: Go down the street to the bar where the now laid off 50 something originator of the first site is drowning their sorrows.
2: Get down on your knees and BEG him/her/them to return to Fox at ANY COST and restore the original format.
3: Go back to your office, round up all the pimply faced, hubristic, historically uneducated, millennial, skinny jean Google worshiping Prius driving Twitter pukes you have hired to freshen up your site. Ie., people who think Saturday Night Live has been at all funny in the last 15 years. Take them to the aforementioned bar down the street, and teach them how to drink something stronger than "hard cider". Get them really drunk. Take them to the worst part of town. Take their wallets and phones. Drive away.
4: Hire the ones back who make it in to the office ON TIME the next day. Give them mail room jobs. Minimum wage ( not NY minimum, but Kansas City minimum). Make them work their way up the ladder for years. Then tell them they are no longer relevant and fire them. It builds character.
Results:
1: Your site "eyeballs" will skyrocket, you can write a stupid story about how you saved Foxnews.com by following this plan, and post it on your now worthless Foxnews.com, (two or three times with misspellings and bad redirects), and you will keep your job.(for now). Because currently, due to this website iteration, YOU are the one who is irrelevant. Hurry up.
I used to visit the Fox News website multiple times a day to catch up on headlines and stories of interest. The new format is terrible. Takes up too much screen real estate and too time consuming to find what I want to see. This new format is a failure and whomever is in charge should be given their walking papers. Also, stop with the tabloid articles. If I want fake news, I'll go read the National Enquirer at the supermarket checkout!
The new website layout is atrocious. Slow, CONSTANTLY GIVES GENERIC WEBSITE ERROR AND REFRESHES. It will drive you insane. New layout sucks hard to find news that is relevant. I no longer use fox for news after using regularly for about 8 years.
I am a long time Fox News viewer, but simply cannot watch Sheppard Smith. What a idiot... May have to change news stations if he stay on the air!.
If I was CNN and I wanted to destroy Fox's web presence, this new site is how I would do it! They replaced almost all of the text links with videos in a cheesy tabloid format--takes MUCH longer to find topics. I want to skim an article - not scoll through endless photos & I don't have time for videos - which take forever to load... and then crash! Have given up in frustration each morning... this is so bad it can't be used.
For years it was my go to website for my morning news now it is way too busy and the website itself is horrible.
Must have gotten some millennial kids to turned a respectable news source into a bunch of Twitters. Bye bye
The new Fox News Web Site is simply Atrocious. It is far to slow to load, there is far less view able substance than before. We who frequent these pages are not Liberal Left Loonies, therefore we can read and do not Facebook or Video for every detail.
The Site is not only less enlightening, it is hard to navigate, not that there is much to navigate with this new layout.
Did anyone pilot test this new site? Who possibly thought this was a good design? Streaming content and ridiculous pop-up ads? Memo to management keep it simple like it was. You had it right the first time. I recommend you change it or you will lose many viewers.
Was a loyal user to get my news from the website-don't like the new format way too busy. Lost me as a supporter of foxs new via web
Fox news is great. However, cannot listen to Jessica with the whiny nasal
Voice that is grating to hear. You need to replace her with the many other
Wonderful news women.
The lead stories make no sense! I came to the site to get a quick update on the hurricanes and the recovery efforts in Mexico, and the lead story is some article about Kim Jong Un's intimate life. Seriously?!? I went over to CNN to get the updates I was looking for. Not that I want to make CNN any kind of regular habit, but at least when something serious is going on in the world, they have the sense to lead with decent, timely content.
You are not a blog site, you are a new site that should offer quick links to headlines. What was wrong with the previous version? Plus, you made me get an ad blocker because of the big giant ad on the top of your page.
The new Fox News website is awful. It's not worth the time scrolling on my phone to find anything. I really liked the easy of the previous site but this is just awful. I'll have to find my news elsewhere now.
I guess you were trying to mimic MSNBC because that just about what you did. It is too busy and convoluted to be enjoyable. Many headlines are just repeated over and over again to fill the page with noisy visuals. I used to enjoy reading the headlines and stories now I don't want to waste my time navigating around your ridiculous web site anymore.
Answer: Both are part of the make believe fair and balance crap
Answer: Following many complaints, including mine, about Mr Smiths' obvious obsession, with taking every opportunity to bad mouth the President, Mr. Smith has managed to gather many Fox viewers who would like to see him end is appearance on Fox News, and maybe get a job with a left wing liberal democrat loving, news outlet like ABC, NBC, CBC, etc. I'm sure any one of these news programs would love to hire Mr Smith. So Mr Fox News, do all of your loyal Fox News Supporters and Dump Shepard Smith immediately, if not sooner!
