Online ordering process was clunky, but the staff I talked with after my order more than made up for it. Very personable, helpful and efficient. So I added several items to my order. To explain my original 3-star rating, the online process had too many unnecessary steps. And I got an "invalid CVV" message on my Credit card info. I was about to cancel the order but when I clicked continue, the transaction went through. Also, the online process makes it hard for customers to order more than one item without going back to the cart. Consider the option of asking "would you like to purchase anything else" after the first item is put in the cart.
Order follow up with quick delivery. The customer service rep that called to confirm order was friendly and polite.
The probe works as advertised, although without a step, the probe is terrible for work use. If you are someone simply probing a few times periodically in soft soil then it will work fine. I am out in fields collecting samples all day after harvest in dry dirt and this probe is definitely NOT the choice for that. I spent half as much on a different probe already and it works so much better. Without a step for the design to assist with pushing into the dirt, it makes this probe not practical at all and very tiring. I also had the inconvenience of fighting the ejecter constantly. I made modifications to it in order to actually make it practical and the probe then didn't hold up and started to bend after only four days of use. I would not recommend this probe to anyone in the soil sampling business to be honest. I feel like I wasted my money, which is incredibly unfortunate with how expensive these tools are.
The experience was good and my order arrived in a timely fashion. I wish some of the items were less expensive, but that's just how it goes I reckon
