The snake guards are exactly as advertised. They are both light weight and comfortable and because of that I constantly wear them when in the swamps. They cover the majority of my leg and foot but you must wear good leather boots for complete coverage from snake bites. This is due to the small gap right below your ankle that is exposed if you don't wear boots. This could be corrected by installing three small flaps, just like the one over the top of your foot. Overall the snake guards exceeded my expectations and I am very satisfied with my purchase.
