I had technical troubles from the start. I had to choose another app which worked effectively. Asked for refund explaining my reasons. They require lots of info to even consider refund. But first you have to try to have tech support work through your issues. Then you reach an impersonal Emily Watson. Not sure if she a computer generated response as it responds in a cold and unfeeling manner. Anyway I gave up.

WASTE OF MONEY
February 9, 2020

I PURCHASED THIS THING ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH MOTOROLA. I EMAILED THE COMPANY FOR A REFUND WAS INFORMED THAT I SHOULD HAVE READ THE TERMS. I READ THE TERMS WHICH STATED THE SOFTWARE IS COMPATIBLE WITH MY DEVICE. WHAT A RIP OFF. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS JUNK. IT IS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.

I purchased Fonepaw's services to try and recover lost data on my phone. The software was never able to connect with my phone. Customer service gave me instructions on how to supposedly make it work. The instructions always failed. Then customer service told me I had a "root" my phone in order for this to work. When I learned what that meant I became concerned about the impact to my phone and told them I did not want to take that step. I asked for a refund. They refused and told me that because I would not root my phone they would not issue a refund. I will never recommend anyone use this company, because they do not honor their own terms for a refund and they have stopped responding to my requests for a refund. I now have to submit a claim with the Better Business Bureau. They are crooks.

NOT RECOMMENDED
September 3, 2019

I accidentally deleted pictures off my phone and tried to retrieve them with this app. I paid for the download and, in the instructions, it says it is not recommended to "root" if you have a Verizon or AT&T phone. The only way to retrieve deleted pictures is 1. The phone needs to be rooted and 2: lost data hasn't been overwritten by new content. Well, since they do not recommend rooting on a Verizon phone, which I have, I sent an email asking for a refund. I figure if the app developers themselves don't recommend it then they must know what they are talking about. This all transpired on Aug 12th and I am still trying to get a refund. I have been going back and forth with them. First they explained about the root system which I responded to that they themselves recommended not to do on a Verizon phone. Then they asked for the model of my phone to prove it was a verizon phone, which I did. Then i got an email that gave me a link to a site that would help me root the phone. That tutorial was sent 8/26, fourteen days after I sent the original email stating I couldn't use their app. The data had been overwritten by new content by 8/26 because they basically advised I couldn't use their app. I again asked for a refund to which I get a reply saying they offer a free trial and there I would have seen that the rooting step was needed. I wanted my pictures and chose to believe they could supply an app that would help me so I just bought it outright. STAY AWAY, especially if you are a Verizon or AT&T phone user.

It is highly recommended that you want to purchase the software of this software company, you can check it here, and hope that everyone can promote sitejobber, let more people know the software quality of fonepaw. Because my English is not good, I regret to know sitejobber until now.

When I bought FonePaw software, I found that I couldn't fix my phone at all, so I sent an email to 2checkout asking for a refund. 2checkout asked Miss Emily of Fonepaw to ask, Miss Emily immediately responded to 2checkout and would reject the customer's refund because Their internal emails were accidentally sent to me. Showing their 30-day money back guarantee is not true.

Or if you really want to buy, as Kevin said, be sure to pay with PayPal in order to have a guaranteed refund. Otherwise, you have to spend a lot of time and cost. My experience is that I keep sending emails to debate with their Marketing Supportor Miss Emily. The big point is to debate, it will cost you a lot of time, I spent three weeks. Until she couldn't argue, I got a 70% refund, but my phone was not fixed because of Fonepaw's software. I fixed it with free iTunes.
Only fixed my bad English.
So I think I was very stupid to buy FonePaw software and also charged 30% of the money.

In addition, the authenticity of FonePaw. Can be discussed by the following items
Their previous page shows that Chief Editor's Emily Watson and Customer's Bella, the photo is exactly the same, using the search engine to search, you will find this image has more explanation. In addition, they have now changed a new photo for Emily Watson. As long as they search by search engine, they will see more than one explanation. Many photos of this company have another possibility. And consumers can't upload their own photos on the message board. Where do the photos come from?

Before purchasing
August 27, 2019

If you can, use PayPal to purchase this software. I attempted to use the software, garbage though. Couldn't get any help/refund through fonepaw. Did a refund through PayPal, had to wait 10 days (or close to it), then the money was back in my account.

Did a full, 1 star review a while back, but hope this will help someone if they do decide to purchase and it doesn't work out.

I suggested my boss buy the fonepaw recovery program... she did buy it and when I try to start recovering data from her phone like she needed, it does NOTHING of the sort. But what they do offer is a separate program, under the 1st ones "tools", that you also have to pay for separately... on their site it says that the 1st one she purchased was for data recovery, but it's a bait and switch. Wretched trickstering here, support was of no help either, said she had to buy the other one separately.

Perhaps FonePaw can learn how great companies treat customers from clues in this story. It's June 2019 and one of my dearest friends is at the end of his life's journey. For 3+ years my friend has lived with brain cancer - glioblastoma - the same type of cancer Sen. John McCain had. My friend lives his life and is facing death with dignity and grace. During his relatively short life, he has always treated people with respect, no matter their circumstance. His honesty for and transparency with his family and thousands of friends will endure long beyond his days on this earth. I am blessed to be on a core team of friends and family caring for him and raising $ for his medical bills and for his two teenage son's college education. Recently, I purchased FonePaw to retrieve data and family photos from my dying friend's Google phone. I purchased the product with the assurance that I was under a real 30-day trial. After multiple attempts (and help from tech support) I was unable to register the product for use. In fact, without registering, I never used the product. I kindly wrote and requested a refund. I thought that FonePaw's 30 day trial meant just that - a 30 day trial. My request for a refund was denied. It is evident FonePaw does NOT value basic customer service. They refused to issue me a refund for a product I never used once. Maybe FonePaw can learn something from my dying friend. Look above at how I described my friend with brain cancer. Do not buy anything from FonePaw! It is a company that is not honest nor transparent (FonePaw promotes a 30-day trial while fully intending to stick it to you), especially if the product was never used.

I wrote & explained to them where I got stuck in the recovery process. My explanation included the fact that I had contacted Verizon support, & that THEY couldn't even figure it out.
That was actually my 2nd attempt to get help. Both times I got the same "too bad, so sad" auto-reply, saying how it must be my ineptitude.

Got macmaster's help
January 23, 2019

I tried to scan the iTunes junk, especially the update package, so I used that MacMaster to clean up the iTunes junk. At the first time, I cannot use this app I send the feedback to the support. Then they gave me tutorial to fix the issue. Thus I can delete the iTunes junks and those old files.

ZERO STARS... SCAM!
January 22, 2019

ZERO STARS!

I wish that I had come here first! Believe the bad reviews. The last Samsung phone that they even claim to support is a Galaxy S-6... a 2015 model. The same as others, no refund because I did not read the website that shows supported phones. I cannot find that anywhere on the site. I think the only way is to download the trial version. I am filing a dispute with my credit card and we will see what happens. DO NOT BUY THIS SOFTWARE!

Scammers
November 19, 2018

Do not use this. I cannot stress it enough. I wish I would have read more on the company before purchasing the software, I feel so stupid. They make it really difficult for you to know which software to buy and if you purchase the wrong thing they will not refund you. The website says that there is 24 hour support but they have no phone number to call and customer service via email is absolute sh*t. They're passive aggressive pricks. I highly recommend taking your device to a legit phone repair shop. Don't screw up like I did.

Scamming Bastards
September 27, 2018

Got scammed into this software purchase because i was panicking because my Galaxy S6 was not working correctly. I have contacted for refund but was told they have a strict refund policy which they say you have to give them proof of phone model, screenshots of problem etc etc. I cant give them that because i dont have the phone no more because i took it to the shop i bought it from and i was told that the phone was unrepairable so i have claimed a new phone from my phone insurance. I have told customer service this but they just repeat the same bull$#*! every time, they dont seem to take in that i no longer have the phone. Scamming Bastards

Stay Away
September 26, 2018

Software doesnt work on a consistent basis. Every time they do an update/fix the program stops working correctly.

Think customer support will help? NO. Their support team is a joke. Their only job seems to be stringing you along until you are past their refund policy.

Do Not Buy - better, more honest software is available. Also, not as much money.

Wait for license code
March 23, 2018

The program needs to be registered with license code and the code will be sent via email so I have waited for two hours. It is a long time. I used the code to register iPhone Data Recovery and extracted the data from my iCloud backups. It can recover the data from iCloud but only scan out ten backups from iCloud, as I remembered, I have backed up many many times.
