I signed up with the FlexJobs service to try to find a flexible remote position that would enable me to work according to my schedule. I had no idea at the outset that FlexJobs had so many local, national and international employers with so many options for full time, part time, alternate and/or flexible schedule, contract and freelance work available. I was able to perform searches under multiple categories including region, job type, schedule desired and search out the top employers in my field. The site also offers a slew of tips on everything from resume writing to time management to setting up your home office efficiently. It is an extremely well-organized site with hundreds of positions being offered in every field you can think of from reputable employers. I was incredibly impressed with their Skill Testing option which allows you to take tests of your primary skills and records your scores for viewing by potential employers. Needless to say, I found the flexible job I was looking for (a telecommuting position) and I can't say enough about FlexJobs to express my gratitude for opening my eyes to the different options available to working in the world today. Signing up with FlexJobs was worth every penny of the subscription!

It is hard to believe how quickly I found a job after joining FlexJobs. And not just any job, it's the best job I've ever had. I work from my home utilizing web-based team collaboration tools, and travel when needed. My job supports all of my professional goals, and allows for personal growth as well.

Flexjobs helped me transition into the world of remote work, a world I've enjoyed being a part of for about 18 months at this point. However, the key to making Flexjobs work is to be willing to put in a lot of effort. I applied to around 20 positions before I landed a job, and I put major effort into every one of those applications. To stand out as a remote applicant you have to really go the extra mile to look like an amazing applicant. If you're willing to do that, and recognize that you may have to put in a LOT of applications to find a role, then I'd recommend Flexjobs without hesitation.

When I was searching for my next career move I had a very specific type of job in mind. One where I was a remote employee, passionate about my work/industry, and involved 30-50% travel.

Flex jobs would send me positions specific to my experience and interest. Almost on week one, I came across a posting that completely fit what I was searching for.

I interviewed at the company 1.5 months later, and was hired shorty after that. I have recommended Flexjobs to anyone I know looking for work. It was exactly what I needed, when I needed it.

After retiring early in 2013 I discovered that I needed to return to work for a few years until I reach the age where I can collect Social Security. But I wanted to work on my terms this time around and that meant working from home.

I accepted a full time, permanent position with a nationally known health insurance company in February, 2016. I couldnt be happier with my choice and with my commute. A short walk down the hall. Was shocked at how easy it was to find a remote position (I travel full time) through flexjobs. I changed jobs several times after signing up to get the perfect job but flexjobs gave me the start I needed to get in with a company that was remote, then I was offered better positions through them and then eventually got my dream job, I could not have made the moves without flexjobs though - highly recommend! Worth the cost. Here's the coolest part though, it is normally IMPOSSIBLE to cancel a membership, but when I called to cancel (since I had a job) the person was extremely nice and then a few days later I received a congratulations package with some fun things - I have never been treated so nicely when I left a company. I would return to use their service if I ever need to again and have recommended them to many people wanting a more flexible lifestyle!
